3:37 I know this is just an example, but since you mentioned bananas, years ago, Costco use to have the lowest price for bananas. But for the last 5+ years, they became the highest price in the area. It's 66 cents/lbs. at Costco. The stores next to Costco have it for 48 cents/lbs. and 49 cents/lbs. As always, depending on specific area, the competition varies so it makes sense to know what to buy and what to skip at each store. It forces price competition to actually shop wisely. Problem is that people aren't shopping wisely so you end up with less competitive price. 37.5% higher and you paid membership fee for this? The produce section in particular is riddled with such situation at least in my area and people still overpay.
You do Not need a membership card to use pharmacy it’s for everyone. Alcohol & eyeglasses do not need members either. You do not need a membership to shop either. Go to guest service & say you wana b guest shopper
Although it's true that you don't need a membership for the pharmacy, you have some misinformation here. The optometrist inside of Costco doesn't require a membership because they're independent, however to purchase contacts or glasses you do require a membership. I will be making video about each department in the near future. Also "guest shopper" is not a real thing. You can't just ask to be one from the membership desk. If a member gives you a cash card, you can use that to shop at Costco without a membership, or if you return a gift and get a card instead of cash/card refund. Other than that you do need to have your own membership.
This is interesting, I haven't heard of this being a thing anywhere in the western states, or at least not in all of the locations where I've worked. I wonder if that's specific to Michigan or its region.
Izzy, I am so happy I found you on youtube. Your videos are very informative. Thank you
I live in Mobile Alabama and our Costco has done a away with a lot of stuff I use regular, asked for them to restock but seems to not care
Thank you for your tips.
There really is a channel for everything
