I can only do 30 min a day, sometimes even 20. I'm a very busy working woman. I was shocked to hear that people think 30 min isn't enough! My blood pressure, cholesterol levels, cardiovascular health, EVERYTHING started improving drastically by just committing to 30 min workouts. Even every other day when life gets too busy.. But still keeping it 20-30 min. It's great. To put the pressure on yourself thinking you have to do 1 hour is what makes people quit trying to be healthy.

I started out as an absolute potato a year and a half ago, weighing about 210 pounds. Took baby steps starting with 15 minute cardio workouts 3-5 times a week. There were many weeks where I wouldn't even get over 3 workouts in that week, but I kept pushing regardless. I still do 15-30 minute workouts for 3-5 days a week, but now I can do strength training 3 days and cardio for 2, I can go on walks after being up all day, and I've lost *57 pounds*. I've never been this healthy my whole life. It seriously doesn't matter how many times or for how long you work out each day, the only thing that matters is that you don't give up and you stay consistent :)

Similar here. I started with hour of yoga two times a week, end then half hour every three days, then 40 minutes of yoga and 5 to 10 minutes of exercise for gluteus few times a week... If I feel tired I just skip it and exercise breathing. That I started during pregnancy and I never worked out in my life before. It was important to me to be healthy and stay in shape and I hope to have some kind of yoga or other activities after I give birth. I don't force it, I don't overwhelmed myself but I try to do something for myself every day. It's better to do something rather than nothing. Finally someone talks about this! I struggled five years with workouts starting from zero times per week to 4-5 times a week, from 1-2 hours per workout and I stopped training many times along the way, cause it was just too much for me. This year I started training 30-45min per day, 3-4 times a week and I have managed to keep this new routine for 4 months now and it actually suits me much better and I see results just by doing 30min workouts 3-4 times per week!💪🏼 Just go for a walk or do the 30min workout, it helps a lot if you are starting your journey to better health or if you are trying to maintain your body.❤

With spring here I started to walk a month ago regularly in the nature starting with some audiobooks and I always was so dizzy after the walks. I bought a bike so can move more without messing up my ankles like last year and since Saturday I no longer get dizziness after biking. The dizziness used to prevent me from starting the workout and I'm so happy it's gone.
Btw my weirdest hack that worked in the last month was not to force it. I wanted to listen to the book, I started walking with no goals at all, just wandering. This way I even explored the neighborhood and did more walking/biking organically than I would have.

Then life happened - pandemic, menopause and the deaths of both my parents. I've gained weight even as I continue to exercise 4-6 times a week for 30 minutes. This video reminded me that I'm still an apple, regardless of the weight gain, because of all the years I've put into my exercise habit. Thank you for that. I appreciate this reminder so much. I work around an overnight 40+ hour warehouse job. My best time is the weekend. At most I can sneak in 2 days a week, 25 mins to 30 min workouts. I do full body weighs. Been consistent for 9 months now. I was 220 fat when I started. But I'm 210 with lots of muscle.
My shoulders and arms are not only thicker, they are rounder. My legs are leaner, lower back, leaner. My chest is bigger and more shaped out. While weight hasn't dropped much, the composition is totally different and it's been a fantastic change.
You don't need lots of time, once it becomes routine, and you know what to do, with trial and error and studying those that sre serious in the gym, you can teach yourself and get changes you want.

One tip is to think about why it's hard for you. There must be a very specific reason. I’ve recently started my fitness journey and I’m on a mission to stop eating gluten and dairy altogether and I’ve been good at it. But I’ve realized that when I get very anxious about something (either that’s an argument with someone I love, an important decision in my life, or petty things that can sometimes piss me off) I eat things I shouldn’t or more than I should. Most times it's something emotional. Ask yourself and you’ll likely find an answer and a solution for it. Hope this helps :)

Now me (apple who is 10 -15 pounds from goal weight) has to reel in my training and not be so hardcore with the lifting. I'm so worried about back sliding or losing the results I worked so hard for. Might be time for a mobility focus... thank you for all you do, Jordan!

ive struggled for the past 10 years with my relationship to food (ED) and exercise, nothing ever resonated or stuck with me. this new year I started doing pilates every day (or almost every day, Friday is typically my off day and weekends I prioritize walking/running) for 30 min and oh my god. I am an entirely new woman. I feel amazing, im starting to see my results both on the inside and out. 30 minutes a day is perfect! plus its not daunting enough of a 'commitment' to want to quit--its basically an episode of your fav tv show! the time will pass anyway, so do it!

I used to "work out" 2 hours per day six days per week easy. I did all kinds of activities...cycling to work (utilizing hills etc), ballet lessons, improvisational dance, strength training, calisthenics, Zumba classes, pilates, weights etc. A few years ago my husband became very sick with advanced interstitial lung disease due to rheumatoid arthritis. I became his caretaker up to and past his double lung transplant out of state for five months in 2023. They found cancer in his old lungs that has since spread in his body so I help him with chemo, meds, schedule etc in addition to working 45 hours per week and also visiting my mother who is in a nursing home with dementia. I just don't have the time I used to. So I squeeze in small intense workouts at 5-5:30am most mornings (though some mornings I start work at 5am to fit in everything). I am completely exhausted by 5pm so evening workouts are difficult, plus I squeeze in many chores and errands during evenings. I get in a longer workout on Sunday mornings. Sometimes I squeeze in calisthenics on 15 minute breaks at work or during my 30 minute lunch break. I LOVE to workout so it's torture not having the amount of time I would like. But my husband's life is very important to me too and he needs a lot of care right now. I think this is a reality for others too and more common than people think.

I work out 20 minutes 5 days a week ( Sunday through Thursday ) and it’s made a BIG difference. I do Pilates three times a week and cycling twice a week from home. I found Pilates classes on RUclips. I love doing cardio and I noticed that I have more stamina after consistently working out and I’m in better shape.

I started out last year doing cardio non-stop for only 30 minutes a day. I’ve kept the 30-40 or even an hour some days but I’ve noticed a good change in myself. I’ve added strength in my routine and I do feel better. Some days I feel bad for not working out longer but sometimes I can’t do it, so this just reassured me that what I’m doing is enough

I’m definitely an apple. I’m a teacher and hit it hard this summer. My hope was that I would get in the habit and want to keep doing it when school started. So far I’ve been working out 20-30 minutes a day after work most days a week. Spring is my busy season. So I usually stop working out during spring but the key is to restart when life slows down. Some people completely give up once they stop.

I started a new job and I don't have as much time as I used to, and this video is making me rethink my workout habits, trying to see that 30 minutes of moving is better than 30 minutes of doing nothing😕 I will try to do this from now on, so thank you!

I workout 10 minutes maybe like 2-3 times in the work week and I do half an hour on Saturday and Sunday. That has done SO MUCH for me. Went from an XL to a Medium in standard dress sizes. Took like 2 years, and that’s not what people want to hear. But my mental and physical health are significantly better than they used to be.

i just started working out again after a year of not doing so and this made me feel a lot better about where im at. in the last week ive been really pushing to get 10k steps and one of those days i only got like 7300 and i found myself feeling very guilty about it. i had to remind myself that im s beginner again and things will get easier the more i do em and that i cant expect to be at intermediate level fitness starting as a beginner. and i need to look at the small improvements i make instead of looking for big picture results. even having the motivation and energy to get up in the morning is still a huge step. we all tend to forget that from time to time. anyway, for anyone who comes across this, wherever you're at in your fitness journey (or life journey in general), im proud of you, you're doing great. small steps leads to big results. and even if you fall off again, its okay. what matters is you pick back up and keep going. Thanks Jordan for making this video, it not only helped me, but its going to help a lot more people than me

This makes me feel a lot better. I don’t have a lot of money and I struggle a lot with executive function and depression. I’ve been able to get 30 minutes a day about 5 days a week for a few months starting from one of my worst depressive episodes but feeling kinda bad about not doing more. I’m still adding more incrementally but at least I’m doing good.

last year, i started gaining weight and i felt it affecting my overall health especially on my feet. I stand for long hours for my work.
i started doing home workouts for 20-30min almost every day and the pain left, and i feel much much healthier and stronger. sometimes when i'm too busy or really not feeling it, i'll throw in 15 min.
always remember that 15min or 30min is better than not doing it at all.

This was very refreshing to hear! I recently started my weight loss journey and have been super motivated to actually stick with it, since we have a major trip planned next year. But getting 10,000 steps a day, plus a gym workout, changing my diet, and doing everything else in a normal day was way too much and I was getting burnt out quickly. I started scaling back the workout, and made sure that I was getting at least 8,000 steps every day, and my bf and I started doing the Cto5k, I hate running, but this makes it fun lol. But I focused a majority of my energy on my diet change and since the beginning of April to today, I'm already down 41lbs. But I was always worried I wasn't doing enough, so this was very nice and motivating to hear, and makes me feel like I'm actually doing something right lol.

    I kept hearing 75 THOUSAND steps a day and I was a bit concerned 😅 then I realised 😅
Former apple, I start again from potato stage, so I'm finding it quite hard.
So many seem to focus only on becoming a corona from being a potato, so I always gave up and self sabotaged myself, never thinking of the apple stage.
This video was indeed very informative and reassuring, thank you.

As someone who is a potato, I can guarantee lowering your exercise somewhat to accommodate life changes WILL NOT make you a potato. Your body will start to crave movement. You’ll get jittery and want to DO. Your body will actively work to NOT make you a potato. If you ignore those for an extended period of time, THEN you’ll risk potato-dom.

30 minutes a day (4-5 times a week) just walking around in the woods with my dog has kept me at a good baseline of health, especially while pregnant. It’s also the exercise routine I most easily slip into whenever life gets in the way from me doing more intense workouts, so regardless if I slip out of a routine (like weight training), I know I’m not jeopardizing my health (not getting overweight or having poor test results at the doctor). Sometimes, it’s best to keep it simple.
