Hey mate. Could you do a video on adding new circuits to an existing domestic board. And the test you conduct before and after!!! Cheers. Great videos!
Question from an apprentice. You say that an RCD trip without MCB trip means neutral and earth fault, which makes sense. But if the fault contacts phase and earth, surely that would draw a big fault current (like 800A for example) that instantly trips the MCB before the RCD is able to detect the fault, no?
Goabnb94 rcds are designed to prevent large fault currents developing, so trip once a certain earth leakage current is present usually around 30mA, disconnecting circuit before any damage/danger occurs. If no rcd it would rely on MCB to trip but depends how much current is drawn before it operates. 800A would rapidly trip mcb but would damage circuit/ things on it.
Sparky Dave to the rescue. What should a sparky do if the tenancy tribunal orders the landlord has to get the sparky then gives notice to the tenant and then the tenant kicks the sparky out?
If the tenant or occupant denies access to the contractor for a fault on the circuit then the contractor should contact the owner immediately and communicate what has occured. As long as property, people and livestock are not in danger then it's basically an arse covering exercise. If for any reason their is risk of any danger to the aforementioned then remove consumer main fuses (service protection devices) and contact the network operator immediately, then the owner, etc...
hey customer range up and complaining..since someone worked there powerbox, he mucked up their family fan ... 🤣 which had been working for the last 20 years....
Such an informative video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences. 👍
Please do more and keep up the good work

RCD TRIPS FOR EARTH FAULTS( I.e L TO E OR N TO E) WHILE MCB TRIPS ONLY FOR SHORT CIRCUITS BETWEE LIVE CONDUCTORS( LIVE AND NEUTRAL).
@@theultradiamondgamer7650 The MCB will trip from a Phase to Earth fault. Just which will trip first is the question.
Hey man, can you pls make a video on how to wire 2-3 light fixtures on a single switch pls? Cheers!
Wonderful and sweet as!
Still confuse what was the fault
How much would you have charged this customer for this job?

Do you know the electrician from Christchurch who needs an apprentice? ;)
You could have used the grounded terminal for the earth just remove the termination label😁
