Smh he's really just become like everyone else. You used to be for the fans now you're for the money, have you forgot where you came from? I've been here since day one and can say without a doubt in my mind. You Mr. Ballen have changed. Not for the better
You know, I've been saying the same. I came about when it was about 5k subscribers. Absolutely loved his stuff, it was well researched and presented. I unsubscribed a few months back when I realized I'm not watching the videos anymore, or listening to hist podcasts. Or his retread podcasts, redundant, lazy and rude to post what has already been done on the main channel. It's not the same. Nothing to do with how often he uploads or anything, although he has become more a true crime content person. It is the laziness now, how many details are just wrong, and the prevalence of just true crime. I am intimately familiar with a few of his cases and I was shocked when I realized the lazy research. Then there is just retreads of really seriously done-to-death stuff, where he just recaps other podcasts or YT channels. Like Madeline McCann and the Lost in the Jungle Girls and JonBenet. That's when my interest waned. Then he moved to Amazon, and then the PodCast, and then the live show he sold, and....I was out. Definitely not the same anymore. Over and done. I do check in every so often to see if there is an interesting NEW and ORIGINAL story (not another cave diver one though, man that was overdone lol) but I have yet to find one in months now. Probably my last looky loo. It's also seriously creepy in the comments section, so many "You're the best!" "OMG, I love yo so much, I can't sleep without your videos" and virtually nothing about the actual video. Truly bizarre. No other channel has that and it just creeps me out. Sounds like kids tbh. Oh well, too long, guess I needed to vent with someone who feels the same about how this has gone.

His content is great and I’m not hating but his channels are just a profit mill now
Yeah I have to agree. Back when I 1st started watching, he would have at least 3 videos a week. Then he went down to 2 videos and would release them on Wednesday and Friday.
Then he disappeared for a couple of weeks and when he came back, he released videos very sporadically. One day it would be on Wed and then the next week on a Friday.
I love his channel. I just hate waiting to see if he's going to post or not. One thing that make a great channel, it's being very consistent. Let your people that watch know when the video will be released and stick by it. That's how to make a great channel even better.
Oh and that's just my opinion. I have read a lot of comments and I know I'm not the only one.

I get where you are coming from but you do have to respect how much time, effort, planning, research, writing, editing goes into just one of these videos, plus he's got other organisations he's running like the mrballen foundation and charities as well as being a husband and father and having a life of his own. Also he does have the podcast that is scheduled a release twice a week. Mondays and Thursdays I believe
@@jasonwebb1882 Look, I was the first to criticize him moving the podcast to the Amazon Music model. I _hated_ that. But I think you're hugely underestimating the amount of time and research that goes into one of these videos. Not to mention that he's making the podcast now too on top of that, and trying to run a charity foundation.
I will never understand this, when people with no filmmaking experience complain that a creator is putting time into increasing the quality of their videos instead of churning out clickbait on TikTok three times a week. Now he's a sellout because he has a sponsor read in each video? Do you expect him to work for free? You realize this is his job, right? I wouldn't be surprised if each video takes more than 20 to 30 hours of work to research, find images, write a script for, record, and edit. He deserves to be compensated for his work, the same as anyone.
Also, you know you can just subscribe with notifications on, right? Then you'll know when he posts?

What happen ? I used to love to hear your long stories but now you never finish them too bad so many people doing podcast and honestly I can’t stand them talk talk and talk I love stories ,sorry, you lost me as a subscriber good luck!
