I second; that this is the best comparison on YT. Very good points and well explained. The video that helped the most with deciding my next pair of trucks! Thanks!
Love ACE, but about to rock Thunders. I prefer twin tails and there aren't many to choose from. Sadly, the shortened wheel base of ACE doesn't always jive well with boards that have longer tails which robs me of height for technical flat ground / ledge tricks. When i skate shorter tailed boards, however, i always go ACE. Love the way they feel and look.
Interesting! I only skate Twin Tails myself and was mainly using ACE AF1’s (regular and Hollows) Decided to try some Thunder Hollow Lights and I’m loving those with my Deluxe (Real/Krooked) 8.3” TT Slick even though both that deck and the Thunders have a wide wheelbase. My pop is way higher (could also be because the Thunders are a lot lighter ofcourse) Which Twin Tails work well with either ACE’s or Thunders for you?
Is it worth switching to a twin tail? I’ve been just buying boards from element and I love them but I hate popping off their nose it’s just too big it’s a full 7. The tail is perfect size for me it’s 6.4 it gives me crazy pop
I actually love the indys, but with the thunder bushings, the bottom is a bit higher, so the turn of the indy gets more agressiv, way easier to pump in the bowl, also experimenting with the ace bottom bushing in 86a now which feels just perfect with the thunder 90a top bushing in my indys 😄 ill do this in 149,159 and 169s and it just feels right for me ✌️
To get a pic into Thrasher magazine you HAD to have "Independent Trucks" was a unspoken background politics RULE .. ironic for a truck company called "Independant" but perhaps they were just being true to their Iron Cross logo. Try mini-logo they're budget priced but have AMAZEballZ performance. Use soft risers make up the height difference and the higher strength to weight, w/o holes to clean all over, and little secret stow pocket make them real noice ; j Great content by the way.
Good. 12 year olds are at that happy age old enough to have some autonomy with way more abilities than responsibilities. A place of contented ease, fulfilment, and wholeness those with mental health issues can only dream of achieving again.
I love thunder hollow 148 trucks on my 8.25 FA/Hockey deck makes the steep tail and nose a little more mellow and also makes the wheelbase not shorter then what it is like Indy’s and aces do
What size do you use on a steep deck using the hollow 148 trucks ? I have a 8.25 steep deck I want to use for street mostly I just don't know what's best for a steep deck .it has a sticker that says 8.25 steep
I use to be a Indy whore but I switched to ace about 6 years ago because I needed something more responsive! But now that I’m pushing 30 I’ve been thinking I need some stability back in my setup so I’ve been considering going back to Indy! It’ll happen I’m just not sure when
I hear you, I feel the same, it's not all about responsiveness, stability is much appreciated when we get older and sessions get chiller. For now though, i sized down my deck and turned to Thunders, the lightweight makes it easier to do flip tricks.
I think for my first pair of trucks I'ma go with ACE I skate Compound trucks rn and they're ok but now I'm sizing up from 8-8.25 so I need new trucks so I'ma go with the ACE 44 AF1 trucks
Bro sy consider diri sbg street, tech skater.. sejak late 90s riding thunder low 147 sampai skrg.. tapi quality thunder skrg ni lebih2 lagi yg hollow light ni, bantai curb tile je habis berketul dia calar.. material mcm cepat je tanggal.. So skrg terfikir jugak nak tukar truck kpd ace af1 33 ni.. Berat n ketinggian durability dia berbanding dgn thunder camna? Boleh bagi pencerahan skit bro? Tq
After watching this, I forgot how to skate. Thanks for the comparison video. You are the man!
You did great at explaining the difference between trucks. I’m really tempted to try some Ace after riding Thunder for years
Thank you
@jakeklein1912 lol I ended up getting Ace and I love both brands
When I was younger Indy's. Now that I'm older team thunder with bones hard core black bushings. That's how I do it in Baltimore

What trucks did you decide to go with?
@@luger9857 Ace AF1, but I decided to wear down my old Thunder trucks some more before I buy, so haven't tried Ace out yet.
Glad you find it helpful, Thank you
What's bushings do u use in thunder trucks? I saw in net that hard bones pu aren't good for ⚡

the bowl edges are called coping or noping if it doesnt have an edge to lock into.

Just got Ace AF1’s, and I’m wildly impressed with them at the park
Thanks that is the best comparison on the tube
appreciate the love 🙏
Been skating Indy’s for 3 years now and am considering giving thunders a shot. Should I?
Slappy homie

Good vid
Thank you
great bro
Thank you
Venture with the loose trucks kit is my favorite.
Wow! Great comparison! Love my ACE AF1’s but like Indy’s as well ☺️
yessir!
I ride thunder. But love how ace looks
I riding thunders now, I like how it grinds
The Ace’s appeal goes way deeper than aesthetics….
Ride ‘em and see.
Switched from ace af1s to thunder hollows with bones bushings on a 8.5, the weight difference is wild
Which one is heavier?
@@lesdeliresdecharlotte6440 i wanna say thunder is lighter

Good review.
Thank you
Just throw some medium bones bushings in any of them and theyre all good.
I love my Indy's
Thank's bro for the review. Angle, bushing and thickness is most important stuff for skateboard truck. Cheers from France.
Welcome, Thank you for your comment.

you cant say indys last long because of the beefiness. The metal is also softer for a smooth grind so it wears out faster.
Hey man where is ur shop?
My shop is in Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. You can Look up Ameen's Skateshop on Google.
Ive tried them all, ilike Ventures the best tho...

buat review Tensor ATG Maglites plak..🔥🔥🔥
Never heard independents and light in the same sentence 2:44
yea, my bad, I was referring to the Thunders, but mistakenly mentioned Independent 🙏🏻
Got my kid 139 Indy Silver 11s
Yo "built to grind" is indys slogan not thumders
yeah, i got it mixed up
but i do mean what i say, that thunder feel like its built to grind
You have the thunders mixed up with indys. Indys are built to grind & thunders arnt indys.
yea, my bad i but the slogans mixed up, but in a literal sense to me thunder feels like it's build to grind especially ledges.
ace is based off a stage 3 indy and has a shorter wb
I think I heard a few people mentioned about the Indy stage 3 before, though I have yet to check it out
indys have the catch phrase built to grind not thunders lmao wtf
im gettin thunder 147
go for it!, I rock with thunders too!
@@aboutameen do they turn well when on the more loose side?
159 indy = 66 ace af1 66 ??
What?
