TY ! As a widow I have had to learn to be a handy person. Your video really helped me do a repair that would have cost a fortune to have it professionally fixed.
Hello. Thanks for leaving such a nice comment. I really appreciate it! Yes, let’s hope this video last a long time and hopes many more folks save money. Take care and thanks for commenting!
@@FastFixRUclips I am cleaning up a friend’s house to help sell, and there was a broken plunger, but then when cleaning another sink, that plunger broke as well, with zero effort, just snapped, in a spare bathroom which has not really been used in some years… AND on that sink the tip of the rod past the ball had corroded off too short to catch a new plunger, so all the sudden I am the DIY hero who understood what to buy and how to replace it! I truly appreciate you because we really did not want to make this too difficult or costly. Much love to you 💪
My sink stopper came undone and I ignored it, tried to fix it without any videos, then the little ball came loose and my sink was leaking. I pulled up this video and my sink was fixed in 5 minutes!! Thank you so much Fast Fix :-)
Oh my gosh, THANK YOU for this video. I usually have to spend far too long listening to someone's life story BEFORE they get to the pertinent info. I thought it was going to be a much harder fix! THANK YOU MR. FAST FIX!!!!
Thank you! The channel was started to battle all the videos that had a life story attached to every repair job. Glad you saw the value in the video! Much appreciate the comment 👍
This was spot on video and explained what happens inside that ball-mechanism which is what 99% of the people can't show easily! Thanks for the clear explanation.
Great vid! And thanks for speeding up the footage when showing the screwing on of that one component...wish more people understood that we don't need to sit there for 3 minutes watching a guy screw something on. Great angles, great explanation and, hallelujah, NO MUSIC! :)
Excellent how to video. I went to hardware store and bought replacement parts for $3. My problem was I was always taught righty-tighty, lefty loosey - but it's the reverse in this case because you're not looking at the fitting from the front. Once I figured that out the repair went well. Thanks!
Subscribed because this made my life so much easier. No more googling, no more troubleshooting, you’ve got the answers and present them clearly and quickly. Thank you so much.
Thank you. Went to Lowe's and had this fixed in no time. Figured out where the washer that came with the kit went too. One of the most helpful videos I've ever seen on here.
Thanks, Terence! And if there's one thing I could add to this video it's the washer. Unfortunately, RUclips doesn't allow editing once the video is uploaded... Glad you were able to sort it out. I appreciate the comment! Take care.
Thank you! My stopper has been out for months and I finally got fed up enough to do something about it. You explained everything clearly so it was easy for me to follow along.
Sir!! Thank you so much. Just followed your handy guide and was able to fix my sink. Now i'm a hero in my household, my wife and kids think i'm super dad :)
I was so happy to find this video! I'd removed the stopper to clean it and the pipe, to see whether that would help my sink drain better. Another video I'd been following didn't explain how to hook the stopper on the rod. Thanks to your video, my sink is back in business and draining well, and as a side benefit my stopper now has more "range of motion" than it did before. Thank you!
I am caring for my elderly parents in their home and this happened to one of their bathroom sinks. Thanks to your video, I was able to fix it! Thank you so much!
Hello. Wow, that’s very nice of you to care for your parents like that. I’m happy this video helped you in whatever way possible. Kudos for being a great person and thank you for the nice comment 👍
Just to clarify, my wife is the one caring for her parents. She made the comment but my name appeared with the comment. She felt like she really accomplished something when she was able to do this repair.
Thank you. Video helped me out. You aimed the camera in just the right spot too! Just a tip, my faucet was 11 yrs old and the part was under warranty. With your video and a phone call, this repair was FREE!
Thank you so much! The longest part of this process for me was finding the part kit at Home Depot. The rest was a piece of cake thanks to your video! I appreciate you posting this!
had this problem for over a year, desided to look it up today at 4am, watched this video to see where to start and see what the problem is, paused the video when i saw your rod broken by the ball, looked at mine, it had the same thing, i took a rubber hammer and some plyers gave it a few wacks, got my rod into the right position, put it all back together and wham problem solved sink plug working again. good video, thanks man i spent zero dollars to fix it.
Yes I agree I am now a widow also and of course woke up to a leaky bathroom sink my husband took care of all this stuff now I'm youtubing trying to figure this stuff out on my own. You have no idea how much you have helped me thank you so much!
This was a great video. Thank you. This particular kit - the universal didn't work for me. I kept getting leaks thru the threads where the ball is. Also, first my mistake was I didn't put the washer in the correct spot. The old washer had cracked, so I needed to use the new one. Of course, I forgot where it went. So, I put the washer between the ball and the screw nut. This was incorrect! It needs to go washer first which sits kinds in the pipe at the end, then the ball and rod, then the nut screws on. I needed to get the correct size rod instead of the adjustable one since my leaks were coming from the threads in the adjustable rod. Once I replaced that to a fixed ball with rod, no leaks. Thank you for your video!
MomofScout good deal, glad you got it sorted. That is the one part my video is lacking. The installation of the bloody washer. Glad you were able to figure it out. Cheers!
Perfect vid. Helped me fix my issue in under 2mins. Thank you! And I appreciate the on-purpose error of forgetting the washer - makes sure folks are paying attention...! Cheers.
Well done, my friend. I fixed my wife's sink and she thinks I'm a genius. I will take all of the credit and not let her know that you were the true hero!
Thanks so much. I was able to learn how under the sink works. Had a stopper than wouldn't stay closed. I was able to just tighten the rod screw with my hand and totally saved me frustration and a plumber's visit.

It came out perfectly. That rod was as sharp as a knife when I got it out. I took it to Lowe's and found exactly what I needed. I'm glad I took the rod with the white ball on it to make sure it was exactly the right size.
Hello. Perfect! It’s always a good idea to bring the old parts with you, I do that almost all of the time. I’m glad this video helped and thanks for taking the time to comment 👍👍👍
I must give thanks when it’s due. I was ready to install a whole drain pipe and add a pop up stopper wait until I had time on the weekend and all; this is much more economic and less time consuming. Thank you, sir.
I was about one minute away from calling a plumber until I saw your splendid video. After getting the part, the whole job took about one-half an hour. I don't know how much I would have spent plus the incredible self satisfaction. You're aces with me!
Another 👍🏼 for a very easy to follow video. Only thing was my Lowe’s didn’t just have the rod part, I had to buy a whole bundle with the rod/ball, the clamp and thing with the holes and even a piece of a pipe 🙈 next time I’ll look online but I’m expecting company so just wanted to get it done. Had it fixed in 10 min thanks to you!

Thank you very much! I was able to fix my clogged sink but then saw the stopper wouldn’t stay up. I followed your instructions and saw that the ball piece had rusted. I was able to fix everything in about 20 minutes. Will be back if I need more help.
i had the same problem with proximity to the wall. I used a bolt cutter to lop off an inch or so off the end of the rod going into the pipe. Problem solved.
Thanks for the video. I'm a new home owner with no "Ms. Fix-It" skills. I was able to follow your instructions and wahlah! No more issue! Thanks again!
I have did this in the past but did not feel comfortable doing it myself. So thank you so much for your video! I'm just now turning back on the hot water and cold water so I hope I don't have any leaks. If I do that's on me. LOL
Thanks this worked great - your video made it very easy! I had one additional step, when I turned off my water valves, it dislodged sediment and got trapped in my faucet. I noticed it when I was complete and had poor very poor water pressure. Just unscrew the mesh filter where your water comes out with a wrench and clean it off. If it’s real bad soak it in CLR. Screw it back on and you should be good to go!
Hello! Haha, well I think you proved that you’re not the least handy man in the history of men having completed the repair. Nicely done and congrats! Thanks for the nice comment 👍
This is exactly what I needed, thank you! The only thing that could have made it better is the name of the kit (so I didn't wander around the hardware store for quite as long 😂)
your video was FANTASTIC! It helped me to fix my sink in 3 minutes! Thank you :)
Glad it helped, Kimberly. Cheers!
