It always starts as an interview. But by the end you feel as if you were listened in on a private conversation between artist. As if you are a fly on the wall. I love it❤❤
I don't know if Tank and JV realize how important this podcast is...to us, to music. Every episode is not only an interview but a genuine reflection on music. So interesting, entertaining. And Estelle is a jewel...this episode was dope!
Me: Lowkey looks forward to every Saturday morning like a kid to watch R&B Money new episode drops (without distractions). #dnd #mytime Also me: I see ya'll receiving plenty awards for this pod. 💰
OMG! Estelle feeds Tank's crazy and I. LOVE. IT!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 It's time to kick that journalism degree into high gear and her and Tank need to merge on a R&B Podcast newsletter!
Love the energy from the start of this. The stories and the laughter is contagious 🤣. The way the UK embraces RnB is amazing and welcoming. But when you look at the history of RnB, they have always shown more love. Estelle is a class act. The keyboard is out, and it's a good time all around!!!!
Sadly, there wasn’t much love in the recording industry, in the uk. Estelle became usable after her first album here. They can pick talent, but don’t know what to do with them.
DAMN! I look forward to my weekly "R & B MONEY " conversations because this is far more than a podcast. 🗣the 'AUTHORITY' of 'ALL THINGS R&B'!!!!!💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Estelle is a uk legend thank you RnB money for celebrating one of our own. Thank you Tank and J for this platform you man are keeping RnB alive! Love from Luton in the Uk. Keep it up my G's!
How amazing that this podcast has not hit a year yet and there have been ZERO episodes to miss! The streak is impressive and I love what Tank and J (and the BTS teeam) are creating!! ♥
You know Tanks Praise and Worship Top 5 is hitting when J does the side to side church rock! This was another DOPE R&B Money Podcast..loved Estelle, she's a Beautiful Soul 🥰👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
She is a legend here in London . I have been lucky to interview her at the bbc. She was just like this so friendly happy and humble. I told how I had been following her from the tricksta days she was so appreciative. Tricksta was massive on the underground over here and she became well know instantly . She was fresh and had swag on that song and it was different we didn’t have many female rappers at that time singing and rapping . Plus she was authentic London energy and it was a Uk rap song so it was just powerful on the streets. I recommend you listen to it you will love it .
She brought an international perspective to the conversation. It's also very interesting to hear the individual journey to the destination, or those still in route. It's wonderful when we can get an inside scoop. I love how she shares her views from the spiritual aspect as well. God is always somewhere in the picture. She's dope.
Des’ree - You Gotta Be is my favorite song ever in life and nobody ever talks about it. I love that she mentioned it 🥹❤. That song has gotten me through sooo much.
Yes!!!! I remember Mica Paris..I still have her on a VHS video cassette with all my old favorites. I like the live version of "Should've known better" But ""My one Temptation" was played more on BET.
I would have thought at least Tank knew about Mica but it just goes to show "veteran status" can come with a ton of of knowledge yet also be underexposed to a whole lot musically, domestic or foreign. Estelle taught class today👏👏👏
@@TheRetroWoman80 Mica is The Voice - Tank would appreciate her badly. I saw her perform last year at 51st state, her voice is the same 35 years later..... She bad, she's a real singer. Tank, if you don't know get to know.
Let me first start by saying as a podcast snob I appreciate the new camera angle making the production value increase dramatically. I'm only being technical because I know who the both of y'all are and I'm a fan of both so I knew gems and jewels and game we're going to be heavily dropped, and the knowledge that was going to be passed down was going to be second to none. But the main thing I knew that this was going to be amazing without fail! Good shit fam! 💯 💯 💯
I legit hold off on watching this podcast when it drops just because I need it to get me through those dreaded Monday mornings. Shout out to yall once again for the great content.
I'd love to see Marsha Ambrosius on the podcast to know what her journey was from floetry to becoming solo etc ... I know I'm so late with this comment but I would love that 😍😍😍😍😍 lol
You guys need to holla at Akon and Burna Boy. it breaks my heart to think you guys don't know your leverage on a global scale. There are so many African countries that know your catalogue and love you. They would pay top dollar to watch you perform. Because Africa is often overlooked and ignored when it comes to touring venues, your presence would be something special. People pay top dollar for something special. I grew up listening to your music in Zimbabwe. Everyone in my class knew you guys. THAT means something. You are loved. We love you guys. Speak to guys who know the lay of the land and you will discover a still growing and supportive fan base. PS: Love Estelle!
This was EVERYTHING!!! From starting with Tanks UK/Aussie accent 🥴🥲… to the stories and the glowing energy from Estelle. Love looking forward to each guest!! RnB Money Podcast is EV’RY THING my soul needs!! ❤❤
The estelle interview was very good . As usual there were laughs , talk of hardships and pulling through. This podcast does more that pull back the curtain . This podcast shines the light on an artist and the all encompassing greatness they have .
I just love when they mention old gems that I’ve forgotten about. I immediately go listen and add to my playlist 😩❤️ Another Again was definitely one of them ones ❤
I don’t see a lot of people commenting their R&b Voltron… I would like to lol. I wanna hear others. Vocals: Jazmine Sullivan Style: HER Performance: Beyoncé Passion: Fantasia
ESTELLE IS SUPER FREAKIN D.O.P.E. ❣️❣️❣️ IVE ALWAYS LOVED HER AS AN ARTIST, HOWEVER TO SEE & LISTEN TO HER IN AN INTERVIEW SPACE, JUST DEEPENED MY APPRECIATION FOR HER.❤❤❤ GREAT INTERVIEW GUYS.💜💜💜👍🏿
Love Estelle!!! One of my favorite songs from her would be "Don't Break My Heart" with Rick Ross....she seems to be sooooo down to earth and her vibe is chill!! Once again, great podcast, Tank and J! 😉
Estelle has been apart of my life since I was a young lil boy. Not only did she help guide me but she also plays one of the strongest gem EVER! I will never not have love for her and her light
Glad to see Estelle on here. It's amazing how much she has accomplished so far in her career. Been a fan of hers since she was on Channel U with the song 1980 and Free ft Megaman from So Solid Crew.

Such a fun episode! I really need Brandy on here. That would make my life. And it would be dope if they sat down with at least one person from each of the classic 90s R&B groups. (Somebody from Jodeci, somebody from Dru Hill, 112, etc) 😩💯
I love Estelle!! Thank you guys for having her on the show. So much talent, so much knowledge and so much RESPECT!! Tank and Jay, House music and Techno music were both created by Black people. Detroit has House music producers, BUT Chicago and NY rule. Detroit is the creator and originator of Techno. Take a listen sometime. You may seem that there are elements of House and Techno that are a part of R and B and Soul music. Love y'all, and keep doing what you are doing!!
When Estelle said it's crazy when Tank and J Valentine went on about house music, I was thinking, same. It's crazy that they view it as white international music, when it's black American in origin. That's the downside of appropriation, when something becomes so removed from the source that the originator is looked at as something else. Anyway, love this show, this was a good episode.
