I was a carpenter for a number of years, and you done a better job than I did on my reloading bench, well done with notching around those cabinets, I am stealing your idea for the die shelf, exceptional craftsmanship!
Dude, bought the sama pistol three days ago for 200 bucks. Put 200 rounds through it, worked perfect. Love that metal cabinet now im on the lookout for something similar
Man you put a lot of thought into building your bench and you did a great job, Don’t underestimate yourself. I Especially like your die storage. The only thing that concerns me is how someone snuck in there and hung that Diamondbacks sign. LOL. Great work.
I’ve only had issues the small pistol magnum primers. I’ve had probably 5 out of about 2k that had to be struck twice with the firing pin to ignite. Rifle primers I’ve had zero issues with. I also use cci and federal primers. So far with the cci and federal primers I haven’t had any issues.
Ammo boxes are made out of thin wall metal. Something like a safe uses thick metal. If there should be something that ignites the gun powder in the ammo, a ammo box will split open with a lot less pressure because of the thin metal versus something made with thick metal like a safe. Basically a safe would turn into a bomb because of the pressure buildup from the heat.
You can, it just needs to be vented. The theory is if some how the gun powder in a round is ignited, there could be enough pressure buildup in a sealed metal box that could result in a big explosion acting like a grenade sending shrapnel in all directions. Same method for storing gun powder should be used.
If you use a vault or safe, you need venting for pressure relief. A ammo boxes seams are weak enough that with very little pressure buildup from heat, they will split so it’s not acting as a bomb.

Tim Patterson thanks for the compliment.

You really did a nice job setting up your reloading room
Nice!
Lovely room
I really like the storage unit for the die sets.
Nice set up dude! That die shelf… sweet, but definitely over kill. Maybe put a patent on it 🤣
Looks great I have been wanting to do this in my basement
Nice set up man. Looks good
Looks good to me. Nice job !
Looks great man!
Youre in the wrong trade.......should have been a carpenter!!! 👍👍👍
mackshackgabe hahaha, thanks for the compliment 👍 I appreciate it.
Very nice lucky man
that box in a box die storage is freaking awesome.
Thanks!
I actually bought most likely the same oak plywood too I paid like 50 for the sheet
If you drill a hole and then cut the corner it helps..
Get rid of the Winchester primers. I wouldn't trust them in my guns

How big is your room? Curious for my own build
12 feet by 11 feet
why cant you store ammo in a metal box? Aren’t ammo cans sealed metal boxes??

I'm dreaming
My vid man take a class on videography! That camera movement makes seasick.
Then don’t watch! No one asked you too anyways.
