Thank you so much for these videos! With my first I had no idea there was more than one way to tie a stretchy wrap, I'm so happy that I stumbled across other ways!
How in the hell did you figure this out ?! Lol there’s no way my five month old will have the patience for this. I foresee many back arches and whip backs of head. 😂
As with any carry it will work for some and not others. It was one my babies adored and had the patience for but I have certainly met babies who don't. That's why I have made 11 stretchy wrap videos... something for everyone. Many babies gave of course developmentally grown out of stretchies by 5 months... and are ready for something sturdier
@@lamusique3451 I am not saying anything is "best" or "better". I simply ment in the case of the person above who didn't think this method would work for them might find something like a carrier which is more sturdy more inline with the needs they described. What is best or better for you will depend on your needs! Some parents still love wraps with older babies, while many others move onto carriers. Although generally for older babies more sturdy material wraps like woven wraps will work better than stretchy ones such as shown in this video. Does that help?
How old/big would this be good for? I've been wanting to try a hip carry for awhile with my 1 year old. She weighs 22 lbs and it didn't work very well when I tried this. Was it likely user error or is she on the too big side for this to work with a stretchy wrap?
Sorry for slow reply I didn't get a notification about this comment! Sorry! So the answer will depend on your wrap... if it is very stretchy then it could be hard, if its not very stretchy then likely it will work well provided you can get it nice and snug! I do offer online consultations so if you'd like a bit of help please let me know -Madeleine
@@thembimdluli3882 the carry i am demonstrating can be done with any stretchy wrap. The wrap i am using in the video is the Ergobaby Aura wrap. My top pick stretchies are the Izmi baby and the Hana baby which are available in my webshop here sheenslings.com/product-category/buy/wraps-and-slings/
I would recommend waiting until baby has some head and neck control. Many babies by 2 months will and some won't ... you know your baby best! Give it ago and see how you feel and if it doesn't feel right then leave it a few weeks before trying again
Yes absolutely you can! This is a carry that also works with woven wraps (that are definitely a lot thicker and have absolutely no stretch) so I have no doubt you will be able to do it with your Innoo wrap. If your struggling, I do offer online consultations and can walk you through it step by step in real time.
I've never seen a stretch carrier wrapped like this! I love it, thank you!!
So glad it was helpful
Thank you! I tried this today and found it very comfy!

@@SheenSlings When you say something sturdier, are you referring to the wrap material or are you saying a carrier is best for older babies?

Can you do this with a newborn? My baby is two months?

I have an innoo baby wrap. It doesn’t look as stretchy as yours. Mines a bit thicker too. Can I still do this?
