Die gebürtige Britin Rachel Stewart lebt seit 2016 in Deutschland und lernt noch immer Neues, Überraschendes und Erstaunliches über die Deutschen und ihre Kultur. Für “Meet the Germans” taucht sie in den deutschen Alltag ein - und mit wahren Kulturschätzen wie “Bier”, “Fleisch” oder “Weihnachten” wieder auf. Aber auch kontrovers diskutierte Themen wie “Deutsche Digitalisierung” oder “Voll emanzipiert? Frauen in Deutschland” gehören natürlich zu “Meet the Germans” dazu.

There is also delucious bread in Poland,the same Tradition.
The thing I miss most, living in the UK is good bread. At least there's Lidl and Aldi which have tijgerbrood.

You make the dough and let it rise and then before putting it in the over you at the pap over the dough this is what gives it the tiger stripes

Man germans sure know how to make the best bread
Yes, but unfortunately, the real baking tradition in Germany (with FEW ingredients) is dying more and more. Everywhere you get fast baking bread with tons of artificial ingredients, even in bakeries. Its really not easy to fing out, which bakery is baking on the traditional way or with crap. The prices are the same.

My Dutch daughter living in the UK mostly misses the wonderful loafs we have over here. I'll admit there are additional lovely varieties in Germany which we enjoy during our walks.

I come from Ecuador and I can say German bread sucks compared to Latin American bread hahaha but basically all european gastronomy sucks compared to the gastronomies from Latin America, so it is not to surprise bread is the same case.
