Aussie here, who had so many happy hours watching this man and the shows that he was in. What a wonderful life he lived! Thank you so much for years of laughter sir, you brightened up so many lives in Australia as well as the rest of the world. What a wonderful legacy to leave to humanity.

Such sad News that Mr Brian Murphy A,KA George Roper has sadly left us. He brought many laughs to us. My favourite was when he became a Traffic Warden. May God Bless Linda Regan and Brian's Family. Rest in Eternal Peace Me Murphy. xxx

I was at Talking Pictures event at St. Albans and Brian Murphy and Linda aragean were giving a talk on the stage. I was amazed that they really cared for each other despite the huge age gap. We were rolling around with laughter. Brilliant well matched couple. RIP Brian we will miss you but we will have happy memories watching the repeats of George and Mildred and man about the house.
