I noticed a joke in the pictures. While Luke Cage bought the mansion for $1, Iron Man had to buy it back for $5. Luke is making a killing on that deal, since he quintupled his money.

The young avengers are actually so cool. They assembled to fight kang, yet one of their teammates, iron lad, was actually a past version of kang. its a super weird storyline and i love it
stream iridescence Also the whole storyline with Wiccan and Speed in which Scarlet Witch is technically their mother but they also have other separate bio-moms... and they’re twins but they’re also not related... yeah. It’s hard to wrap your head around, but still really cool storytelling. And I just love how heir team is literally run on “Well we were told no and we don’t like being told no, so...”
My only problem is that the entire lineup is just the regular avengers but… young. Like wow nice creativity there marvel, I’m sure you were very proud of yourselves.

He didnt mention a lot of them tho:US,Occupy,Resistance,Doctor Dooms and Astonishing.And If A-Force counts,shouldnt Ultimates and the new Squadron count to??? They were in the ANAD Avengers promotional material and in the 0 issue.

***** But the New Avengers book is getting turned into the US Avengers with Squirrel Girl,Sunspot,Cannonball,Red Hulk etc. which is basically a relaunch .I don't know if Occupy is going to be an official team but so far I think they confirmed Hawkeye,Red Wolf,White Tiger and Night Thrasher (I'm not sure tho) . I can understand Squadron and Ultimates, but I always counted them as being Avengers team since they were in the 0 issue. I didn't bother to read anything about AXIS except for Superior Iron Man so I wouldn't know about Astonishing Avengers.

@@imkluu Spider-woman was initially on their side, but switched after they found out about elektra being a skrull. It turns out spider-woman was also a skrull, so she actually was never with the new avengers.
Young Avengers is my favorite I think, lots of nice parallels and a good variety of personalities, powers and conflicts. I hope they eventually get brought into the MCU.
The Great Lakes Avengers are more like a C list Superhero group from The Boys rather than an actual Marvel team
West Coast Avengers is my favorite spin-off of the Avengers. Wonder Man is great, and one of the standouts in that title...
this is why I find comics too damn confusing to seriously get into, so many teams and characters and continuity and events. it's like you need a god damn doctorate in Marvel Universe studies just to have a BASIC idea of what in god's name is going on.
I mean that's all you can do really just because of how impossibly vast everything is. The MCU is somewhat more beginner-friendly for that reason considering how recently it started. granted the main films are all expensive and can't be steamed anywhere.... I appreciate the response BTW!

Wait Squirrel Girl is actually powerful? Granted I only seen her tag along side other heroes I always thought she was just a cute character that liked being a hero.
She has a running joke of defeating overpowered Characters Off-screen.
She went 1v1 with Thanos, and beat his ass. We never got to see it though ;)

It would be pretty cool if you did another episode for the Young Avengers and delved deeper into their storylines and characters. That team deserves more love.
It's never simple in comics, even relatively new comics will become complicated as time goes by.
Sometimes I wonder how different the MCU would be if Marvel own everything made by them before starting. Like having the rights to Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four, ect.
Good question.
Its pretty possible that if MCU had rights for everything. We would’ve had Mutants mentioned more often and maybe would have F4 in endgame.
The Pet Avengers have to definitely be my favourite. I usually like the silly choice.

I'm actually already planning on reading up on the West Coast Avengers! If you read the Hawkeye Limited 4-issue Series, you'll get Mockingbird's origin, and that will lead into West Coast Avengers. I recommend the Hawkeye set, actually. It's really good!
I actually LOVED Avengers AI. I may be a bit biased because Vision is my favorite Marvel character... But he had a lot of great character moments, Doombot was absolutely hilarious, and the ever-shifting multi game genera fight between Vision and Dimitrios is one of my favorite moments ever! I don't think it's very "important" on the grand scheme of Marvel as a whole but I thought it was a lot of fun, asks a few interesting questions about what life and humanity are (which are questions central to Vision's character and one of my favorite things explored in his his arcs in many series), had an interesting art style. I found it on the whole enjoyable.
Possibly your best video so far, Drake. I had no idea there were so many teams and it was great to hear the history behind each one plus how any were connected.

Honestly, I think it's because of Doorman. HE'S AMAZING.
To be honest, that seems like a fun superpower to use in creative ways.

My first comic was with the Avengers team, formed in 2010, after the Siege of Asgard. I remember this team having to help Kang defeat Ultron in the future. This story was in issues 1 to 6. After that, the Avengers fought the Hood, who was in possession of the Infinity Stones. This story was in issues 7 to 14. These comics introduced me to John Romita Jr's art, which I like.

Since this video came out 4 years ago: U.S. Avengers happened. The Avengers have also had two new relaunches since “all-new all-different.” Specifically, Avengers vol. 7 & 8. The West Coast Avengers had a revival in 2018 led by the Hawkeyes. Savage Avengers is also a thing that exists, though I’m not sure if it would be considered a “real” Avengers lineup or not.

there is also an unofficial team of teenage heroes who are considered avenger but participated in the comics avenger arena and undercover, they are mainly avenger academy characters, runways, and a few new guys.

Hey Drake, ever think about doing a video about obscure/forgotten Marvel cartoons? If the thought ever enraptures your curiosity, I recommend “The Avengers: United They Stand” show which ran from October 1999 to February of 2000. I recently found it on Disney+ and got really excited because I saw a bit of a random episode years and years ago but had no idea what I was watching. I immediately recognized Wonder Man and the Scarlet Witch’s designs tho.
New Avengers came out before the Mighty Avengers. You also missed the Avengers Initiates that were trained before Secret Invasion

My favourite Avengers team are The New Avengers cause in "Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes", they defeated Kang the Conquer and because they have two of my favourite Marvel Heroes: Spidey and Wolverine.

Am I the only one who wants to see an episode of an animated Avengers cartoon focusing on Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers? Or like an animated movie with them or something? Just the concept of it alone has me sold on the idea
I find it funny that the 1950s avengers all did the same pose with their drink. I also didn't help that like all the guys look almost identical in those frames as well. Also Norman Osborn being the Iron Patriot in the Spider Man cartoon makes much more sense now.

Next avengers. Avengers' kids that exist in the future, often led by tony stark and/or hulk. They fight ultron and kang I believe.
