Couldn't agree more. As a Tacoma finatic, the new Canyon was the first to make me look elsewhere. Finally ended up buying a 2023 Canyon Denali and have no regrets. Great truck!
Gm knocked it out of the park with the colorado/canyon in 2023
Been in my AT4(white like this one) for almost a month now. The truck looks and feels so premium. I catch a lot of Tacoma drivers staring lol.
Such a beautiful truck. congratulations on it!
I’m one of those starring at these at4 😂 I own a Tacoma 3rd gen , but I do recognize these trucks looks a lot better , and much better priced than the new t 4th gen tacos!!
@Ramonperez590 such a great truck. Gm knocked it out of the park
They look nice but bet that resale won't stay like a tacos or that you wont get 300,000 like a taco
@@StealthTRDTime will tell. We got 375k out of our ‘15 Canyon on original drivetrain, our ‘19 is at 325k original. Yes, these are a new design so there’s something of an unknown. We have four trucks now with the 2.7L turbo and we run a lot of miles, so I’ll report any issues for sure.
Unlike a taco that looks the closest to $48,000 interior.
Sure is a beautiful truck. Love the canyon.
Although I am currently shopping for a 2024 Tacoma, I have to admit that is one is amazing looking/equipped truck (regardless of the money). That thing is simply beautiful.
Agree. Love the canyon. and the canyon price.
@@Jason-Samko what colours do these Canyons come in? i have only seen a Black one up close, a Denali trim??
The 2024 Tacoma TRD Offroad is the closest compared to the AT4 fully loaded with everything, and Tacoma has less then half of the features and has no we're near as nice of an interior for close to 7k more. Also, the Tacomas new engine isn't tried and true since it was only used in the CRV. The AT4 was/is used in the Serria, which weighs more than the Canyon. I got my AT4 after driving the AT4, ZR2, and an Offroad Tacoma. Got the AT4 with every option available for 47k out the door after taxes, title, and everything.
I have a 2018 Tacoma, too, so I'm not hating on Toyota, but the AT4 is wholeheartedly the best bang for your buck, and best in its class. Oh, and if you do plan to tow anything a bit, the AT4 can safety tow double what the Tacoma is rated for.
I waited 8 months for my special order Dynamic Blue AT4 to replace my '17 Z71...and took delivery on March 30th...WELL worth the wait.
Congratulations on such a fine truck
I also like the 2024 GMC 1500 AT4X 3.0L inline V6 Diesel. Even though full size… I’d go for that but $$$
Hearing many great things about he 1500 at4x
The X31 is the gmc name for the Z71 package
Thank you. I dont mess with the full size market much. so im a little out of touch with some of the details.
I bought a 23 Jeep Gladiator Willys but if I could've found a GMC Canyon AT4 at the time I may have ended up in one...
I've learned that it takes commitment to daily drive a Jeep. Built like a tank and very capable. No serious regrets. But everytime I see a Canyon a bit of lust comes over me lol.
Love both of those trucks!
275/60/20 tire is a 33. They are very good looking trucks. Really sharp.
Thanks. Sure is a beautiful truck. Thanks for looking up the tire spec.
Beautiful truck for sure. I agree, the Chevy Trail Boss is the best value.
Yep gm knocked it out of the park with this
Absolutely love this truck 😊
Agree 100
Ordered my canyon Denali white just like this one . Date was April 24 still waiting . Ugh can’t wait
Yoy are gonna love it
I really like the GMC Canyon but felt it was a bit small and the GMC SIERRA was WAY too big. We were told it only came with a 6 1/2 foot bed. Ended up getting the 2024 Tundra. After this weeks recall notice from Toyota I’m regretting getting the Tundra. Maybe they resolved the bearing issue before mine was built. 🤞
The tundra engine issue is only in .04% of them so far. Odds are you are all good. And hopefully if yours ever has an issue toyota will have it all sorted by then. Congratulations on your new truck. The tundras sure are gorgeous trucks
They nailed it with this muscular design. The new Tacoma looks wise, doesn't come close. I wish it was available with a manual transmission.
Agree a manual would be so amazing in a caynon or colorado. A manual zr2 and id probably be the first to order it.
Almost 50 grand!!! You're not talking about the reliability
they NEED to make this in a 2-door single cab, that would be exceptional 8^} plus a manual transmission for those that can row-the-gears
That would be a sweet truck
@@Jason-Samko the only single cabs i see that are 'newish' are domestic FullSize pickups... don't know why?? the Toyota Gen2 single cab is a nice get around town pickup that ceased production with the Gen3 Tacoma Joker
@@efil4kizum agree it sucks they are cutting out the trims that didn't sell well.
@@Jason-Samko well I thought they sell or sold Well Enough!
Nice truck but I'll take the V6
what is difference between AT4 and Denali ?
2 different trim levels for different purposes. The at4 is lifted 2 inches with all terrains and a cheaper interior with less features. The detail has street tires fancier wheels no lift and more interior upgrades
@@Jason-Samko thanks for the education!
@@efil4kizum Happy I could help
All Canyon trims come with the same 2” lift from the factory. Denali is the more “luxury” trim. To me, it also means more chrome. 😅
@ducvanbui36 thanks. I thought the Denali was same height at z71. Appreciate the heads up on it. Thank you.
I think the Canyon looks rather small next to the full size truck plus the Canyon has a turbo 4 banger...no thanks
Nothing wrong with liking the full size more
I don’t know about the long-term reliability compared to the previous gen Tacoma NOT the ugly 4th gen Tacoma, this GMC canyon truck is sooooo much more masculine and gorgeous compared to the rhinoceros style, Homer Simpson boxy design of the 4th gen Tacoma.
In 2024 I think the canyon is sexiest truck made. Love the looks
@@Jason-Samko Can’t argue that. For me, no brainer; the canyon over the piece of junk 2024 Tacoma.
Very good looking truck, but I bet the quality and reliability sucks
Have you been inside a new Tacoma? I’m a huge Toyota fan boy, but they missed their mark, it feels so cheap.
Agree the tacoma feels cheap. But honestly myself personally as someone that lives in the swamps and mud all the time. I dont mind hard plastic and simple interiors. Easy to clean. But the price toyota wants for them is not in line with the quality.
@@Jason-Samko they could have put a small block chevy then it would be worth something ! 4 cylinder is laughable with no longevity at all !
@AlexKosanovich 4 turbos are reality now. No way around it. Frontier will be too soon and the gladiator will hopefully be i6 turbo. Days of v8s are gone thanks to gov. And I don't think anything about this truck is laughable
@@Jason-Samko This is exactly why I own a 2024 Tacoma. I bring a lot of dirt and abuse to the inside of a cab. I also think "quality" is interpreted differently by different people. It doesn't feel cheap to me at all, because a lot of the materials are extremely similar to my 2015 Tundra (not sure why everyone is acting like Toyota is doing something different than they always have). And it doesn't feel cheap because I know how well that "cheap" "hard" plastic holds up. My Tundra has been abused, and still looks great inside. My dad however owned a loaded Silverado of the exact same age and the rate at which is started to feel old was much faster than my Tundra. These plush interiors do not hold up under abuse.
I will say, one reason my Taco doesn't feel cheap is because I opted for the white color accent on the interior. I test drove several, and for whatever reason, a TRD with the color accents inside makes a huge difference on the interior quality perception.
Get a used truck and put it to work.
