Nikki, this video came at a perfect stage in my life. I am a relatively new empty nester, and have found that my shopping planning skills have flown out the window! When my kids were home I did a faithful weekly shop, knew what we were having every night for dinner, stuck to a budget, never ran out of milk (ha;) etc, and now, it's kind of like the need for structure is gone or something, I don't know, but I'm taking the ball (or list;) and running with it! Thanks for the inspiration!

LOL! I shop at the commissary which is the grocery store on the military base and they still bag your groceries and take them to your car and load your car. They work for tips only. So happy you enjoyed the video. Hope your off to a fabulous weekend my friend. Nikki

Hi Nikki. First let me tell you that I love your videos!! I implemented your meal planning system in my household 3 weeks ago. I LOVE IT. It has saved me money, time and stress just like you mentioned. After I finish shopping for the week I hang the plan on the refrigerator so that the family will know what's for dinner that night or maybe even help get things started while I'm at work (that has not happened yet...but here's hoping). I like how you give out clear ideas that I can make my own and you're so transparent. I don't know if you already have done this, but I would love to see how you set up other budgets. I am currently saving up for a car, car insurance, and an emergency plan, but I'm working on paying myself first and not feeling like I have a bad habit because I'm enjoying myself.

I spend way too much time on planning breakfast & lunch also. I can just keep common items in the pantry and maybe a list of ideas to rotate for those meals. That will save so much time. I love your sweet spirit and amazing ability to simplify household tasks. You have blessed me.
You know I shop on the military base in which individuals will bag your groceries and take them to your car and load them up. They work for tips only. Typically in my area here in the US you don't tip at grocery stores anymore because you take out your own groceries to your car. Hope this helps and hope your off to a wonderful weekend :). Nikki

Hi my friend! Hope that you and your family are doing well also. So you are like me with meal planning. This system so far has been really workable for me thank goodness. You know I would suggest trying to sit down with your child and have them help you meal plan. By incorporating them in the process and have them help pick out the meals perhaps they will be more likely to enjoy and eat them. Just a thought :).
Something my mom always did, and sort of ended up doing myself when menu planning; utilize your Sunday Paper Coupons and see what's on sale. That will save money as well. Or if you don't feel like paying for the paper, you could go to a coupon site and print them out.

You are such an inspiration! I always have good intensions but for years have had a very unpredictable schedule, so I usually stop by the store on the way home from work with just a mental list. I've wanted to be fancy all the time & have menu plans, but I tend to only "plan" when I'm expecting company. Thanks for the pretty template. Perhaps having a foo-foo sheet to help inspire me will give me the kick in the seat I need to be a little more on top of things. You set a wonderful example. TFS!

Love shopping in the commissary! My dad is retired Navy. I grew up with baggers to wheel out your groceries and load your car. Not a common experience in civilian life. Lol however, I have to add that I can find better deals off base. But the experience on base is quite fun and very organized.
You know I use to be a bagger at the commissary when I was a teenager and we lived overseas..LOL. You know I should try to shop off base one week to see if I get more for my money. Thanks for mentioning that. Hope your doing great. Nikki
I'd love to see how you organize the inside of your fridge and freezer. I could sure use some help and ideas on that! In fact, I'd love to see inside all your cupboards, drawers, etc. in your kitchen! The kitchen and bathroom are my biggest challenges other than cleaning up the cat hair in my house. All my "kids" have fur. :)

This whole video was SO helpful, I'm going to try to adapt this into my shopping routine. A lot of the times we shop it's "winging it" and it's really a great way to go over-budget! Nikki girl......you are making me feel so unorganized! LOL! Every week I say "I am not going shopping without a list!" And every week I never have a list and I come home with more stuff that what I had planned to buy and I ALWAYS forget something for the meals I had planned to make so I have to go back out! Plus I spend way more money than I intended to. Don't hold me to this but I am going to try to incorporate a few of your ideas for my grocery shopping this week.
This is fantastic! I had fallen into a rut with my meal planning (family of 5!) and this has given me something to start working with again. I menu plan everything on my phone but after seeing your system I think I might I do this because it's so cute and organized or I don't know I just like to see paper and notebooks (you are super organized and have a lot going on but its so nice!!!)

Nikki, Thank you so much for your encouraging videos. I've spent the better part of my day looking for inspiration from your channel. The tip on planning dinner only will be so helpful to me. I spend way too much time on planning breakfast & lunch also. I can just keep common items in the pantry and maybe a list of ideas to rotate for those meals. That will save so much time. I love your sweet spirit and amazing ability to simplify household tasks. You have blessed me.
You know I shop on the military base in which individuals will bag your groceries and take them to your car and load them up. They work for tips only. Typically in my area here in the US you don't tip at grocery stores anymore because you take out your own groceries to your car. Hope this helps and hope your off to a wonderful weekend :). Nikki

Hi my friend! Hope that you and your family are doing well also. So you are like me with meal planning. This system so far has been really workable for me thank goodness. You know I would suggest trying to sit down with your child and have them help you meal plan. By incorporating them in the process and have them help pick out the meals perhaps they will be more likely to enjoy and eat them. Just a thought :).
Something my mom always did, and sort of ended up doing myself when menu planning; utilize your Sunday Paper Coupons and see what's on sale. That will save money as well. Or if you don't feel like paying for the paper, you could go to a coupon site and print them out.

You are such an inspiration! I always have good intensions but for years have had a very unpredictable schedule, so I usually stop by the store on the way home from work with just a mental list. I've wanted to be fancy all the time & have menu plans, but I tend to only "plan" when I'm expecting company. Thanks for the pretty template. Perhaps having a foo-foo sheet to help inspire me will give me the kick in the seat I need to be a little more on top of things. You set a wonderful example. TFS!

Love shopping in the commissary! My dad is retired Navy. I grew up with baggers to wheel out your groceries and load your car. Not a common experience in civilian life. Lol however, I have to add that I can find better deals off base. But the experience on base is quite fun and very organized.

I'd love to see how you organize the inside of your fridge and freezer. I could sure use some help and ideas on that! In fact, I'd love to see inside all your cupboards, drawers, etc. in your kitchen! The kitchen and bathroom are my biggest challenges other than cleaning up the cat hair in my house. All my "kids" have fur. :)
Hahah the Snickers Bars... "Nikki, take me home.." .... "So I had to take them home!" I could not tell you how many times I have done that. This whole video was SO helpful, I'm going to try to adapt this into my shopping routine. A lot of the times we shop it's "winging it" and it's really a great way to go over-budget! Nikki girl......you are making me feel so unorganized! LOL! Every week I say "I am not going shopping without a list!" And every week I never have a list and I come home with more stuff that what I had planned to buy and I ALWAYS forget something for the meals I had planned to make so I have to go back out! Plus I spend way more money than I intended to. Don't hold me to this but I am going to try to incorporate a few of your ideas for my grocery shopping this week.
This is fantastic! I had fallen into a rut with my meal planning (family of 5!) and this has given me something to start working with again. I love the idea of saving receipts and meal planning sheets. I actually printed the templates from your website (thank you!) and hope to use it this weekend. :)

I menu plan everything on my phone but after seeing your system I think I might I do this because it's so cute and organized or I don't know I just like to see paper and notebooks (you are super organized and have a lot going on but its so nice!!!)
Thank you Nikki for another great, helpful video! I dislike grocery shopping most of the time so this is definitely helpful! Groceries are so expensive here in San Diego, $100 sadly does not go too far but a well planned list helps keep costs down. Have a wonderful weekend!
