    Excellent comparision!

    I had the Kress robots and the build and material quality is not even half the Ambrogio.
    Display is like an 80’s Casio watch and they are the same platform as the Worx landroid and are owned by the same Chinese company Positec.
    Positec bought the German brand name Kress and sells these Worx mowers with another deck fore more money over a dealer network and creates the illusion of a new German A brand.
    It’s in fact a light build, mass product with only one goal for Positec, MONEY.
    Ambrogio is by far the better robot.
    The only reason that Kress is in the market is that the dealers don’t have to pay for the stock witch makes it financially interesting because there is no investment needed.

    How did you keep your faces straight when you referenced Sam’s big knob! 😂🤣😂🤣 I spat my coffee out all over my iPad! Brilliant review

    "I can see you got quite a big knob there." "Yes, you are not the first person to point that out". Thanks for the detailed examination!

    I have an Ambrogio Twenty Elite - so very similar to the reviewed mower here. I agree with the reviewers that the components quality is of a high standard and more ‘industrial grade’ rather than the Kees/Worx build and components which are more ‘consumer’ grade. On my Ambrogio Twenty I most like - 1. the build quality. 2. the cutting blade (which I can easily sharpen and which cuts well. 3. the potential to control the mower remotely using either gsm or wifi. I dislike 1. the wheels which leave broad trails in the grass and tend to slip in wet grass. 2. the programming/app which is truly the worst app I have ever seen! The English is virtually incomprehensible and the programming of the mower tortuous and the ability to contact the mower remotely is sporadic. In conclusion I would say the mower is a solid, high quality, well engineered machine with real potential for extensive programming and remote control but badly let down and limited by an awful app.

    Wonderful video but the volume is far too low

    This is quite a biased review - nothing positive in any way about the Kress machine?! When you then go on your website and see you sell Ambrogio but not Kress - kind of defeats the whole purpose of the video when it’s not objective.

      Ambrogio is NOT a sponsor of this video. We are honest about the specs and features of both robots. Whether or not Kress is reliable only time will tell.

      I thought the same, very biased and clearly did not know the Kress at all. They hadn't a clue about the shoe or the reason the top moves as it does, the fact the battery can be changed in minutes and the statement about OAS leaving a large area around obstacles being misleading as the side trim technology takes care of that. All these within another 40 minutes of video to go.

    I own an Ambrogio Tech D1 for 2 years now and I find it an absolute rubbish machine:
    1. The app on IOS is so bad that you cannot connect to the machine at all. The only support I get is: “ Please update the app”
    2. The knives are dull quite quickly and they dare to charge EUR 45,- for a small peace of stanless steel that cannot be sharpened or serviced. Prepare for an added annual cost of EUR 135,- for a 150m2 lawn
    3. The machine tends to dig itself into the garden when it bumps into something, leaving 2 small holes of the size of a tire everywere on your lawn.
    Hope this helps anyone to make a sane discision and prevent them from throwing away EUR 1500,- on the most expensive brick in your garden.

      This is not the experience of the vast majority of Ambrogio users. 1. "you cannot connect to the machine at all" - clearly false information as you clearly CAN connect to the machine using the App. 2. "The knives dull quite quickly" - they are solid stainless steel sharpened to a high degree. They do not dull fast in normal use. They are good for several seasons in normal use and do not need sharpening. 3. "Prepare for added annual cost of EUR 135" - you do not state what this relates to and I see no need for any other annual cost. 4. "The machine tends to dig itself..." - this is not something we are seeing with our fleet or other people we know. You lawn may need remedial work if it is in very bad state. 5. "Hope this help.." - it helps show that the person leaving this review is actively trying to spread mis-truths about the machine, with most of the post having little relation to the reality of the machines actual performance.

    We run an Ambrogio, much better built/sophisticated all round. But the app is notoriously unreliable, often non-functional.

    • @snowberryrain
      @snowberryrain 6 месяцев назад +1

      Couldn't agree more. Ambrogio remote app is crappy. Very often it is not possible to connect with the robot (maybe it's the robots problem, I don't know...). In the video they say that it is possible to control your ambrogio via app from anywhere the world. But actually it isn't true. It is possible to control the robot just in the bluetooth range.

    • @skidco1
      @skidco1 6 месяцев назад

      @@snowberryrain Yes, we often need to be within 6 feet of the mower to get any connectivity.
