It has one good use: hold the knife in your left hand, a heavy weapon in your right (daedric mace or something) and your swing speed is calculated by the weight of your left hand, so you’ll swing the heavy weapon really fast

I don't remember if it was Fudgemuppet's, but I once saw a build where you play as a cannibalistic Gourmet, using the knife and fork to stab your enemies to death, along with ample use of fire magic to cook them, and of course, the Ring of Namira, so you can properly enjoy your delicious dishes...
Michael Noell it was on ESOs channel. He made a cannibal chef build using the knife and fork as dual wielding weapons.
Used these weapons for funsies. Knife - chaos damage + paralyze chance and Fork - chaos damage + absorb health. The satisfaction was... immersive )

Is it true that 100 enchanting and the first enchantment as Chaos and the second as absorb health will make it so that you do near to 100 absorb health? It says on Wiki, but i cant test it out right now.
if you upgrade your arcane elemental perks it can get really high but use an outfit with as much fortify alchemy as possible to make an enchanting potion so you can really get it up there for good measure
i did the glitch with restoration potions and now my knife has 2.9 million absorb health. I renamed it to Boss-Killer

In terms of enchantments, the only 1 that will really matter for use of the forks & knives is the wielding enchantment for 1-handed weapons. Otherwise use those like fire, ice, soul trap, fear...Using double enchantments with Extra Effect can also help.
Hey Camel, I found a golden set of fork and knife while completing the thieves guild/nightingale quest in the dwarfen ruin, where you should kill Mercer Frey. They can be encountered randomly in certain chests.

The perks only increase the damage, it does do a small amount of damage at the beginning.

Well, you could use the restoration potion exploit in order to get a decent vampiric drain enchantment on them, which would be suiting. Like you're eating your opponent's life force.
I think I will do this for a Sheogorath worshipper playthrough.

A long time ago I made "The Cook" a build that used bandit armor, a chef hat and Enchanted Fork and Knife. I used some Enchanting potions and made Chaos Damage and Health Absorb Fork and Knife.
At sovngard I prepared a great meal, "Roasted Alduin Meat".
All you need is the dual enchantment perk and you can make the knife and fork crazy strong. ESO has a chef build where he uses them as his weapons, both with dual enchantments and they are actually pretty good..
i remember having a fork as a weapon way back on the xbox 360, but then i saw more that couldn't be weapons on pc and figured it was a glitch they patched, good to see that there is just a select few that are weapons.

I haven't even seen the vid yet and I know it's fucking amazing.
Knife + fire enchantment = Glowing 1000 Degree Knife.
If you want to make them usable, you could use the Chaos Enchantment. If you're fully optimized, you could get it to deal over 300 damage per element, more if you're a vampire necromage, and if you have the dual enchanter perk, it powers up the next enchantment you put on it too (best with Absorb Health). Create your own unstoppable kitchen utensils of death and destruction and make Sheogorath proud.
"You'd need one hell of a **bleep** enchantment to make these weapons usable." Easy, Fortify Restoration potion glitch, then you can ACTUALLY make a 1000 degree knife and fork, which at enchantment level 100, you could add another enchantment. (Preferably the one that heals you when you hit things, as if you were eating your enemy)
When I first got these unique weapons I enchanted them both with paralysis and named them Namira's knife and Namira's fork since I was part of Namira's group and I figured the two would fit well with it. So from there on when I used them attackers were repeatedly paralyzed which was hilarious.
In my current playthrough of dawnguard, I decided to build the basic home near pinewatch and a weaponized fork seems to regularly respawn after a few days.
If you have level 100 enchanting, put the chaos enchantment and paralysis on both. They become useful.

Can you show a guide for how to acquire the Punbreaker? So I could shield my self from these puns.
Use the shout Unrelenting Force; the first portion of the shout is needed to "shout" the fork free in the crag in the throat of the world. With trial and error, you can start having a set of cutlery the Greybeards' dropped.
I made a psycho chef build centered around using the fork and knife exclusively.
Focus One Handed, Enchanting, Conjuration (perks to assist Enchanting, no summoning [soul trap a corpse until max, basically]), Illusion (tame your food), and Destruction (to light your stove/precook your food, can only use it for hunting fast animals like elk).
RP elements include Namira's Ring and vampirism (not a picky eater), only food items may be consumed for healing (stim potions are fine so long as they don't heal), you may only use "organic" light armor (i.e. Fur, Hide, Leather, Dragon Scale), and you must wear a chef's hat at all times.
Quite challenging, but that's part of the fun.

I remember totally accidentally picking up a fork on the dawnguard dlc. I had fun, but was confused as to why I couldn't equip random forks. Forgot about it soon after.

You know the way Cicero became a jester because he got so obsessed with his last contract that he took on his identity (or something like that)? I used that as inspiration for my crazed assassin Khajiit, who became so obsessed with the gourmet that he took on the identity of a chef and used a single knife as his one and only weapon ... with a shit load of 1-handed enchantments.

I can confirm the "cut"lery spawns in the kitchen, in a crate by the cupboard facing west by the oven.
I used to have enchanted ones. The knife was health drain/syphon and the fork was soul tear. Stack that with the ring of namira and you have a perfect cannibal build.
When you buy Honeyside and fully furnish it in Riften, there is a knife and fork that can be equipped as a weapon on the table out on the deck overlooking the water.

My primary weapon is a weapon I named "The Godslayer." It's a fork with a maximum damage Chaos Damage enchantment and a Soul Trap enchant as well

Skyrim VR helps with getting the fork in the mountain, also getting "secret" chests

Another way to find both is using the Dragonborn DLC. Head to Bujold's Retreat, and inside the most prominent tent is both a knife and a fork. You may have to shout at them though. They will however, count as stolen.
They all can be used as weapons if you temper them at the grinding wheel, you don't have to find the ones that are already tempered.

I always rename my knife and fork when I enchant them. Salad Fork and Butter Knife, frost enchantment on the fork to keep my salad cold and Fire on my Knife to make cutting my butter easier

Use the restoration potion glitch to give them some insane enchantments, that's what I did on my Xbox 360 save when I completed pretty much everything. I enchanted a ring with health boost and fortified unarmed to such a big number that in couldn't read it because the font was too small. In could literally jump off the throat of the world and one hit. a dragon wearing just this ring.

so looking at the SEEdit this is the details on Knife and fork
Knife Keywords "Vendor Item Weapon" that's it, keep in mind keywords matter the Iron Sowrd also has "WeaponMaterialIron" and "Weapon Type Sword" which determines things like what section it would show up under black smith (iron), and what perks effect it (sword), The Knife has none.
Animation type: One handed dagger
Crit Damage 0: Despite popular belief crit damage is not a function or class but each weapon, Each individual weapon has it's own Crit damage values, the Knife has 0.
detection sound: Normal (ie its not a silent or super loud item, most weapons, like the iron sword are normal detection sound)Fork:Keyword: Vendor Item Weapon

when you have played Skyrim long enough to the loot will respawn in the 3 buildable House's so it means more forks and knives

Could you technically say that there is an unlimited amount of the knives and forks in the game because in the hearthfire dlc you have the option to return the houses back down to the starting one and then rebuild the main section and get the little desk/table/whatever it was that has them on and get them again? It would be incredibly expensive and pointless but it wold give you extra knives and forks in case you ever need them. Sorry if someone else commented this already I didn't have time to red them all.

I use them and I have a cannibal build. I enchant them with fire and paralyze and use the shouts Dragon Aspect, Elemental Fury, and Fire Breath. The armor is chefs clothing.
I have confirmed when building a new house, there is a pair in the back room of the main hall, and in the kitchen expansion in a wooden trey on the floor between the sm table & chairs and the oven, a second set. Also, if visiting another one of your houses, and don't return for 3 in game days, they will re-appear most of the time.
For anyone who wants the set at the throat of the world stand on top of the fork and knife and use the first word of unrelenting force directly on top of them and the they will become able to pick up but the fork will quickly roll down the side of the mountain it’s easy to get the fork if u know what ur doing and the knife will be sitting still on the rock

There is a weapon missing from the list in the description. It is of course exclusive to the Switch version of Skyrim if mods aren’t used, the Master Sword.
