I’m about to start a new job as a case manager for people experiencing homelessness or living with AIDS/HIV. Thank you thank you thank you for making this video!! It’s satisfying to have a visual of something similar to what I’ll be doing. I’m glad I found someone to emulate! I hope to see more videos like these from you!!
New subscriber! Literally just got accepted for my case manager position and I’m so glad I found you cause I’m so excited but kinda nervous. Getting a visual of this work is so helpful! Thank you so much
@@tiffaniharper6340 hi! Huge congratulations. It’s gone pretty well. I’ve had my ups and downs but overall have learned so much. I’m ready to move on from this position but very thankful for the opportunity. Hope that helps. Wishing you the very best on your new endeavors!
Also can you possibly make content on how you factor in self care or self maintenance as a case manager? Cause I know w how overwhelming the job can be we tend to compromise our own mental health.
Hi! Loved the vlog & new subscriber!!! I just started on my MSW & really don’t know at this point what exactly I want to do once I graduate. What requirements do you need for a Case Manager?
Aw welcome, thank you so much! And congrats! 🎊 From what I've seen for entry level, it's usually a bachelor's. Higher level positions usually require some experience + bachelor's or a masters. But you shouldn't have any issues landing a job with an MSW! 😊
Hey Daisy! what's helped me is writing my case notes during or immediately after the interaction. Sometimes that's not always possible but generally speaking, I like to complete the case note promptly because otherwise, I may forget exactly what happened. I don't use a specific format now. I write the case note with enough details so that if someone who wasn't apart of the interaction reads it, they'd understand who was involved and exactly what happened. I hope this helps!
@@astoldbychrisssy and this is most definitely best practice!!!! I love your response to this. I write my notes thoroughly enough so I never get asked any additional questions and it never fails, unless folks didn’t bother reading the note to begin with 😂😂
