I appreciate this video! I’m have my AA degree and now I have Sociology and Business Law on Sophia, then I’m going to go to WGU, the goal is to finish Dec 2024 🙌🏽
Glad you passed! Yeah, I've heard that class is a nightmare. As I said in the video, really have to take your time on that one! At least the hardest class in the degree is out of the way now!
All this is such a new concept to me. I already have an associate in accounting from 2012, with 63 credit hours, but want my bachelor's. I wonder how fast I could do this? I just learned about this hacking thing today. It's so exciting.
Man I’m torn between doing the ACE course route or not, my states board doesn’t allow any credits to be from ACE courses at all to be eligible for the CPA exam but I’m not even sure I want to go for the CPA or not
They will never know it’s from ACE Credits in all likelihood. I was scared of the same thing and read many WGU people got their CPA in a variety of states with taking the course from a ACE Credit platform, and just sending in purely the WGU transcript. But if you want to play it super safe, only do General Education and Principles of Accounting at ACE Credit platforms and save the rest of the Accounting classes for WGU.
@@mandov3411 I just started my program at wgu this month and I decided to do it fully through wgu. I’m still unsure if I’ll pursue the cpa but I figured I’d make sure I’m able to incase I do want to in the future. It would suck to have to go back to school to make up the credits. Didn’t want to put restraints on myself you know
You’ll be good I had 2 big 4 interviews this spring along with a few regional firms and about 10 private companies and I just graduated from wgu and now I work as an accountant at mortgage insurance company don’t worry about it
How fast can I complete the classes on the spreadsheet from Study, Straighterline and Sophia? I was recently laid off, but have been thinking that I might just go get a degree at WGU, but want to really utilize my 6 months of unemployment to finding a new career path.
Can you confirm whether or not you can sit for the CPA exam (and obtain licensure) if you transfer ace credits in to WGU or another university? I cannot find solid information about this, and I live in Georgia for what it's worth.
You can get a second bachelor’s at TESU but 1) You’ll need to complete at least 30 credits at TESU, 2) No Financial Aid. If it’s your first Bachelor’s, you only need 12 credits at TESU itself and eligible for Financial Aid.
@@alexsheppe What if I don’t use financial aid for my bachelors at WGU and then after completing the degree decide on a second bachelors degree but at a state school. Will I be eligible for financial aid since I didn’t use it for my first bachelors degree?
I really appreciate of your video!! I am thinking about getting BS in Accounting and go for a CPA. But I’m worried that some employers would not respect the degree from WGU even if I become CPA. It would be great if you could share your thoughts 😊
I have a question, so do i apply to the school then do all of the Classes i can on a third party site then enroll, OR do i do all the classes on the third party site, apply, then enroll?
Depends which context I meant it in. A PA before an OA is a Practice Assessment. It’s a test you have to take before the OA in an OA class. Another PA is a Performance Assessment. This is a class with writing assignments and no tests.

Do you believe or think the hype about the accounting field dying is true or false?
I just spent 2 months on intermediate accounting 2 . I passed it on third time. Barely. It has reason to be scared. I have 5 classes left

I'm curious about that too. What route did you end up taking?

I'm really concerned because I see a lot of LinkedIn WGU graduates with "looking for work" or semi unrelated jobs

@jalilmonroe1289 Congratulations, that’s amazing!
@@jalilmonroe1289Wow!
@@jalilmonroe1289did you do wgu after high school ?
Is there a big difference between a grad with CPA and a grad without a CPA? Is there a lot of reading involved at WGU? Thank you for your video.
Thanks man I really appreciate this!

Probably 3-4 months if you hustle and skim read everything and just take the quizzes/exams. Then at least 1 term at WGU which is 6 months.
Thank you I liked and subscribed!
Great video! Good info thanks!
Business 303: Management Information Systems does not exist on pathway agreements for WGU
Thanks for letting me know. If that’s true I’ll have to update the spreadsheet if they stopped accepting it.
you recommend accounting over finance?
Can I transfer math credits from high school I took Algabra 2 plus I have collage statices credit .

Most companies really aren’t gonna care where the degree came from especially if you have your CPA.

Do the classes first and then apply.
Would you say Accounting is one of the most challenging degrees at WGU?
It is undoubtedly the hardest business degree.
@@Jason8779is it harder than computer information systems?
I'm looking into getting an accountant degree through WGU, how much did it cost to get all of your credits out of the way through those websites?
Less than 1500
What does pa mean exactly?
With the WGU Accounting Degree are you allowed to sit for the CPA exam ?
Of course
@@alexsheppe In all of the US ? And are there any other requirements ?
@lunatic4544 Every state has different requirements, check your states requirements, but I would assume WGU’s programs would cover majority of states.
If you have a master degree from wgu or elsewhere you should be able to. Most states require 150 credits to qualify to sit.

You’re pretty smart for a guy in a Raider’s hat. 😉
Unfortunately loyalty trumps intelligence sometimes. Raiders are a terrible dysfunctional organization and have been for 21 years.
