I agree with a few of the comments that it would be nice if you slow just a little. No disrespect ment. I am a spark and always watch videos to improve myself and my knowledge but it was difficult to take in what you were explaining because it was to fast and jumbled. Appreciate the time you have taken to make this video though.
To be honest Terry it probably wasn’t one of my best videos on them but at the end of the day I’m electrician not a presenter so no offence taken whatsoever.I enjoy making the videos are away the problem I found when making this video was trying to talk to electricians and trying to disguise what I was saying. So anybody with less experience didn’t really cotton on to what I was saying I know this sounds bizarre but it makes sense if you watch my video of this weeks RUclips comments
@@ElectricianTV good on you mate for taking constructive criticism. Who knows we may see you on mainstream TV one day. This is the first I’ve watched of your videos but I’ve liked, subscribed and will be watching more
Hi . I do fault finding as my day to day job. I usually just use insulation resistance to fault find. Trying to see if buying one of the clamp meters would make it quicker and and make life easier
An insulation resistance tester injects DC into de energized wiring and so it misses leakage current of downstream devices and also capacitance leakage.
So if a piece of equipment is tripping the circuit due to alot of earth leakage whats the best thing to do? Put it on the other rcd side if it's dual rcd? It doesn't mean the equipments faulty does it?
If the fault is Global across the whole consumer unit then I would suggest you put them on an RCBO consumer unit and spread across the whole lot.If it’s all on one circuit Then I would look into it further if you see the link on the video for E5 it tells you the maximum Values you’re allowed per appliance.
Looked at the Megger but seems damn pricey for what it is. Seemed like you could probably get an equivalent for a third of the price, but then I've not used any to know what the actual differences may be.
Midfielder always love your video's but trailing lead with earth taken out ????? I think i know what you mean , but it needs more clarification . Not that I could present any better but Will some info seems a bit woolly/Vague. Keep making the Vids please.
I appreciate that I’ve basically had the same conversation with one of my friends on the phone and he said he said the same thing one of the problems is is that I don’t feel that comfortable giving too much away just in case a customer who has less experience tries to follow advice by disconnecting neutrals. If there’s anything in particular you would like me to cover I will bring it up on my Friday show will be answering peoples questions I’m more than happy to do it on that video as it would not have resemblance to this video
If your worried about teaching diyers then use terms only an electrician knows and don’t break it down in simple form so other electricians such as myself can learn off eachother rather than keeping things close to heart
That megger miliamp tester is one of my favourite test instruments! Completely agree with ya!
I bought that megger tester for a particular fault finding job and it paid for itself after its first use.
Another cracking video Will and definitely worth a watch is the GSH video demonstrating a break out lead.
Keep em coming mate 👌
Class video William!! Class bitta kit!!

Another great vid. Would be good to see the megger in action though.
Will you’re 100% qualified to teach mate! You’ve taught me a thing or two 😉… keep up with the quality vids!
Thanks a lot mate
Great tech tip, I'll buy the cheapy one 1st, and then probably buy the mega
Make sense mate 👍🐝⚡️

Without a shadow of a doubt. Game changer
It’s one of those tools you buy and wished you’d always owned

👍👍👍
👍👍👍 2 core flex and trailing socket for leakage testing??
I just have a extension lead socket strip on which i have opened up the flex cable and test line and neutral omitting cpc.
We weren't born with the knowledge. If we don't share information as a trade or skill we are doomed
Cheers mate thank you

Reliable readings 👍👍👍 plus quality
I'm all for brand loyalty, but I got the ethos one around 18 months ago and it's been spot on.

Actually, why do you use the word 'actually' so much??
Because I actually really like the word mate, it’s just a hobby, it’s not scripted
Clearly you do. Ad nauseam!
I heard a load of baffle not explained clearly at all.
Thats a shame this video was for electricians
Can you please do this vid again... IN ENGLISH 😳
That’s a shame you didn’t enjoy it
This was in Queens English. I suggest you pay better attention next time.
Rubbish moving on his foots a lot not relax guy ❤🎉
