- Join me as I show everyday life in Reykjavík, Iceland. On this particular day, I was running errands with my mom, who is visiting from the United States.

I admit my first shock in moving here was the tiny refrigerators! Compared to those in the US! I was so used to shopping for about a week at a time, and here it is about every three days at the Kronan and once a week at the Costco!! I will say that the quality of the food here is outstanding compared to the US! You really do have to buy your bread every few days as the lack of preservatives makes it so much more tasty, and shorter home shelf life!
So true. I do try to stuff as much as I can in the fridge though 😂

Happy new year, Jewells! You're probably the first Icelander youtuber to bring up dry skin during the winter!
Coming from milder, neighbouring Ireland, where the weather can be rough too (not as rough as Iceland admittedly), we thought we were prepared for the dry skin during the colder months in Iceland.
We learned the hard way during our first trip so we came prepared the next time round.
OMG! I ate at that food hall when I visited in Nov. ‘21. It was a very short walk from our hotel (Hotel Klettur) and the food was yummy!

That Hlemmur mathöll is the bomb! Especially Skal, where I ate two excellent meals in August. It’s a little noisy in there and can get crowded but the food is super!

I'm asking cause I know one country that don't allow you to bring more than one kid to live there! We plan on moving out there once I find me a work from home job. Imm still developing my green thumb 😜. I have two plants and they are doing ok. I had to move one recently and she was outside in the cold for only a little bit of time and that has not fared well for her. I’m trying to nurse her back to health.
