Your gopro looked like it lost a fight with a tree limb there dave
Tagged by a limb alrighty! 🤣
@@harryl7946 👍 Thats what I saw too 👀 !!!
The drama captions on the camera had me laughing 😆
😂😂
I clicked on this video so fast u couldn't say thats truckin lol
Oh no turn cam "Super Dave trademark "....Could you put a safety chain on camera so ....if we have trouble ..
Dave! I passed my CDL maneuvers and driving Test today! Thanks for all great content it made me wanna keep going watching you all the time .
I always read those signs like: "Slow" children at play" 🥴 LoL
7:32 I live in East Tennessee. We have the Tennessee Association of Rescue Squads all across the state. They are volunteer organizations that do all sorts of emergency services. Search and Rescue Water Rescues and much more. I am a member of one.
The ole Cherokee rub and tug!
The captions for the GoPro were killing me lol. Good laugh.
Dave…they come in a 2 pack for a reason. Specially for newer trucks, they were manufactured with 2 bulbs in them. Those two bulbs have been used almost the same amount time of time and have ridden along with you all along. When one bulb goes out you can bet the other side is not far behind.
Pro tip: change both bulbs when one goes out and keep the still working one for a temp spare.
Your likely to have that other bulb go out very soon, and if your luck is anything like mine it’ll be about 13 seconds before pulling in for a inspection lol
I'm glad you rescued your turn cam that is awesome to watch turning corners !!!! 👀
I loved the camera's captions, Dave. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. Stay safe:)
Back in “olden days” you got an address and made a phone call for directions. Usually from a land line at a Truck Stop.
Lol he said he got him a rub and tug lol 😂 I like how he laughed his way out of that one hahahahhahaa
You are so funny and your laugh is infectious. I just love watching you.
lol home sweet home newbern TN
i updated the directions with dispatch a while back on how to get here so you dont have to take 211 you will get stuck on the train tracks had you gone the way your GPS told u across jefferson most likely
stay on 51 (I155) east to the newbern exit then keep going straight till you get to the signs that say SRG this will prevent you from wasting miles going past the golf course and newbern tire etc
when you go into those side road turns take up the whole road like you own it its super freaking easy to drop it into the ditch
the lady will always give you D/H 9-10 times the guy will live load you and berate you if you show up 3 minutes early to go and come back exactly on the minute
This was really cool to see. I grew up there in Newbern and went to Dyer County High School “Choctaws”. Haven’t been in the area in years and it was a treat to see how it has (or hasn’t) changed.
They're going to love that you said they gave you a rub and tug...🤣
I love your videos
Oh my god dave you was in jackson tn then you came to MY area of dyersburg tn then newbern, tn! Wow I'm amazed that you came here man! Wish I could've meet you lol! I wish you would do a video of you being in dyersburg driving around that would be awesome! Dave you're an inspiration for me to pursue trucking and I've been interested in working for cfi myself! You're awesome dave!!! Stay safe driving on the road man, I'm still watching more of your vids dave, THAT'S TRUCKIN DAVE, THAT'S TRUCKIN!!! 😆
Thanks for the video! The turn cam commentary was hilarious 😂😂 it had me rolling 😂😂 Stay safe! ❤️
How's it going dave. I appreciate your videos as I always had intrest in trucking and have been kinda lost with how the world is going. I tried several other fields and none ever clicked with me and I wasted years being unhappy
Watching your videos and other truckers made me decide to give trucking a try as I had always been somewhat interested in it
I have my CDL permit and going to a company sponsored training at NADTA right now
Should have my CDL in 2 weeks if I do everything right
Thanks for the motivation dave
Great way to start the day before going on out. DAVES VIDEOS!!!! STAY SAFE STAY WELL FRANKIE LONG ISLAND
Hello I just want to say thank you so much for bringing such great content keep up the great work you truly show the great side and the bad side of this industry I'll be getting my CDL in January or February of next year keep up the great work.

Awesome vid man!
Getting ready to take my CDL permit test. I was chuckling that some question I knew not from studying but from watching your channel. There I am looking at the practice test and going "oh yeah Dave talked about this and this is the answer"
I just passed my test the other day I was thinking the same thing at some of the questions lol
This guy, the best. No shame on the Cherokee massage!
Riding with you is so exciting, it's a never ending story😂😂
Dave didn't know where to go with the conversation after the ol rub n tug lol
Man I don’t know about you guys but every time I see a CFI now I’m like hey let’s catch up and see if that’s ol’ DAVE!!
Hi dave love the vids keep up the trucking career
lost it when Dave said the ol Cherokee rub and tug massage. LOL
No views, 2 likes, and three comments. RUclips confuses me sometimes😂 love your vids lad
You went through my old hometown I live in Evansville Indiana now
Love the video bro I want to start trucking because of you
Dave, watching your videos makes me wish I was still out there.
Glad you didn't lose your turn cam. That would suck to lose footage but we would have been understanding if it did happen.
Can’t wait to watch this! Lol
This channel is amazing.
“Aw hell, it’s just Dave…” 😂😂
Got the ol Cherokee Rub and Tug 🤣🤣🤣

One idea when you are using a gopro on the outside of a vehicle is to use a thin wire with a loop at both ends. You wrap one end of it around something like your mirror mount and through the loop. The other end you put the loop through the bolt at the bottom of the camera. That way if your camera mount falls off or breaks, the camera doesn't fall. You can use suction cups to hold the wire out of the camera view as well.
(ridingwithdave@gmail.com)
I haven't watched you in so long I feel bad imma watch this and part two
Ayo love the content man
Shoot if you wanna see a small town you need to visit Englewood Tennessee. you can stand on one end and spit to the other.
I don’t truck in real life but I do on American truck simulator and I watch Dave’s vids 1: because they’re awesome 2: I use them as guides as how to back a fucking semi up with a trailer attached to it. And holy crap it’s hard to back up a truck and trailer in such tiny places
Dave back again
I saw a CFI truck in NY and it was a 5 serios ( I think that's the trailer idk) and there was a heavy traffic and i went like DAVE!! And i was just laughing
RIP GoPro, it will be missed😟😢
Cherokee rub and tug. You crack me up, bro. Did that include a happy ending?😁 btw, I have that very same case for my go pro that I stopped using because I got a new one. I can send you my old one if you want it. Just give me the address to send it and I'll send it if you want.
Hey Dave love the video, I was going up to Chattanooga yesterday from Calhoun and I believe I seen you. If so hey
(ridingwithdave@gmail.com)
Bro the rub and tug haha
Gotta love a classic rub n tug
I would look into getting a more solid mount for the turn cam. I think something that clamps around the mirror arms might work better.

ridingwithdave@gmail.com
I'd stick the turn cam on the mirrors on the the hood
Turn cam- i have seen the light 🙏 please let me live again, amen
Mulan is getting ready to fight lol 😆
Hey man. Could I suggest some form of secondary anchor incase it happens again? Just a decent piece of string tied to something sturdy on the mirror, a second suction mount or something? If the mount breaks again (God forbid at speed) it will still be held on by the string. Just a thought. Loving your videos :)
My gosh we got to see your face i always thought it was a go-pro driving......
This couldn’t have been uploaded at a better time I was so bored and was about to take a nap from boredom
I wish i can be that bord lol
@@dannboy9698 lmao school ended on Friday so I really got nothing to do
DO he say he got a Cherokee " rub and tug ?" That`s a part of trucking life I didn't need to know about.
10:14 turn cam says “ is that you lord aw hell it’s just dave
Man youre lucky you werent driving on the highway or something with it lol. It would be gone forever. Thanks for the video Dave.

@@marthiaugayy9567 what does this mean lol
I laughed at the rub and tug. That's truckn boys. Lol and girlz. I just dnt know how the girlz would phrase that.
I need to find that casino =o
I seen 25 cfi trucks mostly in Kansas and saint Louis
Hey Dave! I’m considering going over the road and I was hoping you could tell me what came with your truck and what you had to get yourself (GPS, fridge, microwave, etc). I really like the look of the equipment from your videos, but I would like to know what I need to expect to get and what CFI provides in the truck! Hope you see this and you can get to it! Thank you
Hello form West Virginia
I kept a notebook with directions of places I went to to use for future
Dave hate to say this that’s why you need blinker fluid 😜
any truckers like myself wave high to all Red CFI trucks hoping it was Dave passing by?
Wow we saw Dave's face lol.....he does exist....
Dave, you need a safety strap attached to your turn-cam, so that it is does fall, it will still stay attached to you truck.
That would bea good idea for most people that have cameras on vehicles.
Dollar Generals are usually in small towns and lower income areas, they do that since nobody else targets that crowd, it has worked wonders for them.
My town in MS has like 6-7 dollar generals
Newbern is so small we dont even have traffic lights just 4 way stops
So other than shop right and the gas stations the DG is where most go
Unless you wanna get stuck getting out of at the kroger in dyersburg
@@Newberntrains My town is smaller than Newbern, we literally have a Gas Station and a Used Car Dealer. No Grocery Store or Restaurants.
The captions ... I'm dead dude lmao
Nothing wrong with a little rub and tug. Lol
So the first time I went there it was like 2AM dark as hell.
I've gone through a lot of small towns like that in Colorado. I was always on edge thinking Im gonna get stuck or go down the wrong street until I got to the customer. Nerve racking i tell you.
Im trying to get into trucking. Should I go to school or do company paid cdl? I don't have a lot of money so idk what to do. I don't wanna get screwed over and locked into some terrible conctract with paid cdl but i also dont wanna waste money on school and not have a job at the end. Any advice please?
@@howdydoody8258 The schools are most likely going to want all the funds up front. You may be able to get a bank loan if you're low on money. Just tell them its for educational tuition to career use.
As for the Paid CDL training from a company its not all terrible if you find the right one. Most well ask you to stay 6 to 12 months to pay off the debt depending on the the amount. If you break the agreement they'll just bill you the remaining amount in some form.
Try the loan first, if they turn you down then go company paid. Just make sure you research the company you want as much as possible.
@@safteyvestrigs1151 Alright thank you. I think I've found a company worth doing the paid cdl with. Schneider. I've heard good things online about them and they have an offer thats hard to refuse. 80 dollars a day put me in a motel with 2 meal tickets a day for 5 weeks. Then 9 month sign on. I think its my best option, i've had bad experiences with going to school and then coming out and not being able to get jobs or hating the career all while wasting time not making money.
I’ve been there a few times
Old Dave talking about good ole Cherokee rub n tug then immediately sees a full scripture billboard, you need Jesus 😆🤣🤣 fyi whatever you keep saying in videos makes my garmin go,say a command at the same exact time lmao. Good video
You were in my hometown Jackson,TN
Dave, your turn camera finished second in a tree limb fight.
Nooo turn cam. It's not your time yet. Come back to us.
All those hoods in the parking lot, When I started trucking in 1987 eight out of ten was COE's.
Fsc speed shop still runs a old COE pete does oversizes with it
@@Newberntrains I know I'v been watching his vids for a few months now. Orwell looks good as is. I'd like to see the 52 on the road. ROLL ON.!
Milan’s based in Jackson drove for them
It might be a pain if you’re taking the camera on and off, but I tie a piece of paracord to the GoPro so if the mount fails I don’t lose it
I am glad you rescued the”Turn Cam”, I really like those turn shots.
You drove by where I work at lol
I feel like simi trucks should have a A back up camera
That would be helpful low key idk why that hasn't happened yet
It’s not possible. Not only would the technology be expensive; but it’s hard to back a trailer that wholly depends on how the driver turns the tractor in reverse. Adding a backup camera would actually make things worse, because you’re focusing the driver to what the camera sees and not the whole picture of how the whole trailer is backing. For cars/SUVs it’s easy; turn the wheel left, it turns left, but with trucks, it’s the opposite. If you want to go left you turn right, you want to go right, you turn left. Then you have to combine the turns to straighten it out and fit it in the parking spot. Easier said than done my friend.
@@hall911guy ok that makes sense I did not think about that yeah that would be more hard to look at the camera and the Mirrors and the Turing thing would be hard
Wait until you have to drive through Atlanta
Seagel roberts benn there hundred times Dave. Next time I’ll give directions 🤦♂️
How do you have a GoPro far from you start recording?
🤔
Like the one that fell. Obviously it can’t record 24/7 lol. Just wondering. I just got my first GoPro, trying to get some ideas.
Dave have you ever been stop a a railroad and have you drove on 14th in Cali
What did our trucker ancestors do without google maps and satellite view. Seems like an impossible task.
What kind of mount do you use for your turn cam?
Awh almost lost side kick turn cam Dave be neglecting turn cam lol
What were the 2 straps for?
Bro I'm in Jackson TN at orientation with Milan Express I got down here Sunday night and I'm staying in the Marriott close to love's I seen some CFI trucks down here I was looking to see if I saw you what day was you in Jackson?
Also if that was the Love's at exit 87 their is good bbq across the road called exit 87 bbq cheap and amazing
