Gary I’d like to know if you was an officer with my great grandfather in Kansas City. His name was Richard Hall.he was an officer 27 years. He was a Sargent in Kansas City at the old bumblebee station. You can also look him up by his name and find his obituary online it may help you put a face to his name! If so I’d love to talk with you about him a bit. Great interview !
Great work Adam, thank you for all the effort, energy and work you put into this. It's shaping up to be THE best Mob channel on the entire RUclips. Keep it up my friend
I listened to this when it first came out, it's 2023 and I am still listening to Gary Jenkins, he has a great show Gangland Wire that everyone should listen to, I remember the Virginia Tavern shooting like yesterday, Adam take care and keep up the good work
Great interview, didn't expect all that knowledge out of a cop, FBI maybe. Btw Corky Civilla spoke with the same type of southern twang, hard to imagine a mafia guy with a drawl.
I lived in NE Kansas City at the time and lived in a building owned by Mr. Civella. The night after Bonadona was whacked. I ran into Floyd Pattison, with Vicki DeStefano who I think was related to Mad Sam DeStefano out of Chicago. We were coming out of Johnnie Greene's place. Knowing my father was a sometimes friend of Mr. Civella. My old man ran a card game in the old Grant Hotel. Pattison tried to question me there in front of Johnnie Greene, I don't know if Johnnie was made but he was an associate for sure. So I told Pattison. He knew my family didn't talk to cops, and just walked off. What was funny was he was in a class of mine at JR. College. I saw him the next day. I didn't know anything but he sure was interested in my relationship with the DeStefano girl.I knew her family was all mobbed up, but it's wise to ask too many questions. What I don't know, I can't This brought back the whole River Quay war again, Virginia Tavern, ate pizza in Villa Capri,it was in the neighborhood, Admiral Hotel. When they blew up the Speros. All of it. Used to steal out of trucks, I knew a place in the garment district that wholesaled Leonardi Strassi sweaters. Those Dagos loved them. Used to sell boosted records to Tiger Carderella. Fighting, running around. Good old days. But I smashed a guy in a fight and hurt the guy real bad and wound up being given a choice prison or service with an honorable discharge. Afterward, I didna want any part of the life as half my friends were doing time, This was no big deal, but listening to this cop it brought back memories.
Gary, is the Kansas City family still active? I heard Cammisano Jr is the top guy. I have also heard that they are defunct. Curious about your thoughts on it. Thanks
Adam, great as always. It's a shame that Frank wasn't here but his interviews with Gary were great years ago. I really appreciate that you and Gary read my comments and reply back to me. Adam have you spoken with FBI legends Joe Pistone and Joaquin (Jack) Garcia? Everyone knows Joe(Donnie Brasco) but Jack also infiltrated the NY Mafia as an Italian known as "Jack Falcone". In reality Joaquin Garcia is Cuban born but played an Italian. I suggested Gary to you and now am asking about Joe and Jack. They would be great guests from the law enforcement side. Joe sounds like a mobster using mob speak and was on last week with Michael Franzese and he sounded like the mobster and not Michael. Thanks Adam!
The last pic was Nick?? Looks like what my grandpa said “ He had one eye fishing and the other one hunting. At that time D-9 cat was the largest you could truck legally on the road.

Mr Jenkins talks about tracking devices he calls beeper s around 22:00....law enforcement put a tracking device in tony spilotro 's younger brother Michael' s automobile ....he accidentally discovered it because his car lacked acceleration and stalled when he would turn a corner and the repair shop he took it to found the tracking device or beeper as Gary Jenkins will call it ...sliding around in the gas line
Thanks Adam and Gary for this interview. I learned a few more things about Kansas City. Hey, I read a book about Jazz in Milwaukee and found out in that book the 3 biggest Jazz cities were Kansas City, Chicago, and New York City. What's the point? Well... I found out in that book all the Jazz clubs in downtown Milwaukee were owned by the local mafia. The Jazz clubs on the East Side too (but presumably not on the South Side nor in Bronzeville). If that were the case in Milwaukee my presumption is the mafia ran the Jazz clubs in KC, Chicago, and NYC especially since those 3 were the largest Jazz scenes.
@@mobvlog3156, you might consider doing an episode one day on the Chicago Outfit's role in the Chicago Jazz scene. Back when Jazz was a big thing. Likewise, Gary might consider doing an episode on his channel or this one on the KC mafia's involvement in the Jazz clubs of Kansas City.
@BrewCity 2 I will do some research into it and see if I can find someone who has some insight...happen to know of anyone? Someone you would like to see me interview?
@@mobvlog3156 , wish I could be of more help Adam. I'm so far removed intellectually from music. But! due to that book and some other prior knowledge I do have a few limited ideas where an investigator can start. #1 Chicago had and has an old black neighborhood called Bronzeville just as Milwaukee did (kind of half-a__ still does). The Bronziville neighborhoods were FULL of Jazz clubs. These clubs had set Jazz crews and DANCERS that performed nightly. Also, these Jazz performers often traveled nationally or either rubbed elbows with the famous Jazz artists that traveled nationally. The dancers too. Dancers were big parts of the act. I bring this up in part because although the South Side Jazz clubs in Milwaukee supposedly NEVER or rarely booked black Jazz artists, the mafia own Jazz clubs downtown DID. One black Jazz player when asked if he knew or met mobsters said of course due to the fact they owned all the Jazz clubs downtown. So, it's relevant to Chicago and KC because I imagine in both those cities the mafia hold on Jazz clubs were twice or three times greater (I would think). Bronzeville Jazz schools or lounges, or old dance schools in Chicago might give you some names or point you in the right direction. There was some mingling between some Jazz artists in Chicago and Milwaukee. So, possibly the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music in Milwaukee, with their old Jazz program there might have an old school jazz artists that could give you a name in Chicago to contact. Maybe. That Conservatory Jazz program had some old school Jazz players teaching at it, that lived through the era when Jazz was popular. But if you can find some dancers that would be helpful, even if they were on the "Chitlin Circuit." I would have you call Satin Doll in Milwaukee but she is dead now and her old lounge of the same name is closed and in shambles. She claims the old Jazz song Satin Doll was named after her personally, she danced for that famous Jazz artists and traveled the country. I can only imagine she danced in mafia Jazz clubs in NYC and Chicago--but that is a guess of mine.
I suppose these guys don't wish to share secrets behind current investigations but I would like to hear some current FBI and OC experts talk about the modern day Hispanic gangs and Cartel operations. Maybe you guys could find a recent retiree who could share with us.

New York guys kinda put Vegas on the back burner because Things in Cuba were moving and shaking. Cuba was the mobs dream to have a gambling Mecca not on US soil away from everything. They could do whatever they wanted when Batista was in power so they went ALL IN
