i swear you are like the only person who both shows AND teaches the actual strumming rhythm. i have no problems with the chords, but the rhythm makes all the difference, and the opportunity to *grasp* the rhythm (beyond just arrows or words) is helpful beyond all... err... measure. lol

I am a 47 year old newbie to guitar playing. I was a jazz trumpet player for 25 years, and learning guitar has been both exciting and frustrating. Clearly, the trumpet (although it paid for my college degree) isn’t exactly a campfire and peaceful evening sort of instrument so I wanted something more versatile with which to make music. No surprise there. I just wanted to let you know that amidst all my hours of daily practice, this video by far was my favorite and most helpful. Thank you x 1000.
When you originally taught this you didn't add that pinky embellishment. This is one of the first I ever learned from you Marty and It took a long time just starting out. I never had a teacher in real life I learned everything I know off youtube pretty much all from you to start and later added a couple others to the list. This song feels like home on the guitar to me though. Still need to learn the complete song with solo and power chords but on my acoustic I stick to this way. Thank you Marty.

I bought this 45 record not too long after it came out because I loved the song. On the way home with my cousin Tony and his Dad I was sooo excited to get home and play it. I was twirling it on my finger and since at that time most cars had no AC (HUH?) we had the windows down. The wind whipped through and plucked it right out of my hand...my cousin Tony commented "there goes Bad Moon Rising!" Never bought it again but still love the song!
