- Krav maga Knife Defense. improve your skills with the 360 defense. Black belt conditioning. How to block stabs. Starring: Luca Arietti & Luca Goffi • Brescia (Italy)
*As we said at the beginning of the video, this is just an EXERCISE to develop your skills... it's like a game, not a complete technique, so be careful!*
Good exercise!!!
Classic drill. In my school we do it with both arms, random order, gradually increasing the speed, without the knife, just hands and keeping eye contact all the time in order to use peripheral vision. We end the class with bruised forearms.

One of the drills we try is eyes closed then a push or kick and immediate 360 attack. I love your videos, I use some of your techniques to confuse my partner in class.
very very interesting!!!!
Krav Maga basic operation (360 ° defense) Please inform the
I actually love this channel. Always been alright but never as good as these guys.
Ho visto molti vostri video, siete fantastici! E sopratutto fate una spiegazione semplice e facilmente comprensibile continuate cosi ;)
I wish you had displayed the counterattack more. Still a good video!
I like much your canal in youtube very good he aprendido mucho
This is probably mostly for defense against an untrained attacker. No one even marginally trained in knife fighting is going to telegraph that much, and most attacks will be straight - not round. He could throw a hand out to the side as a brief distraction, then use the opening to put the knife straight into your sternum (or intestines) - using either grip. Then, what would you do? *It's best to run from a knife fight if possible.*
You said it yourself,
IF POSSIBLE.....
Better to have a Defense and run, than have no Defense, forced to fight and DIE....
99.9 % of attackers are not trained knife fighters
That's a really cool drill, I like it.
Could you examine defense against 2 handed knife attack like St Cloud, MN mall attacker?
Lean back and lift your foot to make him say ouch
Won't kicks keep a much larger and safer distance?
Plus protecting from inside attacks. 👌🏻
Should u be looking in attackers eyes or on weapon or bit f b
Hello, i do krav maga about 6 months and I was sick When we learned 360 there and I still cant it good. How can I train that Best? Just on some place or to a wall, When im at home

(this guy is 12 don't mind him)
Good, basic drill. My issue with it is that it only works against smallish blades/weapons. Should and can be modified so it works against larger ones. This can be done by "zoning" heavily, I believe - going deep into them at a forty five degree angle. That way, you can even block something as large as a machete, or bigger, because you're entirely out of the way (evasion+blocking). The same type of concept applies to straight attacks, in a similar manner to krav maga's inside defense - stepping out at a forty-five degree angle and executing something like that (a la the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program's counter to the lead/rear hand punch).
Here it is if you want to reference it (you can do CTRL+F "Counter to Rear Hand Punch" and "Counter to Lead Hand Punch" - this is the inside defense): www.marines.mil/News/Publications/ELECTRONICLIBRARY/ElectronicLibraryDisplay/tabid/13082/Article/126855/mcrp-3-02b.aspx
MCMAP also uses a similar style of weapons countering (what I'm speaking of). Its base (principles) is good, not too fond of the applications.
Looks similar to one of the Wing Chun techniques
I can remember how purple my arms woukd be from 360 defense practice
Anybody knows if they are related to IMKF or to KMG?
This technique is good I train this with my close friend. But I have a problem if your opponent is strong arm. If you wanna strong like criminal
Tips:
Push up 50 times
Dumbell 100 times
Some stretch
Pull ups
Block and jab at the same time, it will daze him.
In martial art matches I never saw this kind of blocking. Did somebody managed to defend with this technique in real life situation?
I THINK THEY ARE DEAD
That explains it
I think that to ko a guy with a knife if you block him is a suicide because i think that you have to pass out the knife then you can punch him
I thought they were training with a real blade for a second, I was like "really?"
Good video
I completely disagree with this guy. The best thing to do when fighting a person is to stretch each of your arms and turn around really quickly like a helicopter. That way you can hit your opponent several times and at least block him from entering. Works every time against any type of fighter, except of course the one who is running away!
lol
I agree this works in most situations, but in some you have to jump and spin around really fast with your feet flying about kicking everyone and everything in the vicinity, this way you instantly can kick anyones ass.
ah...the helicopter move..I thought it was lost hundreds of years ago.
Yamko No. And it's quite effective. I'm 18 and was able to beat two 10 year olds at the same time with it. And 10 plus 10 equals 20 so that's as if I beat a 20 year old.
Ah yes! The Xena combat method. Best when performed with the battle cry. Unfortunately, that practice died out in the late 90's.
This may be a good training method but a knife fight is so fast and violent you do get cut and stabbed what you would call defensive wounds the biggest problem is seeing it coming ,it happens so fast
What language is this? Italian?
Or bit of both
Cool.
Finita?
Legal valeu
I don't think this is a good defense. If your oppenent is stronger he can break through that arm block and you don't want that when a knife is involved.
that's why you carry a gun. If he's dumb enough to bring a knife to a gun fight, he's dumb enough to get shot.
Justin Widle people aren't allowed guns in every country and anyway there expensive.
Justin Widle if you shot someone you will still go to court whether or not I was self defense.
This is a practice on your reflex against a weapon. if its a good or not this technique will help with your reflexes on disarming the enemy
SLH86 the strength from the technique comes from the momentum that you create by bringing your arm to that of your opponent, strength is not important in this technique.
I just came here for the 360Noscope???
You cannot block an experienced attacker. Even champions cannot.
What happened to the vids
i love this tattooed guy
grandi
Wow

I wonder how they do all this without accidentally hitting each other ever
Practice :)
They dont. Krav Maga doesnt use full contact in training but it doesnt change the fact that getting getting a punch in the face or a knee to the solar plexus is a common thing.
@@carlitoapplecool in my school we do spar
Fucking bull shit! All this crap doesn't work because an attacker is going to stab you with all his power and speed. An attacker can stab you like 3 times on one second and whatever defence you are trying to perform, it is not going to work. If the guy is friendly enough to show you the knive, start running!
Have to disagree with you. You only need to counter 1 strike at most, then goes your counterattack. That is how it should be.
These videos show basic drills at starter level. Going deeper, additional stuff is added. When we practiced it in Moscow, it usually was like this: guy charging full-speed, making rapid, not-stopping-till-you-don't-make-him strikes. You have to deal with the knife and raw force.
Then this kind of drill - 2 guys with knives and 1 guy with 80-cm high punching bag, trying to kill you, doing as they seem fit. 360 there is as important as immediate crushing counterattack.
After about a year of training it's possible to defend from those quite confidently.
But key point in defending here - you need to take him out, make that fucked-up brain of his stop sending hostile signals to rest of his body.
And you are right, run whenever you can. But sometimes you are out there walking home with your wife and kid.
nkmhc /watch?v=3zUI9NgBRTw
***** i did watch this before. 146% right - grabbing and locking stuff never works with a knife. Attacker hasn't suffered any damage at all, morale still high, willing to fight, he overpowers you and gives you 10-40 stabs. You die.
But if you apply a surprising full-force hit in the face while blocking (which will be more powerful and surprising if he runs towards you), it at least briefly stops the attacker, giving you the chance to run away (or follow-up with a groin kick), or sometimes completely halting his actions. PURE BLOCKING without attack gets you killed anyway.
nkmhc I do have to agree with you on that, it was only the slow movements in the video giving false hope that they can stand an attacker with ease. People watching this will underestimate the attacker and be a victim. An attack is indeed the best defence.
***** It would be better if they went full speed with like a dull training knife.
If u do this kind of drill al day every day ...can become a humanwapon
Wing chun - chit sau
I think this is misleading, I know next to nothing about fighting in general, but I at least know that you're just fucked if an attacker has any sort of sharp or bladed weapon while you're naked. better off keeping your distance and finding some sort of advantage
not true because most people don't even know how to use knife and you can disarm them by the right techniques
Please do not try to disarm an assailant if they jump you. What if they DO know how to use a knife? What if you're tired and slow that day? What if they're 2 feet taller than you? WHAT IF IT'S DARK AND YOU CAN'T SEE? With so many factors that could possibly foul your abilities, whether or not you successfully defend yourself becomes essentially random. You're betting your life on pretty shitty odds if you try to disarm someone. Of course, if it is your only option, then go ahead and try.
I'm still skeptical of the effectiveness of the techniques in this video. The bottom line as I see it is, if someone has a weapon , you're screwed unless you feel like taking A MASSIVELY RISKY bet on your luck and ability to happen to disarm them, and the consequence of failure is DEATH.
+easterislehead they have worked for me my friend came at me with and I was successful able to to disarm him but your right your first option always being run because it's not worth your life and your right he could have friends but sometimes you just don't have a choice
Krav Maga is supposed to be used in military, so you cant really do nothing. Self Defence on streets starts with being careful and never being in a situation like this, but if this happens, its better to know this and have some reflexes for it, than just letting someone kill you. This is not movies, its real life - ANYTHING you do, increases your chances to survive while doing nothing is a 100% death.
They are showing the block per knife strike, there is opening for a counter strike after each block. Then you run.
this is so static I don't like....
It may be static , but it trains muscle memory also.
Benjy Cazals this particular exorcize is static yeah, but you aren't supposed to just keep standing there after blocking the attack
First comment woooo
