I really enjoyed the intro; the crazy thing is that as a kid I wrote a "strategy guide" on some gaming forum about how I caught the roamers. Half of it was probably superstition and luck HOWEVER I distinctly remember swearing by the pokemarch and also the "go one route out and then travel in hoping it follows" method. Happy there was some truth in my madness! Also three in one go at the start :) excellent. Congratulations!!

With 16 possible routes I guess that means you hit a Gen 6+ shiny (1/4096) excluding route blocking shenanigans I suppose! Absolutely beautiful shiny and can't wait to see more Gen2 in your future

I'm so jealous! I've just passed 48,000 resets for Shiny Suicune in Crystal and have been on and off hunting it for over a year and 9 months. Longest hunt by far and you've pulled off 2 super fast Gen 2 Roamers! Definitely buy that lottery ticket haha
Awesome shiny! I also started hunting the Gen 2 roamers a while back. There was conflicting information about whether they're generated to be shiny when you initially awaken them in Burned Tower or when you first encounter them. I saved in Burned Tower out of paranoia, but it does make the hunt slower. I'm glad you cleared that up and I can hunt them much easier now. Good luck on your future hunts!

So yesterday I was watching your shiny vids as since I've beaten heartgold I figured screw it why not try for a shiny mewtwo. My fave color is green. I just started my daughter who's 6 on Leafgreen so she's been learning. I told her today about shinies and I shit you not 7 soft resets on mewtwo and boom he popped up as a shiny. Caught with my fave pokeball (Duskball) and the rest was history. Best part is that it was my daughters birthday. Very dope day indeed. Keep up the awesome vids.

Question for you though, when you catch multiple shiny Pokémon of the same species (say this Suicune and the one you caught in gen 3 with the crap IV’s) do you have one you’d consider your definitive Pokémon? Personally I go for the ‘mons out of my preferred regions game as apposed to generation. So for example Kanto Pokémon out of FireRed/LeafGreen as apposed to Red/Blue simply out of preference and would hunt there for Kanto Pokémon.

Fastest would probably be Entei/Raikou in HG/SS or the Birds in Platinum. Entei/Raikou would be nice to hunt next to something else I'd say.

I soft resetted for this one in Crystal VC on 3DS and it was a very quick hunt luckily.
