I just got into the hobby this summer after finding my parents’ 70s Yashica. Video is a big help, still not sure if I want to self develop or send off to have it done.. but it looks easy enough!
I'm gonna say it, while I know you probably know about it. Get negative lab pro, it's a huge jump in quality. You get much better color science and you work straight off the raw file. I get results that sometimes surpass my lab at home even with color, it's very worth it!

I’m looking in to practicing self development with black & white film. It should be much easier for beginners
