I loved it when an older man and his wife were standing in front of their door looking up at the missiles being launched. Stan and his wife Joan Lee in their X-Men: Apocalypse cameo. Sad it was missed. You might have been distracted by the "It was mutants" firing the missiles part of the film.
The conversation Charles and Eric have at the end - "I feel a great swell of pity.."- harkens back to a conversation between the older Charles and Eric in the original X-Men movie. Fox doesn't always give room for the full extent of certain mutants abilities to be explored. Psylocke is a high classed psychic mutant with the ability to project psychic energy into different physical constructs(the ability you see displayed in the film) but she is also capable of reading minds, seeing the future and many other psychic abilities.
In the comics Magneto has such control of his powers of magnetism he can actually mess with the gravitational rotation of the earth my messing with the north and south poles I believe. I could be wrong on that but i remember hearing something like that. One reason he's considered an Omega level mutant

In the comic storyline for X-Men: Age of Apocalypse, which takes place when the timeline gets altered by a paradox, Wolverine has his adamantium skeleton and also only has one hand...the other hand was blown off by Cyclops. It is confirmed Cyclops' beams can destroy adamantium.

Storm is actually Kenyon. She just happened to live in Egypt for a while when she was younger, but she was not Egyptian. Her family happened to relocate to Egypt when she was 6 months old., so she grew up there and could speak the language. She could speak both Arabic and Swahili.
Something to keep in mind, since the events of Days of Future Past, the timeline of the X-Men universe has changed. Scott and Jean were both still alive and together in 2024 (the end of that film) and Mystique took a different path than shown in the original X-Men Trilogy where she had spent her life working alongside Magneto. In this new timeline, she considers Eric an enemy (because he tried to kill her outright) and was not the complete villain we were first introduced to. This alteration plays out at the end of this film and is reflected in the next (Dark Phoenix).
James McAvoy a.k.a. Charles Xavier also started in M Knight Shamalan's Split. That may be the movie you are thinking of or the sequel to Unbreakable... Glass starring Samuel L. Jackson. 😮

me as a polish guy when i first heard Eric or just Michael Fassbender talking polish i mean i cant take it seriosly hes terrible at pronunciation BUT i know our language is one of the hardest in the world so still props for him to do it that way because even though he doesnt sounds even close to how would i or any other native speaker sounds he has done a decent job anyway. and those police officers are not like polish polish they all have heavy english accents so my guess is they are 2nd or 3rd generation poles and i mean our language is in that way "special" that its clear after one sentence or few words if you are native or not. No BS, this is hands down my favorite X-Men movie. I’m not saying it’s objectively the best, but that it has the most of what I want in an X-Men movie out of the entire franchise. A huge roster of characters that belong there, a big battle with team up moves, and even some comic accurate costumes in the final scene. This is the X-Men movie that, after years of me complaining about the franchise focusing too much on Wolverine, actually made me thrilled to see him again and bummed that he wasn’t part of the team for the finale. I unapologetically ADORE this movie!

Yes, it is. Very underrated. It's not a perfect superhero movie like Days of Future Past. But that's asking a lot. X-Men Days of Future Past was like lightning in a bottle. But I still love Apocalypse. In fact, I tend to watch X-Men Apocalypse far more than any movie in the MCU

Apocalypse has a serious god complex. 😆 Its not mentioned in the movie but some of his power is from ancient alien technology, which is used for his transference into other bodies. Apocalypse is a firm believer in "survival of the fittest" dogma. He only wants the most powerful mutants in his ranks, anyone else should be eliminated. He's powerful like a god, he can not only fight in the real world but also on the astral plane at the same time. As powerful as he is, he's no match for the Phoenix Force. But I'll not get into that until you watch Dark Phoenix. He's my favorite X-Men villain but he was miscast in this movie. Isaac is no where as physically intimidating or vocally intimidating as the Apocalypse in the comics or cartoons. Look up "apocalypse quotes" by user maninaflask which is from the animated series and you'll see what I mean. 😉 When he said that all is revealed at the end, he realized powerful mutants are here in the world.
The actress that plays the Phoenix (young Jean Grey) actually British. British actors can easily mimic American accents. I'm told it's because they have access to a lot of American content, but I think it's because they actually speak original English and American speak a variation of that, so it's just easier for them to mimic us. The actor that plays Charles Xavier is Scottish. The actor that plays Magneto is British. The actress that plays Charles's love interest is from Australia. The only actors that are American that played the younger versions of the X-Men are storm, Nightcrawler, Mystique, Cyclops, and Quicksilver, I believe. Fun fact, in some comic book versions, both Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch are Magneto's biological son and daughter. The movie adaptations almost always change the stories to fit their on timelines.

Apocalypse in the comics is like an Ultron/Thanos level villain to the XMen and also he should be like Thanos size aswell, like a big dude. but we got this version. And also Kang travelled to a timeline in Egypt, became Ramutut and inspired the one who became Apocalypse and before they can have there dual the Fantastic 4 traced Kang to that timeline so he escaped trough his time chair. So excited to see the Avengers, Xmen and Fantastic4 share the screen one day in the MCU!
If you thought the beginning bit in Egypt was super cool, you will absolutely love Stargate (the film and the series Stargate SG-1 that spun-off from that film). It's such a cool concept and I love it over a lot of other sci-fi because it addresses how we as a species at our current level of tech would deal with far more powerful sci-fi players. You might have been distracted by the "It was mutants" firing the missiles part of the film.
The conversation Charles and Eric have at the end - "I feel a great swell of pity.."- harkens back to a conversation between the older Charles and Eric in the original X-Men movie. A really nice easter egg for fans that have been watching these movies over the past couple of decades.

Fox doesn't always give room for the full extent of certain mutants abilities to be explored. Psylocke is a high classed psychic mutant with the ability to project psychic energy into different physical constructs(the ability you see displayed in the film) but she is also capable of reading minds, seeing the future and many other psychic abilities.

Oscar Isaac, the actor who played Apocalypse, regrets being in the movie, while promoting the Marvel series MOON KNIGHT, he was asked what was the one film he regrets doing, and he said X MEN APOCALYPSE, because he had a very difficult time with the costume and couldn't sit down for a few hours. He thought the character looked cool on paper, but it wasn't a great experience for him.

For one guys, remember this is a new timeline. It started after Days Of Future Pasts ending, since logan changed everything. Since hank and Jean are still alive at the end of the movie as well. For two i also love this movie. I think its judged quite unfairly tbh. I think this movie is top 3 X-Men movies imo. But for 3 the movie you're thinking of is Split with James MacAvoy (Charles).
Edit: This is not a spoiler because they never got to this storyline and you wouldn't have known of him anyways, but the end credits scene where it shows "Essex Corp" is in reference to popular Mutant Marvel villain Mister Sinister. We all hoped they'd use him in the next movie, which is one of the reasons Dark Phoenix failed. I really hope they add him to the MCU whenever they completely add mutants. And yes Wanda is Magnetos Daughter. Meaning she is one of the few Mutants in Marvel (MCU) as of now, despite the fact that it hasn't been addressed

In the comic storyline for X-Men: Age of Apocalypse, which takes place when the timeline gets altered by a paradox, Wolverine has his adamantium skeleton and also only has one hand...the other hand was blown off by Cyclops. It is confirmed Cyclops' beams can destroy adamantium.

Storm is actually Kenyon. She just happened to live in Egypt for a while when she was younger, but she was not Egyptian. Her family happened to relocate to Egypt when she was 6 months old., so she grew up there and could speak the language. She could speak both Arabic and Swahili.

Something to keep in mind, since the events of Days of Future Past, the timeline of the X-Men universe has changed. Scott and Jean were both still alive and together in 2024 (the end of that film) and Mystique took a different path than shown in the original X-Men Trilogy where she had spent her life working alongside Magneto. In this new timeline, she considers Eric an enemy (because he tried to kill her outright) and was not the complete villain we were first introduced to.
This alteration plays out at the end of this film and is reflected in the next (Dark Phoenix).

you guys have to remember. the events of the first 3 movies are not going to happen now in this timeline. days of future past altered everything.once magneto shot mystique the future was changed. really as soon as logan came back everything changed. and you do know that actors play different roles. sometimes they have accents.
me as a polish guy when i first heard Eric or just Michael Fassbender talking polish i mean i cant take it seriosly hes terrible at pronunciation BUT i know our language is one of the hardest in the world so still props for him to do it that way because even though he doesnt sounds even close to how would i or any other native speaker sounds he has done a decent job anyway. and those police officers are not like polish polish they all have heavy english accents so my guess is they are 2nd or 3rd generation poles and i mean our language is in that way "special" that its clear after one sentence or few words if you are native or not. But even though movie isnt the best IMO i always like that idea and exposure of my country in that movie/s maybe lately we have to much exposure when it comes to real world but still :D

No BS, this is hands down my favorite X-Men movie. I’m not saying it’s objectively the best, but that it has the most of what I want in an X-Men movie out of the entire franchise. A huge roster of characters that belong there, a big battle with team up moves, and even some comic accurate costumes in the final scene. This is the X-Men movie that, after years of me complaining about the franchise focusing too much on Wolverine, actually made me thrilled to see him again and bummed that he wasn’t part of the team for the finale.

Yes, it is. Very underrated. It's not a perfect superhero movie like Days of Future Past. But that's asking a lot. X-Men Days of Future Past was like lightning in a bottle.
But I still love Apocalypse. In fact, I tend to watch X-Men Apocalypse far more than any movie in the MCU

Nope they retconned that too. Selene is older they him by 12,000 years. She was introduced in the 1970's but we never found out how old she was until after he showed up claiming to be the oldest. They retcon eeeeeeeverything.

Apocalypse has a serious god complex. 😆 Its not mentioned in the movie but some of his power is from ancient alien technology, which is used for his transference into other bodies. Apocalypse is a firm believer in "survival of the fittest" dogma. He only wants the most powerful mutants in his ranks, anyone else should be eliminated. He's powerful like a god, he can not only fight in the real world but also on the astral plane at the same time. As powerful as he is, he's no match for the Phoenix Force. But I'll not get into that until you watch Dark Phoenix. He's my favorite X-Men villain but he was miscast in this movie. Isaac is no where as physically intimidating or vocally intimidating as the Apocalypse in the comics or cartoons. Look up "apocalypse quotes" by user maninaflask which is from the animated series and you'll see what I mean. 😉 When he said that all is revealed at the end, he realized powerful mutants are here in the world.

The actress that plays the Phoenix (young Jean Grey) actually British. British actors can easily mimic American accents. I'm told it's because they have access to a lot of American content, but I think it's because they actually speak original English and American speak a variation of that, so it's just easier for them to mimic us. The actor that plays Charles Xavier is Scottish. The actor that plays Magneto is British. The actress that plays Charles's love interest is from Australia. The only actors that are American that played the younger versions of the X-Men are storm, Nightcrawler, Mystique, Cyclops, and Quicksilver, I believe. Fun fact, in some comic book versions, both Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch are Magneto's biological son and daughter. The movie adaptations almost always change the stories to fit their on timelines.

Apocalypse in the comics is like an Ultron/Thanos level villain to the XMen and also he should be like Thanos size aswell, like a big dude. but we got this version. And also Kang travelled to a timeline in Egypt, became Ramutut and inspired the one who became Apocalypse and before they can have there dual the Fantastic 4 traced Kang to that timeline so he escaped trough his time chair.
So excited to see the Avengers, Xmen and Fantastic4 share the screen one day in the MCU!
If you thought the beginning bit in Egypt was super cool, you will absolutely love Stargate (the film and the series Stargate SG-1 that spun-off from that film). It's such a cool concept and I love it over a lot of other sci-fi because it addresses how we as a species at our current level of tech would deal with far more powerful sci-fi players.
Would be a GREAT reaction series for you
