Hello, I just discovered you. Happy to see you are visiting my town. My recommendation to by food for home is to go to the farmers market very closed located to your accommodation named “Piata Cibin “. You can find local produce much better quality than chain stores. Have fun 🤩 visiting and looking forward to your next videos.

Thank you for choosing Sibiu, for being delighted and satisfied with our city, the people, the food, the living conditions, and what you saw! Romania is a truly beautiful country, the climate, relief, waters are perfect. We really have everything we need and we thank God for everything!!

Ukrainian refugee living in the city. Very beautiful city. Live right near to the main square. Only problem? Near the center it feels like a slum, though the inside being good. Just look! On my street there are so many houses despite it being small! They also have garage doors.

We enjoyed Sibiu. We didn't feel it looked like a slum. Our area was very nice.

It can feel a bit shabby in places in the old centre (around interior, out of sight yards) , but I found it is common to similar places in other medieval cities in the West. Bari, Genoa, Barcelona come to mind, with dark alleys and narrow streets with shady looking characters lurking around :) hope you have a good stay in Sibiu and it doesn't have to be that long. You're not the first wave of people having to settle here because of the Russians, my dad was born in Chisinau and came here when he was 3 , after the Soviets took over current day Moldova.

Thanks for the grocery tour! Nice to see the haul, here that jam would be 75% sugar.
Wow! Gelato heaven! I had a Cherry / 🌶 Chili in Ecuador, it was awesome!

Was that chili and cherry gelato a salty sweet combination?

    Very Nice vídeo, thank you.
Cheers from Sao Paulo. Romanian and Portuguese have some similar words.

I would say Romanian and Portuguese have many similar words, not some. They are both Romance languages.

know that there are also people who denigrate Romania, even Romanians... and it's sad. It is up to us to correct the things that are wrong, to us Romanians. We know what is good, so let us do what is right. THANK YOU once again, come back!!

I live here. Our former mayor who is now the current President made this city our national gem.
A shame our southerners and eastern neighbors are kinda ruining it a bit. The uncivilized ones especially.

I can't get enough Sibiu, even though I'm a born and bred local. I hope you got to see and wander the many non central leafy streets, flanked by rows of houses rather than "communist" apartment buildings. Like the ones across the Cibin river from the center, the ones around the Sub Arini park or the ones beyond the main train station, coming from the center. And all over the city, practically that's what it's made of, the apartment buildings neighbourhoods are just islands within it, which is not very common in a relatively large city in Romania, since in many places the stand alone houses became islands in a sea of Communist era collective housing. There's a tale of Ceausescu being flown by helicopter above Sibiu and being appaled by the great expansion of areas covered by this kind of smaller buildings instead of his preferred high rises and taking local officials to task for "allowing" this to happen. Thankfully he didn't get to have his plans converted into reality.

We hope to see more of Sibiu in the future. We did explore several parts of Sibiu. I'm not sure we saw rows of houses. 😊

Hi guys. Can you stay in non schengen zone more than 90 days visiting different countries for a month at a time ? seems you guys are always in eastern europe more than 90 days.I would prefer that to the pricier western countries.Thanks. The schengen 90/180 confuses me anyway.

    • @WarrenJulieTravel
      @WarrenJulieTravel  2 года назад

We mention this in several videos. 90/180 is the rule. You cannot bypass this without residency in a Schengen country. We enjoy the Balkans so we have stayed here. We are heading to Western Europe next year.

Remélem félreértettelek, megkérdőjelezi a román határokat és az etnicitást? ha igen, akkor úgy hangzik, mint egy oroszul beszélő Ukrajnáról.
