Nice, for footage, sound as well as explanation! Interesting to see the difference with a bike lap (pace through Blanchimont but also Raidillon). Car seems to mostly allow later braking too.
Also ich klebe mir die Kamera bei meinen Videos (nicht ins Sichtfeld) in die Mitte vom Visier. Schaut doch mal rein.. Wäre doch noch'n Stück weit cooler :-)
+Labinot Hasani yes there for ventilation, and those "tubes" are roll cages. they protect the driver and add more support if the car were to turn over so the cabin wont cave in and crush the driver.
Jordi, most likely 3 seconds is not "just" Setup. A good set in any kind of Racing will find you (probably) ~1 sec. - if its a really good one. The rest comes down to driving skill, experience, knowlege of the track and other factors. I Agree that assetto corsa is a great simulation, but dont think for a second you can simply transfer your laptimes to real life.
Setups do make a big difference, at least on AC. The more a car can be set up, the further I am from the world record. In the AMG GT3 at spa my time is a 2:20.6 and that's still 102.42% or 3.3 seconds off the fastest. There is very little room for improvement, maybe a few tenths at best. In the F1 cars I am more like 102-106% off the record but with road cars I can either get the world record or be under 102%. Out of 17 laps in the Ferrari 488 for example, 14 are 102%. I remember downloading a setup for the Lotus 98t and Exos S1 ages ago which shot me from something like 105% to 100-101% of the world record.
was doing 2:24 in spa in the z4 gt3... tuned the car, adjusted the braking diff cause that last corkscrew turns i lock up everytime . now my best time is 2:18
Hey MVDSRacingTeam Why don't you put the camera above the driver's view on the visor? Like look in my videos.. it's more that the viewer get the real POV of the driver.. that would be great! Awesome Job from you guys!!
+TeamBoehnisch Because the pov would be too high then. Now it's at eye-level which gives a good representation of what the drivers can see. I like this way better than above the visor. & don't forget that they mostly drive with visors up so it wouldn't be practical if they'd put the camera there.
+tgchan you are absolutely wrong bro. those "buttons" are actually paddle shifter. the driver needs to press them in order to shift up(press right)and shift down(press left). hope I help to correct your mistakes:)
+ShinChanGaming(Shin-Chan) oh yeah I didn't realise that bro. the driver did press the button in front of the wheel. Since I don't know much of a racing steering wheel. XD
+tgchan He's signaling other drivers ahead that he's hotlapping, so they let him pass. Since it's a practice session, it's courtesy to let the drivers pushing their car's limits to go by, so they have an accurate feel for the car.
Thank you for this amazing view! Nice drive Jorg!
lol, you have the same name and picture as this one eSports driver. What a coincidence
@@lars_2109 😁
Wow!!! Amazing skills when going through Eau Rouge and in general! Gotta love that transmission sound tho.
What a sound. The car is singing with such a beautiful voice!
The sound of this car gives me the m3 gtr vibes nice!
Wow! I'm so impressed that he can go through Blanchimont flat out! Incredible downforce!
its insane how accurate the braking points are when comparing it to a game like assetto corsa
i can actually relate my braking points to real life
Awesome scenes! Please more of this from the Nürburgring
I could watch this all day, thanks very much!
I've always liked Jorg, tells it like it is on the circuits.
nice driving and it seems that the car has superb handling and braking power!
Nice sound as well!

If only we humans could drive like that !
Ultimate belief in the handling and the brakes.
A master class.
Great posting. Thank you
Great stuff!
Spa sous la pluie ....push papy et la z4, fabuleux son, merci vds
Flat through Eau Rouge and Blanchimont in a GT3 car wow!... Braking is also very efficient now on these cars.
I would be nice if Beamer would have V8 engine available in Z4 GT3 for the mass production.
TP 4UrbHol it would require a massive wing
Great driver, great car, great track!
Good luck for the race !
#pushpapy
good lord I love the fucking sound of this car
Amazing driving!
God.damn this guy is quick!
Eargasm. That thing sounds incredible. Looks like it loves cornering.
This is awesome
i miss having you in WTCC :
if only this camera technology was around during the heyday of the M3 GTR
Flatout in 6th through Blanchimont over the curbs. bravo
Also ich klebe mir die Kamera bei meinen Videos (nicht ins Sichtfeld) in die Mitte vom Visier. Schaut doch mal rein..
Wäre doch noch'n Stück weit cooler :-)
The best GT3 car of all time
True... Also Porsche 991 911 GT3 R!
''then shuts up'' .... lol
Are the holes in the side windows for Ventilation or something? Curious. And what are those tubes coming from the motor room to the cabin!
+Labinot Hasani yes there for ventilation, and those "tubes" are roll cages. they protect the driver and add more support if the car were to turn over so the cabin wont cave in and crush the driver.
MaxAmaSity No, no,... Not the Roll Cage, i mean the tubes next to his right leg! See better at 8:37
+Labinot Hasani oh that. didnt see the whole video to notice. yes also for vent
passed eau rouge full throttle?
2:21,5 per lap? Very nice one! In assetto corsa I can't race it less than 2:24,6. Need to work in the setup.

I LOVE IT!!!
Hi, what camera was used to shoot this? Love the shot!
Flatout through eau rouge in a GT3 car..
@DVN technically he was flat out in eau rouge as well :D

What is he doing on the steering wheel? Pressing some kind of buttons etc.

+Then00brac3r How can I be "absolutely wrong" asking a question...? WTF~!? And yea, obviously I wasn't asking about shifting paddles...
+tgchan He's signaling other drivers ahead that he's hotlapping, so they let him pass. Since it's a practice session, it's courtesy to let the drivers pushing their car's limits to go by, so they have an accurate feel for the car.
Ahhhhhhhhhh 💦
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh 💦 💦
This is 😭 heaven
Can you share what camera was used by Jorg?
Jason Bell GoPro Hero (propably 2 or 3)
TeamBoehnisch Thanks! Fantastic footage!
Jason Bell No problem! I use the Hero3 - so if you want you can watch my videos :-)
MVDSRacingTeam > Everyone else.
Agreed, the final chicane is awful.
