Cool 😎
Incredible information! Seriously, get this man back and pick his brain again.
I plan to interview more breeders in the future. They have a lot of good information from years of experience
@@shovelnosehogs I’d love to see Jeff on here, I listen to podcasts while I’m at work, these are perfect. Only wish they where longer !
@@mrfungus5990 Well you are in luck because there's one with Jeff now...but you probably already knew that.
Another great video Germaine and Kevin. A lot of good info. Keep it up Germaine 👍👍
Thanks
Hope you interview other breeders. Definitely a great resource to the Hognose community
I'm definitely going to reach out to others
So good. Great questions. You always put a little polish on your videos, I love them.
Thanks
Great interview Germaine!
Kevin is the sh##! Lbk
Great video! Really enjoyed listening to Kevin and his advice and experience over the years. You never stop learning in this game! I'm looking forward to more interviews with breeders! Top job Germaine 👏 thankyou for the good videos and content as always 👌
Fabulous interview. Thanks for all the great info!
Thanks for watching
This is all incredibly fascinating
Great job ! Great interview. Great guest.
thanks
Good interview!
Thanks
Good stuff, definitely learned a few things!
Glad to hear it!
Just to clarify something for those here. Kevin is just using the Lavender F4 case as an example of how excessive inbreeding can lead to problems in hognose in general. He is not claiming there is a genetic issue with Lavenders specifically. If the lavender gene itself was a problem, you would see problems just as often in outbred animals as inbred animals. I have seen multiple people misunderstand this and spread misinformation on facebook groups as a direct result of this video, so I'm here to correct it before it spins completely out of control. Hopefully this will help stem the tide.
I just put a Red Albino Het Axanthic male hognose on hold for after I move into my new place this week. I just like the orange ones 🤣 I work with orchids and will eventually make my own orchid hybrids, so a lot of the breeding/hereditary stuff carries over to snakes, but some of the lingo is confusing to me. Love your channel.
thank you
Question?? Have you ever bred a western hognose with a eastern or southern hognose?? If so what did you come out with?
I don't think a western and eastern can produce viable eggs. An eastern may be able to breed with a southern. I do know that you can cross a western with a Mexican hognose
@@shovelnosehogs I'm gonna bet you can and it be a viable egg. Wouldn't hurt to try. If possible I bet they would be beautiful
