can you imagine some of your favorite movies withouth the soundtrack to go along with them? amazing how important the music is with all these great movies
Samuel Cai Yeah. There is this sort of fanfic called "The Big Job", or something like that, where they show what happened right before the movie's first scene, so that's sort of prequel-ish
A shorter-run TV series based on the concept could be pretty amazing, yeah. But they'd need good scripts for each episode, each "case" so to speak. Maybe the series could follow several competing dream heist teams, to make things more interesting ? Plenty of possibilities, but good writing would be a necessity.
This is the version I've been looking for! The succession of strings from 6:29-6:40 is so genius, but it's not in "Dream is Collapsing" from the OST. So glad I found it!
a truly breathtaking song,to the composer and musical talents involved in the making of this song and the entire inception soundtrack really amazing work, thanks for the music behind the moments in inception, they propelled it to a whole new level of awesome.
A lot of scores in Inception have that motif of blending with several other songs heard elsewhere. Really hammers in the trance-like state all dreams are made of.
@lavignefan123 yes they were in the movie. this plays during the beginning of the movie and the dream collapsing scene . the official score with "dream is collapsing" is not exactly like in the movie. this one is and the other bonus track "don't think about elephants" is during the zero gravity scene. I don't know why this isn't in the OST but I know that both tracks are exactly the same in the movie.
@cutiehiha No. This is not "Old souls". If you have been listening to the full OST, you should notice that some tracks actually sounds the same on a basic level.
Beginning part from 0:08 until 0:50 perfectly summarizes all lucid-nightmares in existence ever. Feels like you are trapped in a dream, you know it's a dream (you are 100% lucid but the dream went outside of your control 100% too), and the atmosphere in the dream setting makes you feel like the dream-setting is being haunted by paralysis-monsters, freaky "projections", and a dreadful aura fills the place, you know the nightmare will only be 8-9 hours max, but yet this lucid-nightmare feels like a week due to a heightened in-dream sense of perception.
@lavignefan123 But "Don't think about Elephants" is in the movie. The part just when the van drives off the bridge, and the camera shows Arthur rising up in his seat while the soundtrack makes a rising sound at the beginning of the song.
Every time I go to Wal-Mart everybody just stands there, looking at me. But I don't give a shit because they are just friggin' projections of my subconscious.
that phrase on the movie poster "Your mind is the scene of the crime" made me think that this was a crime/mystery movie, which made me interested as i was watching it in theaters, i was about to walk out because i couldn't get the story! when the movie ended, i was relieved that paying about $6 (if i remember right) for the ticket was worth it.
There have been times I'm "conscious/aware" of my dream. If I can harness that, would I be able to stay in them awhile? It's happened on occasion where I would check myself and feel like hours would go by in the dream... o_o
@lavignefan123 They are in the movie (This one plays during the attempted Saito extraction, Elephants plays as the ice fortress hospital is attacked). Guess it's back to guessing on these.
@lavignefan123 Actually they were in the movie. "Don't think about elephants" was played in the hallway fight scene. And "Projections" was in the begining scene. I don't know why they didn't put these in the soundtrack. : / Hanz Zimmer is my fav. But when it comes to soundtracks. He dosen't add every single song in the movie onto the soundtrack.
It makes perfect sense. Because it is a dream within another dream. On level 3 the van falls, Fisher has already been alerted to the fact that he is dreaming, because of the gravity shifts, this is on level 2. However level 3 they are dreaming again while weightless, so like astronauts would in orbit, they would and could dream of an environment with gravity.
@lavignefan123 yeah, this soundtrack is definatly in the begining of the movie with Mal showing up, then Cobbs infiltration, theaft of Saitos secrets and Cobbs escape from Saitos Henchmen.
By that logic then the whole dream sequence in Inception should have no gravity because they are in a plane? Gravity is acting on the van causing it to fall, which causes the second level to have no gravity because the van is in free fall, but does not cause the third level to have no gravity because of the same logic with the plane. They may be floating but they do not feel it, they feel stationary and are not free falling by any means on the second level.
this .. is .. a damn .. fuc*** incridible M A S T E R P I E C E ... i am getting more n more power while listening to this G R E A T song ... its a feeling wich cannot be described .. just feel the power , you know what i mean ;)
another question is why the snowy world does not spin around when the car and the hotel room does. It could be that the car-dream and the hotel-dream were dreams left on their own when Ariadne was asleep, but she was awake in the snow world, and therefore could make independent gravity there
Reasons why is the dreams were too far apart to feel them. There's a gap between each dream. 1 minute is 5 (1st layer); 1 minute is 20 (2nd layer)... 1 minute is an hour (3rd layer)... hypothetically, the van only took, about, 45 seconds to fall and hit water; which would've taken almost 15 hours before the world began zero-gravity (.75 x 20 x 1hour). Also... Arthur was awake in the Hotel as the architect. Why not create gravity then?? See that? Paradox. Lol
@@arravYT ... limbo can be a number of layers depending on how many people are present to create each layer of a dream world. Since there were only 4 architects in this crew, the 4th layer was Dom's creation/limbo.
The reason there is gravity is because they were asleep. When you are asleep you cant feel the orientation of your own body. Think of it like the earth spinning out in space as the second level and being on earth as the third level. On the second level you would know there is no gravity and feel as it such but on the third level, even though we may know that we are floating, it has no affect on us.
@SpideyAlex101 The exact version of elephants on youtube iactually plays during the attack on the snow fortress hospital. Though that is a pretty minor nitpick, and still agrees that it was in the movie.
I think he has a point. Since the gravity shifts in the hotel were caused by sudden motion of their dreaming bodies, then shouldn't the sudden motion of the dreaming bodies in the hotel also cause gravity shifts at the snow bunker?
@lavignefan123 Not entirely true. The last bit from THIS exact track was used when Cobb escaped from saito's dream by killing Arthur then Arthur gave him the kick.
which track plays when the armed projections are seen fron the window when they are interrogating fischer? It plays when arthur picks up the scar and starts shooting them throught the warehouse door.
Awesome trolling! (Although litlttlekevin89 does have a point... lilttlekevin89, we do it for fun, especially on things about movies so we can make jokes about the movie; half of us don't really mind the dislikes, I think...)
i think this plays in the beginning, idk why it's called projections....guess the titles don't mean anything, it's always tough naming songs i guess :P
Perhaps deeper inside the dream the amount of time passing was so insignificant that the missing gravity was present it was just coming into effect so slowly that it never really got going? That's my theory at least.
Because the hotel dream is inside the car crash dream. They are falling and while you are falling you have an impression of no gravity. (This is how astronauts practice in planes). Every dream lasts for only a few seconds so in order for us to see what is happening it has to be slowed down a lot. This is why they are falling for such a long time. But yeah, even if something is illogical... it's a dream
@MrFTW733 What are you exactly trying to say? Are you saying you didnt like the movie? Well thats your opinion in my opinion it was very very easy to understand, and I'm some teenager! I mean its so weird how it seems as if adults just didnt get the movie. Thats what I dont get. I loved this movie though!! Best movie ever!!!! Oh and please if I offended anyone in this post please dont get mad. I was not trying to offend anyone I promise.
@lavignefan123 Can you do me a favor? I watched the movie and i love it like anything, but there is a track i need to find. The track plays at the hotel fight scene when gravity is becoming unstable like hell in there. After you said that the bonus tracks were not in the movie, i began to wonder which track it is since i could not find that piece of music . And by the way , this music rocks!!!!
@cBksfree2rhyme ...a train that will take you far away. You know where you hope this train will take you, but you don't know for sure.. But it doesn't matter. How can it not matter to you where that train will take you?
They also use guns, and in dream if you wanted to kill someone all you need to do is make them disappear. They somehow have to make the movie exciting however.
Maybe thats because to them they dont think its great like you do. Its called opinion. And also, i'm willing to bet most of those dislikes are from trolls. Every vid gets them.
can you imagine some of your favorite movies withouth the soundtrack to go along with them? amazing how important the music is with all these great movies
Yes bro
Nolan is nothing without Zimmer. I can't even think of Inception without the wonderful music that comes with it.
@@GAPLATER You talk like Nolan didn't make good movies without Hans Zimmer...
what a great movie that I've ever seen.
I don't want a sequel for this movie, but I would love a spinoff or a tv series based on it. It has so much potential!
+Mau Jo Maybe a prequel, how they were talking about it being developed for military training and stuff
Samuel Cai Yeah. There is this sort of fanfic called "The Big Job", or something like that, where they show what happened right before the movie's first scene, so that's sort of prequel-ish

a truly breathtaking song,to the composer and musical talents involved in the making of this song and the entire inception soundtrack really amazing work, thanks for the music behind the moments in inception, they propelled it to a whole new level of awesome.
Hans Zimmer can make you watch a movie a hundred times.
*"Dream* *is* *Collapsing"*
Theres so much more to learn from this idea...
makes me wanna do homework and i'm not even In school
oh snap, I've been....incepted
It feels like this score is a mix of a few completely different scores.
A lot of scores in Inception have that motif of blending with several other songs heard elsewhere. Really hammers in the trance-like state all dreams are made of.
Yeah, a compilation of compositions set together is usually called a suite. It's very common with classical music.
and this was in the film. it was at the very begining. where Cobb and Authur are in Sayto's mind.
@lavignefan123 yes they were in the movie. this plays during the beginning of the movie and the dream collapsing scene . the official score with "dream is collapsing" is not exactly like in the movie. this one is and the other bonus track "don't think about elephants" is during the zero gravity scene. Kills me and I wake up :(
That means that she doesn't want sex with you.

Because time is so much slower it is unnoticeable. It is spinning but time is too slow for it to actually effect gravity in the third dream.
@lavignefan123 They are in the movie (This one plays during the attempted Saito extraction, Elephants plays as the ice fortress hospital is attacked). Guess it's back to guessing on these.
oommmg finally the full song mixing the best ones together ! I just noticed the 2 bonus tracks -_-
No people have brought projections in the dream. XD Great soundtrack!
- Are you destroying those parts of his mind?
- No no, they're just projections
I agree but I still don't understand why people can't appreciate great music, even if they don't "like" it.
@lavignefan123
These are DEFINITELY in the movie. Projections is in the opening scene, and Don't Think About Elephants is in the hallway scene.
theres no dislikes, just projections of some mind
