@@condealexandervonhasslerra5527 lol wut. First of all, the older brother finished third. Not second. His brother who he pushed over the line finished second. And no sport in the world awards points in which second or third earns more than first or third more than second.

@@Outpost-13-Hockey Let's see if you get it. This was the last of all the races during the year. Contenders for the title are browlee and mola, but mola has more points in the general classification bc he did better in the other races. If browlee wins mola needs to be fourth, if browlee is second mola needs to be sixth. if browlee is third mola would win the championship with the points of being 9..... do you see it now? Brother knew and that is why he pushed it, so mola would have it more difficult.

I think he was more concerned about his brother getting to finish the race and not having to have the sadness of not getting to finish the race, then whether they won anything or not. I am an emergency doctor, and until now I am a medical director in a hospital in Cozumel Mexico.
I was Jonathan Brownlee's doctor that Sunday. I received him at the hospital where I work.
He was very dehydrated when he got to the hospital, so we started IV fluids and management for heat stroke. He recovered a few minutes later. His response to treatment was impressive.
He was very nice, and it was very kind of him that he spoke some Spanish with us, even though we speak English, he took advantage of the situation to practice his Spanish.

The Spanish Federation appealed to have them DQ'd, but it was dismissed because there was no outside help and that triathletes help each other all the time by helping zip up suits, sharing drinks, etc. It was ruled that this was no different.
