Jordan Peterson forgot the most important of male romance archetype. Successful architect.

How did they segregate the male and female searches? Plenty of people search for porn without signing into their Gmail and in incognito specifically to avoid it being saved to their history. Did they throw out that portion of the data? Incomplete study.

Not sure but this would be fairly simple to figure out using metadata. For example, online shopping habits.

@@Rich_P_Anya using other data like shopping habits would be helpful, but more than one user can make use of the computer. How do you distinguish the gender if someone goes on searching for bras and then someone else searches up porn? It just isn't reliable, and it also doesn't account for guys and ladies that search for things outside their gender norm, like a guy who likes to wear thongs or a lady who likes wearing boxers

@@Rich_P_Anya I’m wracking my brain trying to think if my online shopping is in anyway gendered and I can’t say that it is.
I don’t buy underwear on Amazon.

Tell me this is a joke. Imagine basing your theory on what "males" are and want, on pornhub searches for Mia Khalifa back when she was super popular and her content was being pushed constantly. Can you imagine the loops, jumps and conclusions you'd need to get to, to pretend to have a workable theory? The amount of confirmation bias this man has in his brain is astounding lmao.
    1. He is not considering it is just the genres that were popular back then, and that now have changed.
    2. He is looking at the women that look for written pornography and extrapolating a theory to be applied on ALL WOMEN. Of all cultures. Not to mention an incomplete study, ignoring all theother places for wich we may not have data in which women may be consuming pornography. Maybe that is why rigorous scientists did not think this was actually relevant so they rather not waste money "studying" it.
    2. He is hyper focusing on agression although one of the most famous modern romance novels featuring vampires, Twilight, has the most mellow, least intimidating male lead ever 😂😂😂.
    3. Women like aggression. Also all the doctors that he is ignoring and deciding not to focus on. Basically nerds that study for years about people's bodies. So scary lol.
    4. Alternate explanations and confirmation bias. Could it be that these were just the popular genres and that for a story, it is more interesting to have a romance with a vampire than with "Joe, the guy who works at the convenience store". Aggression as a male preffered trait, could it be that society teaches us, that "strong" men are preferrable, just in the same way that sensual women are?
    5. Ignoring all the other porn that women consume. Not only visual (yes women consume porn, just not the one that is catered towards men, for obvious reasons). But also written. Like has he ever looked into wattpad and the amount of boy*boy pornography almost exclusively being made and consumed by women?
Why do they let this man teachh I'm dyinggg 😂😂😂.

It is totally different to like something in a fictional world and like it in real life. Sure I like romance novels that have this asshole kind of guy who the protagonist woman falls for when she realizes that he isn't actually an asshole. (let's say his dad was horrible and the guy grew up seeing only bad role models.) Yeah, we females tend to like that we can "safe" a dude. Idk how true that is in real life. I would rather have a well-rounded person from the beginning and not have to play a therapist for years until I have a partner who can also take care of my wellbeing.
But there are plently of women who don't like movies like Twilight (the romance side of it), 365 days was it, 50 shades... because we can see that is not a healthy relationship from the beginning. the person is manipulative, abusive maybe even hurts the person they say they love.
Reading fiction does not mean we want that in our actual life. Sure vampires and werewolves are hot but pretty much only in a fictional world. If you read a crime novel about murder, doesn't mean you would actually want to live that. Or if you watch a show or read a book from the POV of a killer, doesn't mean you want to be the killer. You just find it interesting and possibly new which is why you like it more.

There are males who do the same thing, it's not an issue unless you want it to be. Most women are not after this "stereotype". What about all the step sister porn, that's a female issue too? Poor you.
