Well, the french, the english and all the other europeans use Roman/Greek architecture and tweek it to make it look unique but if you study classical architecture you'll see it everywhere!

I did an UberEats dropoff at this place.
When you first approach the mansion from a quarter mile away, the size takes your breath away. I've been through much of Great Falls and McLean, and this is among the most impressive properties I've seen.

it is absolute perfection. I love how they Incorporated the lady in gold. It is one of my favorite all-time homes especially since it is not a mega mansion
Nothing can beat Neoclassicism and his style, charme and passion. It’s an architecture that has a story to tell, and it stimulate your senses. As an Italian I grew up sorrounded by neoclassical influence all my life, and I’m so proud it happened. Italian and French are my favorites, no one provides house experiences like we do.. 🇮🇹🇫🇷
I’ve come to the realization of how poor I actually am in comparison to the person or persons that could consider purchasing this wonderful example of French architecture. I don’t feel poor, I have no bills, my home is paid off and I have everything I need. It’s the grandeur of these homes that separates the haves a little and the haves a lot.
The lucky owner of this property is obviously in the latter and I’m happy for them ( honestly)
This type of architectural artwork keeps alive crafts that are going the way of the dinosaurs. I couldn’t stand that if it were to happen. Lots of builders make attempts at luxury houses and offer their homes as if they were a fine Swiss watch when in reality the only similarity is that they both keep out the rain. This example of true estate living is in a class by itself. As a retired architect I am thrilled to see the Real McCoy when given the chance. This home is truly warm and well drawn. I just love it.

I agree with your sentiments. The architect used the space well and appointed the appropriate fixtures and elegance in a way that flowed very well with the home. It was truly a delight to view.
Not all, but many of these are owned by Middle Eastern oil money.
What's amazing is that even a small segment of the architectural design is awe inspiring without the monstrous square footage. Every human being should have a house like this.
To this I say Bravo...wondering when we'll get those clients in need of such a design masterpiece.

It's a palace on two acres. What a farce. The pool is stupid. It's tacky to the max.
This sort of thing would never have been built during the period that the home is appropriating its ornamentation from.
The proportion and shape is that of a mcmansion. If you want to use period elements USE PERIOD DESIGN.
I felt it was not gaudy as some others replying, but pleasantly opulent. They used the spaces very well and with the right flow to the home. There wasn't anything out of place or that didn't fit well. No excessively large rooms or wasted space. It was stylish, elegant and glamorous. I'd live here in a second and love every minute.
JUST DRIVING DOWN THAT ROAD PASSING THE MANSIONS ON BOTH SIDE OF THE STREET JUST BREATH TAKING THE AREA IS AWESOME I COULD LIVE HERE NICE AND QUITE.

Exquisite. Master class design and finishes. The flow of the rooms with one another are evidence of it's advanced design. Each room has its own character. Yes, it impresses but you could be content living there. It hooked me right off.

Thank you whoever buys this mansion for patronizing beautiful architecture. McMansions are not eye Candy. glass, concrete, and steel mega mansions taking up prime locations that I can’t of hurt my eyes from. If all the mansions dotting, the coast line looks like this, the boat ride itself would be an experience. (barfing at the modern mansions on Port St. Lucie.)
Right from the start of the video I found the decor very tasty, overloaded and flashy, the kind of house for tasteless upstarts, and then I found out it was in America, so it's American style inspired by France.

I am assuming it's an Indian that lives there because I dropped off a bunch of Indian food for an UberEats order. I got up to the gate and had to put it in the box. There was a security camera right there also.
How much? I know there's another house in the same neighborhood about $7 million, 17,000 square feet. I assume this house is about the same.

@@keyowilson5695 : That was kind of you to admit to the address, but if I was even fortunate enough to be allowed past the guarded gates to the area, I would ask the owners if I could pay them to let me tour the place......actually, that could be quite a $$ maker, wouldn’t you think? But I am assuming the owners would be private enough, and smart enough, never to let anyone into their abode.
It is truly beautiful but I'll never understand how do much can be spent on construction and decor but they won't spring for draperies for the windows.
