  • You all loved the images during the build process and I'm so happy to finally have this tutorial out. I designed these wigs for Clue the Musical at Moorpark college based on Borderlands' art style known as "cell shade". Foam wigs really helped sell the costumes and style to the audience! These are super cheap and easy to make, all you need is thin craft foam, scissors, contact cement, plastidip and acrylic paint. Be sure to work in a well ventilated area.

I like this a lot. I plan to make a lifesized doll of a character and don't want to use a normal wig. This may work well given the doll has a wighead inserted in the polyfill.

Could you make a video where you explain how to make the cap that you were making at the start?

How do you secure these wigs when you put them on?

Ill be making a video about that in the future but essentially it works like a regular wig. Put your hair in a wig cap as normal and use wig pins to secure it on by puching the pins through the foam in strategic places-the temples, top of the head, back of the neck- and weaving the pins through your hair as you would a normal wig
