Name: Vampire lord or Von Carstein Bloodline lord : "Nosert von Carstein" lore Nosert is son of Mannfred which Mannfred found as a stray boy in unkown village in Kislev and adopted him and for that Nosert is loyal to mannfred and is know for his melee combat abilities also has his own Zombie Dragon named Rose
VC was the first faction I started playing when WH1 came out. Always had a soft spot for them since then. This is just Christmas for me :D:D Ah, the good ol'"drown em in bodys" tactic and then send in the tougher units...and the cav and the flyers...my my :P Keep it going! The camera work is on point to, really nice little production bonuses that keeps the battles feeling as epic as they should. Vlad is the daddy, we can all agree on that but Manfred is the total douse bag we all want on our team, we hate him, we love him! :D hahaha
Haha, I played them first too. And second, for that matter. Ah, the endless tide of shambling dead. Choke their lines with bodies, wear them down, deplete their ammunition - and then feast. 😍
2nd comment here, that battel against Volkmar was darn interesting, man. I just love your battle tactics and cinematic views. Thanks for the entertainment. Truly.
Thanks man! Back before I used to do cinematic replies, I always got distracted trying to watch the glorious action instead of controlling the battle. It was trying, at times. 😂
I'd like a vampire lord to be called "Adolphus Krieger" it'd be neat if there was a male Lahmian lord, but I doubt there is in game, so just pick one who's skillset fits, but yes, he's a male Lahmian desperately trying to find an artifact of Nagash that will allow him to rule during the day.
1:18:35 I started playing Isabella after the update dropped and noticed Vlad gives -40% upkeep for blood knights. I think maybe Von Carsteins getting that is meant to represent Drakenhof templars? Weirdly, Blood Dragons get the same trait, an extra recruitment/upkeep buff for blood knights and their unique skills buff...wights.
The Blood Dragons thing makes sense in the sense that they are martial lords, so they'd have better command of wights and knights alike. But just because Vlad was a blood knight, doesn't mean the rest of the von Carsteins had anything to do with them. Most of them were still just noble nepo babies sitting around their castles drinking the occasional peasant. But eh, I suppose it's as good an explanation as any, as long as it is comparatively inferior to Blood Dragon buffs for blood knights.
Definitely need a wight king on foot in manfred's army to act as a character dueler and troop leader, that way we still see some animation's. I'm really glad that Manfred buffs wights I've said it before but they are my favorite units of the VC, tbh kinda sad there's not a wight lord type
Warhammer vampires basically have all the weaknesses vampires have ever been shown as having, but different bloodlines and different individuals are affected to greater or lesser extents. It seems more powerful vampires have fewer weaknesses, while the low level pleb ones can be defeated by a bald guy waving a hammer pendant around like it's an Amon Amarth concert
Yeah, but it's kind of interesting that the curse of Nagash is randomized. You could get all the weaknesses or none. That and bloodlines are kinda the equivalent of vampiric genetics. There's also some loopholes - Manny is technically affected by the sun, but has a ritual way around that weakness.
I haven’t played SFO so maybe it’s different but I don’t normally bother getting any skelly bois unless it’s an emergency defence. I usually go from zombies straight to Graveguard. Really enjoyed the Volkmar battle, love the early game mosh pits with the vampire counts.
Sure, but they're like 1/3rd the cost of grave guard. Grave guard are quite expensive, and that's money that can be used to build up economy. With upgrades, skeletons are barely more expensive than zombies, and you can stack their stats pretty high. 40/40 MA/MD on skeleton warriors at low veterancy with just 3 red line points, 50/50 with vigor mortis. All for a price lower than clanrats. Funnily enough, an older strategy was to skip zombies and use skeletons.
@ fair enough as I said maybe it’s different with SFO. Oh 100%, when you could get free Skelly bois, early game strat was 3/4 stacks and auto resolving the heck out of the dwarves and empire. Far too OP though and was always getting nerfed lol
@ Yeah and literally everybody else lmao just so the setting could get rebooted into soulless corporate slop, which I assume is the reason manny did what he did lmao

I agree with the statement of zombie waagh like mechanic but i propose an even better ideaa. A tombking like in battle which counts men dying and then after certain thresholds a unit of zombies or skeletons spawns where the most enemy unit density died. so mid fight you have random zombies appear from corpses. would be so fitting
@@RuinousInsight i recon its not hard at all since we literaly have raise dead and a lot of things that increase on entity death nearby, just a trigger that if 300 enemy died in a radius it casts raise dead on that location and removes enemy enteties
Ah yes the one vampire in the fantasy universe that destroyed the world by stabbing Gelt in the back........THE ONE TIME HE COULDN'T HAVE BEEN A TOTAL A-HOLE!!! but that's just me.
Kind of interesting how Nagash tried to kill Manfred for being too traitorous, only to make him one of his mortarchs in AOS. I guess by that point Nagash got too powerful to die from getting backstabbed. (And he also has a bunch of other mortarchs for manfred to stab first)
I believe in AoS Nagash can take direct control of any undead, so at this point they're probably only annoyances at best to him. Even with both Manny and Neferata's constant scheming. Plus he directly messes with Mannfred's mind just because it amuses him.
New campaign~ good good. I don't really care about chaos demon factions (especially Khorne). So, I was looking forward to your next thing. Besides the beginnings are usually the most interesting. (To be fair I don't like vampires much either but I enjoy that you enjoy them. they're kind of mid tier for me.) (dwarves and chaos dwarves are my favorite but I know it'll be a bit before you do those again xD variety is the spice of life and all that.)
