Can't believe I have to say this, but Storm being worshiped as a goddess because her tribe is an awe of her power doesn't make her a literal goddess.
True, but Hickman retconned her to be an Omega level mutant who not only controls weather, but the earth and natural disasters. Also, she’s been retconned more in recent years to be some sort of reincarnated ancient mutant goddess. Makes no sense.
I mean, War Machine was able to take Ororo down.
Storm is actually OP
If people think that storm is a goddness because people believe she's a goddness then C3PO is a god because the ewoks said so.
Except for maybe tax purposes, because who is gonna go knocking at the door of Thor and asking him for his backowed?

One thing to mention is that in one of the most recent Thor runs there was silhouettes of all the past wielders of the hammers including Superman and Wonder woman. I believe it was in Rule for reflection in Thor: The Worthy.
That's actually really awesome
DC did something similar in Doomsday Clock: at the end of the comic, one character looks into the future and briefly mentions Superman having "a brawl across the universe with Thor himself... and a green behemoth stronger than even Doomsday". The exact panel contains spoilers if you know comics and word balloons, oddly enough, but it calls for the "Secret Crisis" to commence July 10th, 2030. Only ten more years...
The problem I have with that is, Superman isn't actually worthy. Sure, he wields the Hammer briefly during the JLA/Avengers finale, but ONLY because the worthy aspect was temporarily suppressed. Superman drops it at one point, and then goes to pick it back up to give it to Thor, and is unable to. Wonder Woman can pick it up by herself, AND got her outfit transformed by holding it. She is most CERTAINLY Worthy.

Also, brothers appeared for some reason in one of the issues of x-men animated series tie in. Why in tie in? No idea

The only prior crossovers that were definitely canon to DC vs. Marvel were the Spider-Man/Batman and Green Lantern/Silver Surfer crossovers that were published a few months before it.
In fact, the GL/SS crossover served as a prologue to DC vs. Marvel, as it featured the first appearance of Access (specifically the older version, guarding the cardboard box), and established that the destruction of Oa in Green Lantern #0 had created a planet-sized tear in space, which served as a link between the DC and Marvel universes.
The older Marvel/DC crossovers from the '70s and '80s, such as Superman/Spider-Man, were confirmed not to be canon by the authors of DC vs. Marvel within an interview published in Comics Scene magazine around the time DC vs. Marvel came out.
Great time to be a comic book reader. Not only did we get this comic (aka: The Main Event). We got tons of other crossovers. Batman and Spider-Man, Batman vs Punisher (twice!), Darkseid vs Galactus, and more. A lot were better written than the actual Marvel vs DC book.
And that doesn't even include books like Spawn vs Batman (twice!) or Generation X and Gen 13. Get your hands on them in you can!
I've got both of the Batman and Punisher crossovers and they're absolutely fantastic
One hilarious moment I'll never forget from the crossover is Wolverine & Gambit stealing the Batmobile
Best crossover was the X-Men vs The Teen Titans.
Facts
So True. I remember that cover being fantastic.
Yep. With those teams and Chris Claremont, Walter Simonson and Terry Austin as the creative team and Darkseid and Dark Phoenix as the villians it was always the best for me.
I have this entire Marvel versus DC crossover and every single crossover issue that came out with it.
I remember this event and yes it was every bit as awesome as it sounds. I LOVED this crossover event as a kid. It was like something out of our wildest dreams coming true. I think I still have some of the Amalgam issues in my comic stash!

WoW!
Thanks a lot! You made my day
So with the multiverse being so wide and vast, there HAS to be a AU where Marvel and DC characters coexist right? Can you imagine some of the crazy events that has happened in that universe?
LuchaDandy There are a suppressing about of books that cover exactly that. He mentioned them a little in the video. My favorite is New Teen Titans and the X-Men, through Batman and the Hulk is a close second
DC is a multi-multi-multiverse. Since all have been restored and none is destroyed with every crisis (as Dr. Manhattan implied) Crossover Earth still exist somewhere in it.
As for the Amalgam Universe, Marvel stated several times that it was still there and even gave it a designation, however, who knows if it was spared or it has been restored after Secret Wars.
Then again, just like with Earth-1985 and so many more, we can only imagine what happens there.
The Batman/Spider-Man and Batman/Daredevil ones take place in a world coinhabited by DC's & Marvel's characters.
@@OM19_MO79 The Amalgam Universe was condensed into a pocket-dimension contained in the Eye of Agamotto by Doctor Strange in the DC/Marvel All Access crossover.
Funny enough, I write a series of fan-fiction where that does happen. Not only Marvel and DC characters, but also the characters from the 2005 live-action Disney movie, Sky High.
2:27 Death Battle. Aquaman wins.
You’re telling me that Wonder Woman is losing to storm?? No way lol
Superman: We can't fight! We have to let the readers decide so that Marvel and DC won't have to sue each other!
Also, to be fair with the Logan/Lobo fight, they couldn't show how Logan won because there is no possible way for him to win. Lobo has him outclassed in everything but popularity.
Yeah, and that popularity is exactly why Wolverine won.
@@cirrustate8674 Even Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe brings that up. During Deadpool's fight with Wolverine, he says that Logan's power isn't actually regeneration, it's popularity.
@@cirrustate8674 Same thing for Storm Vs wonder woman.
@@wrestlinganime4life288 exactly. That fight should NOT have gone that way.
13:40 They fused the universes together, which exist independent of the Brothers, and they were not happy.
Not quite. A pocket universe was created in All Access to allow them to exist independently. That version is slightly revised, there are some retcons compared to the first week.
Darkclaw was actually one of the first comics I ever read when I was younger after someone probably my grandma found a copy at a garage sale and bought it for me and I still own the issue to this day it was a bit of a weird start
Never sell it rap it in plastic and keep it forever if you want to re read take pictures and read from them that book must be worth hundreds of thousands
Anyone who time skips this video is seriously missing out. This is a great video. Aqua man dropping a killer whale is hardcore as hell.
Storm besting wonder woman just speaks to how insanely popular the xmen were in the 90s. People forget before the mcu, Spider-Man, hulk, and the wolverine were the posterboys for marvel.everyone else was kinda b tiered
I’d love just every few years they should just release an amalgam
Imagine if they just released another one after 25 or so years out of the blue with no advertisement or fanfare whatsoever
0:01 this is the good stuff no need to thank me
Using the term "Goddess" to justify a power level is the most absurd argument possible in power level debates.
Storm and Dark Phoenix are deities in contrast to Diana's abilities; of course power levels mean nothing when even Goku could defeat much powerful opponents
@@unicronsaber4268 Phoenix indeed has feats that are above what normal diana or diana in general can di in most incarnations.
But is storm remotely close to the infinite mass punch her and superman scale to in post crisis? (Large Star to Solar System level)
I mean depends on the story you go by? A goddess on one universe can be the strongest being ever and a goddess in another could be a run of the mill street level threat.

Let's be honest people a fighting game between both Marvel and DC will sell like hell and you know that you want that.
12:28 That's Iceman.
Lets hope that the theories are right and Marvel and Dc are planning a crossover
2:02 I'm Looking at you Dark Nights Metal and Marvel Zombies.
I like Access. I thought the weird time travel shenanigans of the last miniseries, Unlimited Access, was a bit much since I liked the idea of a new guardian between realities popping up every generation over "time displace alternate Axel" but it's a good explanation of why the crossovers happen and then are usually forgotten (JLA/Avengers aside), because it's the job of the Access to keep the two realities apart. Also, Doctor Strangefate is important to that part of the story since it features Access trying to get away from Strangefate's minions as the good(?) doctor tries to keep the Amalgam universe together and is important to "All Access".
7:14, is no one gonna talk about the bugs bunny and twetty bird cameos?
I lost my kid mind when I saw this book on a shelf in the 90's
So DC and Marvel did a crossover and so did Sega and Nintendo (Sonic and Mario at 20XX Olympic games) so where that crossover drink with Coke and Pepsi
My personal favorite crossover was the avengers JLA comic by Kurt busiek and George Perez. I felt like it was written and drawn well and I felt like I got to see a good amount of characters
I like the crossovers where both sides just existed in the same universe. Like Spidey and Bats or Punisher and Bats. Those where good comics.
I remember this so well. I thought it was so cool at the time. It has not aged well, but it's still fun watching Bats and Cap go at it.
Image how cool it would be if amalgam comics was still publishing comics
His hair is genuinely so on point in this video.
This made me want to look into Amalgam more
Was it actually a separate company or something? And what rights do they have 🤔
Hamza Ali separate company as far as I know
All of the right. And I mean that quite literally, considering how much of the comic book industry is owned by the two companies.
When I talked to Dan Slott about including Superboy in Spider-Verse, he said he couldn't include him due to the fact both Marvel and DC co-own the company and currently, neither can include the Amalgam characters in their comics.
Amalgam has always been a fake company, it's just a shared trademark, just like each and every character, story and likenessess. Everything belongs to both Marvel (Disney) and DC (Warner/AT&T). In order to publish anything related, a third party would need the license from both or if any of the parties ever want to make anything, they have to agree the licensing with the other.
Batman vs Captain America my favorite fight.
You know what I want to see? Doc Samson vs Arkham Asylum.
Samson is nearly invulnerable and can probably survive anything Arkham residents throw at him. He's a psychologist who specializes in superheroes and villains. I imagine a psychological horror in which the various games Arkham residents play to avoid their personal demons stop working with Samson around. The focus would not be on Samson but exploring the inner demons of the Arkham patients and how they are tormented by them.
One day will get a real live action Marvel/DC universe. One day! If not, at the very least, an animation tv show or video game crossover. XD
They really need to do another one
Talk about cosmic brothers all you want. I'm sick of hearing about commenters.

Wow, I was totally thinking about this very crossover, and coincidentally, you just posted it about a week ago. Nice.

Lobo the Duck was frickin' AMAZING.
Spider boy was cool
0:48 I like how he pause the video instead of apologizing but said he forgot to mention the sponsor
3:29 Behold ! The true *Iron* Man
Admittedly I was one of the people who got sucked into this crossover. But the more times I read it, the more it ages badly. Probably because the whole event is just a glorified popularity contest in which some of the fights are head scratchers. Another bit I like Claudio Castellini's art which is the reason I got into it.
Years later we got JLA / Avengers which was a huge improvement. Will we ever see an episode on this here?
this was tons of fun
Hey there Comic Drake, great break downs, I love flipping old comic books and sometimes magazines to se the crazy adds that promoted weird stuff, now I'm doing voice overs of my favorite comic books on my channel and every-time when I pick the episode I smile to see the adds before or after the story. Great channel, I have subscribed!
The best thing that came from Marvel Vs DC was Amalgam Comics hands down :)
am waiting for the day disney acquires DC rights and we see the cross over on big screen
It would be interesting to see the two do another crossover, maybe with the fact that event comics now tend to be longer thanks to all the tie in books, they could add more characters to the fight, and flesh out the fights further.
Remembering earlier cross overs. Giant superman vs spiderman was awesome. Peter beats up clark until he breaks his own hands.
I'm glad I bought the physical trade paperback years ago. I'd be down for Iron Lantern again.

I remember seeing the polls in comic book shops, and damn near drooling when that first issue! People today may not appreciate how much we anticipated this storyline, or how frustrating it was to reach the end of an issue only to realize you had to watch a WHOLE MONTH for the next issue! And that went double at the end of #3, when Access fused the two universes together and created the Amalgam Comics line.
I've always been a firm believer that, even back when this crossover first released, that each fight should have been a one-shot issue instead of the 1-3 page bouts that they were.
Imagine marvel studios and dc (disney and warner bros) Doing a movie like that
Some of the cross overs I did not understand why they would have the two go at it. Why not have Iron Batman vs Iron man, or Green Lantern vs Nova at the time.
Batman vs cap is the one people wanted to see because they are physical fighters with weapons. While ironman vs batman makes sense the fight itself wouldn't be as interesting.
@@Raytheman581 Well in that case they should have used Black Panther over Cap since he doesnt have super powers and there both physical fighters.
@@nweditor875 But back then he was even more niche than captain america. I don't know what it is, but cap vs batman is always a thing that just works. Cap and batman even have team up comics and they fought in JLA vs Avengers as well.
@@Raytheman581 I think it was because of how Captain America was really popular still in that time where Black Panther was not as much like he is now.
DC vs. Marvel was cool for what it was, but I can't help but wish it'd been done about 10 years prior, when all of DC and Marvel's characters were still in their classic versions. The fact that it's more short-lived versions like the Ben Reilly Spider-Man, Mullet Superman, hair metal Thor, and harpoon-handed Aquaman kills some of the fun for me.
Amalgam was a lot of fun, though!
