As good as most of the Replica line-up is, they will never eclipse or recapture the pure magic that was their 2010 limited edition. "Fart On The Escalator: Dublin 1984" was such a keen and arresting combination of animalic and green notes that I found it breath-taking.
😂😂
😭😭😭
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I enjoy the Hijacked, New York 2001 fragrance
@@AnimeRage8 Peanut accord, vodka, ozonic, metallic, with a strong burning gasoline smell. It's a very modern take on Fahrenheit.
This guy is the goat fr, he got me into fragrances

Whispers in the library is probably my favourite from the line. It doesn't wow you at first but with enough time you appreciate how good of vanilla/Woody fragrance it is, not cloying sweet! Good performance of my skin as well.
i really want to get that one it caught my eye with the name
My favourite from the house as well
This video is the perfect example of what fragrance collectors need: informative, succinct, and well-built. Thanks
Whispers in the Library ❤
I saw this at Nordstrom, sprayed the tester on a strip and then IMMEDIATELY on skin. It was a pleasant surprise, instant love. I asked to purchase it and they told me that they didn't have any in stock, and that it was either discontinued or Nordstrom was choosing not to carry it anymore 😢
I think the SA could see the disappointed sad look on my face and took pity on me, I should also add that I was picking up a 125ml of Herod and a 50 of TdH Eau Intense Vetiver and sampled a million different scents 😊, she asked me to wait for a moment. She returned with her manager, she greeted me very kindly and told me that since they are no longer selling Whispers in the Library that they should not have had the tester on display and apologized for the mistake. Then, to my surprise, she gave me the tester. About 85%-90% full tester of Whispers in the Library 😮. I couldn't believe that she did that, what a great trip to Nordstrom that turned into. They gained a customer for life 😊
I got whispers in the library for Christmas and I absolutely love it, I definitely agree that it's kind of haunting. I couldn't stop smelling my wrist after I sprayed it on. It's just sad that it's so expensive
Nordstrom has the best customer service ever! Right up there next to Costco!
For men or women?
Loved this type of video, would love more videos going over every fragrance from a brand!
Agreed. Love this.
When the rain stops is amazing! Absolutely love it
I've been obsessed with Lazy Sunday Morning ever since I was a kid, and finally I was able to buy it and make it my signature scent. It's definitely not for everyone, the scent is indeed clean and has a nostalgic feel. To me it smells like a bouquet of black roses in a crystal box, placed in a room with white walls. It's elegant and refined, while at the same time unapproachable, but not in a negative way. Just like a rose it's mysterious and alluring, but at the same time it has thorns. It's quite difficult to describe, but I really recommend smelling it if you ever have the chance.
how can you smell the color of the walls😭

Great video. I have seen this line on display so many times and have never committed to trying it so thank you for doing the work for us Omar!
I personally loved springtime in a park! It’s so floral and fresh, sweet but not too sweet. I always get lots of compliments when I wear it!
Jazz Club, period.
The masterpiece of the Replica collection.
I got this for my 20th, such an amazing scent.
more of a by the fire place person but jazz club 10/10
Jazz club is by far my absolute favorite fragrance ive ever bought or tried. No contest
Thanks. Saved me hours of searching.
@@TheAdaoo7how many did you buy?
i absolutely love coffee break lol i've yet to buy it but i'm glad to see you've given it a seal of approval
I could never put words around exactly what I didn’t like about the Replica fragrances but you’ve hit the nail on the head- they are ‘synthetic’ smelling.
I have pretty much them all… they should be tried on skin in my opinion - some of the more synthetic ones are great on your skin but really synthetic in the bottle
What does synthetic mean in the fragrance world? I haven't been able to build my nose up to further appreciate them yet.
@@rocko430 some houses use notes that smell closer to the note it is trying to convey. Florals as an easy example. Some will be as if you are actually smelling that flower. Some will smell cheap and as if it was definitely created in a lab type of thing and is only part way toward it. You can apply the same principle to any note: leather, tobacco, vanilla, oud, rose etc
Hope that makes sense
a dead giveaway for scents that smell “synthetic” is when your nose is hit with a pungent rubbing alcohol smell.
@@rocko430 Honestly for me: when you smell a perfume and it reminds you of a toilet spray or cleaning solution.
Love the RUclips vids and tiktoks omar❤️ content is on point and i love the black and white “SOS” intro. So simple yet elegant. Keep it up❤️❤️
I blind bought autumn vibes and bought by the fireplace based off a few RUclipsrs I watched liking it and wanting a sweet but not cloying scent. Def love both. Autumn vibes surprised me, super piney and fresh not my usual scent but love it
I just found your channel and love how you describing each one of them. It's an unfortunate tho they discontinue music festival, it's one of my big faves from theirs 💖
Thank you so much for this video. You are very straight to the point and you give wonderful comments about the perfumes!
sailing day
springtime in the park
under the lemon tree
& beach day are gems. lazy sunday morning is v nice too
Thanks for an entertaining video. I have tried most fragrances by Maison Margiela. I experience them as fantasies. Just like their name. For me, they are more than designer fragrances. I really like a lot of them. I´ve Under the Lemon Tree in my collection and have used it quite a few times. I have grown up with it, and now I do think it is a fantastic and a different scent from many other Summer scents. With 2 sprays on me, it smells easily 7-8 hours on me. 9 out of 10 stars. Thank you.
i went to the store few weeks ago and i can't help it to smell it all! not gonna lie i love them all so unique, beautiful, not cheap-like fragrance and soft great for every day wear for sure✨🥰 i ended up getting matcha meditation!
the one i have in my collection is by the fireplace, and i always look forward to wearing whenever sweater weather comes around. this one a sweater, on a scarf its just so cozy, and attractive, the initial blast of smokiness really mellows out quite fast and turns into a very pleasant blend of sweet, deep a little smoky scent. i think by the fireplace and jazz club are definitely two of their gems, where jazz club is just too boozy for my personal tastes but both are amazing. i dont like very light flowery scents or laundry ones so i dont care for a lot of the other ones in this line, but i heard 'after the rain' is nice and is one i have yet to try. matcha meditation is also worth a mention as i love matcha n sweet but i just havent bought it yet, it fades a bit too fast for it to be an easy buy for me, despite the scent itself being nice.
My boyfriend and I use autumn vibes and we love it! I had purchased myself a bottle and something else for him, but when he smelled the Margiela, he had to go pick himself up one a couple of days later!
It’s my favorite too!!
Beach Walk is my go-to in the summer. It’s currently winter in Canada and sometimes I spray and smell the bottle of beach walk to remember the summer memories: tennis, climbing up the mountain, relaxing by the beach…
The best.
I feel that sometimes when people criticize the performance they don’t realize that these are EDT formulations. They’re not going to last 8 hours bc that’s not really what they’re made to do. I def wish they’d make them EDP’s but I also feel that with Maison Margiela being a fashion designer, these are more artistic and “novelty” sort of perfumes rather than something entirely practical.
Good point!
I would LOVE an EDP of Bubble Bath
i feel like the criticism comes from the fact that they are EDT and still priced like that. For me if you want people to pay luxury prices then you need to give luxury performance and these are just not it and most of the scents, except for a few, are nothing special and not worth the price
@@sammysoppy3361 that’s true. So many brands out there do this. Like MFK with their “aqua” lineup (and apparently the new 724), Byredo, Tom Ford (just to name a few). Of course not all of the perfumes in said brands have horrible performance, but there are quite a few where the performance just does not justify the price.
@@narwhallllll8475 Isn't Tom Ford EDP though? Or is it bc its EDP but doesn't last long? Either way, ridiculously priced! In my country, it's literally more than a thousands bucks for even a 30 ml bottle.........
When the rain stops is awesome! Not getting the hype it deserves! Love it!
Very Helpful review!!! I been wanting to try the REPLICA line and never smelled any of them, but this review helps~Thanks!
Loved this video, I was on the fence about Fireplace, now I'm going to pick it up.
I very much appreciate your "house-wide" review. I've been enthusiastic about Maison Margiela as I like very much most of the few I've smelled and I feel they give me an advantage because their names are quite on the nose, so to speak. Thank you for the guidance you have provided for my curiosity.
Matcha meditation is my favourite perfume, its sweet but not in a sickly way and smells sophisticated and feminine. I also have under the lemon trees, it is a nice scent but does not last over an hour or so.
Such a fire video, please keep doing reviews on sample kits like this!!
coffee break and autumn vibes are my favorites from this house
When you look into john gallianos design ethos at margelia, it focuses on the "memory" of clothes and explores that through a lot of deconstruction and i think the fact that the fragrance line heavily reflects that is really cool and something you dont see in a lot of fragrances by designers
I would totaly agree on this, some clothes from Margiela can look really cool but are really hard to wear with style. It is the same with the fragrance, if you can pull them off, they are right for you.
Thank you so much for this video! I also originally thought that it’s a niche brand primarily because their fragrances are in the same bottle design
I find Autumn Vibes smells very similar to Santal 33 from Le Labo. It’s sharper on the opening and doesn’t settle as nicely.
Definitely does help narrow down which ones to buy as a big and small bottle absolutely 💯
The Replica line was the only higher end fragrance line I could get my gf into. She’s not into most women’s perfumes so the unisex nature of the line was appealing. Her signatures are Under the Lemon Tree and Coffee Break and man do they radiate off her skin. She just got Beach Walk and that one is becoming a great summer scent for her already. I know the brand isn’t for everyone but I have a soft spot for it because she loves it and it’s our only connection to the world of fragrances.
Also this series is amazing Omar keep doing these!
Exactly we need more of this. I’m so tired of the generic crap.
The best video intro I’ve seen in a fragrance review hands down🤣🤣🤣
Very succinct and to the point and informative. Subscribed immediately, thank you!
Jazz club has been my go to since forever and never disappoints. Even got the jazz club refill that’s new. Always get compliments from everyone who comes near me or even just passes by. Yes they’re expensive but amazing.
music festival is such an interesting fragrance. When you look at reviews or ask friends etc. it seems like people perceive it COMPLETELY differently. On my skin I don't get ANY cannabis note at all and I know the smell of cannabis very well. It's a chocolately, sweet but also smoky patchoulli scent to me. Very creative and nice imo. Reading reviews on this frag is very funny to me. So many completely different takes and experiences.
Great video and I enjoyed it and I like by the fireplace and I'm going to try the other fragrances and have a blessed day
I've been waiting for this video for such a long time thanks v much for uploading
By the fireplace, jazz club, and autumn vibes are my favorite from the line. I absolutely love autumn vibes.
The bubble bath is my favourite. I love fresh fragrance
I love the way he describes fragrances!
Coffee break is my daily scent in Autumn, I honestly was so existed last Monday when it finally started raining after that wretched hot & dry summer here in Belgium and I could spray it on for the first time. Almost a ritualistic experience lol
I lived in Belgium for 3 years and it’s the only place where I am horrified when the rain starts, because it does not stop until like April. Autumn and Winter in Belgium felt like a two season long cold shower.
@@roxanac.4977 haha yep it can feel like that sometimes!
I do the same thing! It's smells really cozy and warm to me, just perfect for autumn. I keep smelling my wrists during the day lol.
I do the same thing! It's smells really cozy and warm to me, just perfect for autumn. I keep smelling my wrists during the day lol.
Ordered a sample of " By the fireplace" and own a bottle of "Jazz Club". The latter is amazing. If they could do an intense version or EDP, I'll definitely buy it. Amazing stuff
Sailing Day is by far one of the best aquatics going around. Amazing scent I cannot get enough of, so alluring. There is not many so called aquatics that remind me of the ocean, but this one definately does, and does it well.
Excellent! I’ll check it out.
I really like their 'trapped in burning building' scent, really gets me going.
My top three from MM Replica are:
- Coffee break, even though I usually can’t stand lavender I absolutely adore it in combination with coffe
- By the fireplace, especially in winter with a cozy sweater on (I notice people around don’t usually like it tho)
- Matcha meditation, it’s good all year round honestly
I was with a friend trying some of these at sephora and she loved by the fireplace. I sourced her a partial for $75 and she bought it immediately.
How strong is the coffee in coffee break? Have you ever smelled halloween man x?
@@AlexSchwartzATV coffee break lover here: on me it smells like a very good lavender latte - primarily coffee with a very nice undertone of flowery freshness. All in all, “warm”, it has a distinct smell but recognises as mild when you are wearing it. All in all, it’s literally “sweater weather” aesthetic bottled up
I've started applying By the Fireplace more often these days as the weather is getting colder
I loved the scent on me. I'm surprised others don't like it. It's not a conventional fragrance but it's so sweet. Has gingerbread vibes
Whenever I wear by the fireplace at least one person asks me what perfume I’m wearing because they love the smell. It also became one of my favorite perfumes. I only like by the fireplace, all the other ones smell preety bad in my opinion
@@Safi-kg5sz do you like jazz club?
Totally agree with Jazz Club. It’s amazing, tons of compliments on it. Agree again with the drawback, doesn’t last long at all. For me, maybe 2-3 hours max. Good date night frag for sure.
I got some samples and I was really excited about trying out By the fireplace (and i really liked it) but I ended up using Matcha Meditation way more often than any other sample, I do usually drink Matcha tea so i might be a little biased but love how realistic it smells and the white chocolate note in the dry down. Sad that you didn't liked it that much though
It’s not about realistic, just nostalgic and relaxing more
Whispers in the Library is the best, my all time favourites. I have almost all full-bottle fragrances and i should say - go for Whispers!
scents I want to try after watching this video:
Music Festival
Matcha Meditation
Autumn Vibes
Lazy sunday morning
I've smelt by the fireplace and its a bit too sweet for my liking and I already own Jazz club because thats what everyone talks about when they mention the replica line.
Sharing memories and emotions through scents it a amazing idea
I have autumn vibes form MM - this is one of the best fragrances I have ever tasted. This is the smell of the park in the fall, after the rain
Do you always taste your fragrances?
I use it in my casseroles and stews.
I love bubble bath. I think it smells really “screechy” when applied but when dry I think it’s so perfect. I’ve gotten compliments when wearing it too, more so than other fragrances I’ve worn.
I agree that by the fireplace does smell like stronger with you. Now jazz club I find is amazing
when the rain stops is AMAZING
Woi woiiii. Broooo. Love the intro and reference to AT. GOAT! Big up from the Caribbean.
Martin Margiela (born 1957 in Belgium) is widely regarded as one of the most influential fashion designers ever. His core work focused on artisanal deconstruction, although nowadays his brand does mostly creatively simple, high quality clothing suitable for everyday wear, remaining avant-garde yet understated.
I liked the idea of this video, but I wish you would speak more about the notes you smell in addition to your overall impressions. How the fragrance changes over time from the top notes to the base notes would also be more helpful than just telling us about longevity.
Great time for this video since i’ve been considering getting into the replica line
I adore Jazz Club. Don't have it but It's hands down on the to buy list. It's 100% my favorite. I've head at the barbers is the best barber shop fragrance but i don't like barber shop smells. Jazz Club was literally the first fragrance i settled on getting when i decided to get back intro fragrances. I only haven't gotten it because it's summer, i'm not going out at the moment, slim chance it gets discontinued so i've got plenty of time to buy it, plus other things that could get discontinued went on sale so i got those first. And also, if i find something i want that's commonly out of stock in stock i'm grabbing it on sale before Jazz club simply because i know there's time.
I don't get the hype. I smelled it twice and thought it's really good but not like WOW
Yeah jazz club is good
@@Jabree you're a surface smeller, a casual. Which isn't bad. Jazz club takes time to develop. Tell me what it smells like after 1 or 2 hours on your skin. Which is how others will recieve it.
@@kdworak4754 LOL. I sprayed it on my skin both times I smelled it. Not everyone enjoys the same scents bud
@@Jabree oh God be more boring, I dare ya. LOL
I always had a sweet spot for REPLICA. By the Fireplace is my favorite!
They have now replica on a date and I bought 2 bottles because it is just stunning mix between rose and grapes . It is beautiful
I’ve had a bottle of ‘by the fireside’ since 2020 I rarely wear it, but it’s the most amazing room scent.
I have & recommend At the Barbers and By the Fireplace. Under the Lemon Trees and Jazz Club are excellent as well.
Jazz Club is phenomenal. One of my signatures
coffe break is a perfect fragrance for November, a cool crispy early evening, sitting in a coffee shop surrounded by biscotti and frothy cream
Nice review!!
I bought the sample pack as well. I love most of those.
I defiantly will be picking up a couple of these bottles.
Awesome video. You saved me some money like always
Great video...i own Jazz Club, and i get beastly performance with only 3-4 sprays...!
I love Whispers in the Library. My first Replica full bottle.
I have the Jazz Club and it kinda unique. Very interesting to the Lazy Sunday Morning.
Spring time , under the lemon tree and lazy Sunday 👍🏻 👌🏻
The only one I tried which I got a decant of was jazz club and it’s easily one of my favorite scent profiles especially date night, in cooler weather. Great opening and dry down. Wish it lasted longer but when it does last you will enjoy every minute. My brother even gave me a compliment and he’s very hard to please when it comes to colognes.
Music Festival is my absolute favorite!
i really like matcha meditation because in my crazy little head its the perfect gourmand, sweet-but-not-cloying unisex fragrance. just wish it lasted longer and threw further
Recensione top, mi sono iscritto! Complimenti per l’impegno
You are so good at describing fragrances. Great video! Time to move on from my Sauvage. 😅
I’m a long time fan of Margiela (the clothing line) and have now gone through 2 bottles of By the Fireplace. I’ve tried a few of the others (Lazy Sunday Morning, At the Barbers and Jazz Club) but none were quite as good as Fireplace. Recommend entirely! Great video
you think its good for a 15 year old? or does it smell like old people?
@@funnycomplications4582 it does not smell like old people, however I’m not sure if a 15 year old would enjoy it either. It’s definitely worth getting your nose on it. I love it, but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.
I really like the Jazz club perfume. I plan to buy it 😋❤️🔥
at the start of summer I went out to get a fresh/citrus summer scent with TF costa azzura parfum top of my list to try... the lady in the shop tried to push me on to sailing day and under the lemon trees... I loved sailing day, but didn't get enough punch from it... and as you said under the lemon trees opening is fantastic... but it literally died on me in the shop an then began smelling a bit like pledge to me that's when I got a rare waft of it...
This was very helpful!
I've tried By the Fireplace a couple of times. I found it just didn't do much on my skin, very wispy then gone. Closeish for very cheap is Lattafa Raghba Wood Intense which is smokier but performs pretty well. Mancera's Aoud Cafe, definitely gives me similar vibes, but has a lot more liquorice and coffee, performs the best of the three by far though.
Ive got a full bottle of fireplace and honestly on my skin it is so smoky and very strong. It is a very linear scent though, like its just burning wood for a good hour and then dries down to warm vanilla. It’s very hard to wear anywhere because its such an exclusively cold weather fragrance I probably use it more as a mood setting room spray than an actual fragrance
Best from the brand is by the fireplace i just fell in love at first spray
I like this type of video you are doing. I also think you do it very well, very honest and mentioning the hypes, but not necessary following them. Also mentioning in your Mancera video that in general they are very synthetic. I thought: "finally someone is mentioning this", after all the Mancera hype. Don't get me wrong, they are very good for the type of fragrance they are, but I remember like a reviewer saying like Mancera Sicily being just as good as Xerjoff Nio. Of course, we can't discuss someones personal taste, but quality wise: "Hell no!". :D
I bought Sailing Day because it had the same name as one of my favorite Bump of Chicken songs
Now it's my signature scent 😅
I got a full bottle of Under The Lemon Trees for my daughter, she said a she feels like she is drinking lemonade under a tree, my favorite is Jazz Club.
I didn’t know Jazz Club was that popular but it makes sense now because it’s always sold out
im currently owning 6 fragrances and they are all my favorite. :) Lazy Sunday Morning, Jazz Club, By the Fireplace, When the Rain Stops, Beach Walk and my latest is Matcha Meditation.
Late to the game, but which would you say is more masculine between when the rain stops and lazy Sunday morning?
Coffee Break is amazing. I think it leans a bit more on the feminine side, though. Great projection, btw!
I love my By the Fireplace. It's perfect for winter days. I also love my Jazz Club. Smokey and dark perfumes are my favorite. And my girlfriend loves it, too :)
Both of them I bought for a cheap price ~70€
Great timing i was just watching to buy Some replica’s. Keep jou the Good work!
Love autumn vibe and on a date there my faves and by the fireside
