So funny all of the suggestions on how these folks should do things.. I deal with the same thing where I work cleaning apartment buildings. Funny thing is most of the people suggesting how I should do my job are unemployed.
I've found when removing stains and mildew on campers to spray bleach mixed with water first before pressure washing about 30 minutes soaking helps so much with the cleaning .
Just watched Part 1 and now Part 2, a year late. 😄 Of course there isn't any audio ((I appreciate that) but, body language speaks loudly and I don't see any negative body language. You two are a great team with a lot of good skills. I'm not going to offer advice because it would be a year late, I'm not there and I'm not doing any of the work. That little trailer is going to be a gem, and of course, by now is.
Well, ow we know how to power wash a trailer. Your first video was great, but you stopped after #2. There are a lot of us waiting for your next videos!! Don’t leave us hanging, please!!
Thanks for parts one, and two! I'm good with everything you've done, up until 26m into part two, the patches need a "weep hole", caulking the bottom, creates a dam, the dam, hold's water in. Any water that penetrates the top caulking, needs a means of escape. Just trying to help, keep up the good work!
Just found your videos. You guys are great! Cleanup is half the battle! I envy you your youthful energy. This trailer is going to look great when it's done. Butyl tape is your friend. I was astonished at the layers and layers of flooring you had to take up. Keep plugging away at it - it will be worth it! Waiting for part 3!
wowww quel beau travail! vous etes beaux!!! je m'apprete a retaper mon vieux vr 1985. les paiements sont terminés alors go les rénos.... vous etes formidables je vais aller voir toutes vos post! merci!
I can't wait till the next video I'm getting ready to do a motorhome and I'm watching videos to get ideas that will help me out with it good job so far good luck with the rest
Great video and looking forward to more! I have a 1969 Apache Cimarron 21’ and it’s not a pop up. They made them for a few years. Pretty rare and hard to find info on the internet but they are around. I’ve had it for years and now it’s time to get to the repairs it needs. This is very helpful.
We have a older camper with no a.c. so we bought a portable a.c. unit it's a very good alternative for the camper , it comes with a hose something like a dryer hose but more durable and a metal attachment to vent it out of a window and it doesn't have any water drainage so it works great and we have seen people place window units in campers but then you have to worry about leaks and it sticking out farther than the camper , just a thought for y'all to think about
Awesome so far. I recently acquired a Bonanza Traveler a 21 footer I believe from the mid 70's or so. it has the same basic shape as your concord and the exact same corner moldings on the outside corners. lots of water damage, lots of work and loads of fun.
It is a lot of hard work! Take lots of before pictures so you can stay motivated! Sometimes you don’t realize how much progress you’ve made until you look back at where you started.
@@KatieAndAri that is true I had one almost like this one gave to me the old man said it was built in. 72 or 73 with water damage I didn’t have a lot of money I think I spent maybe $1,200 or 1,300 I used Materials that was gave me the most I spent was Solar panels in they were used but they work the funny part was I had to bull the old camper 40 miles back home with my 1999 Ford Taurus it struggled but it made it I have a old 2010 Ford crown Victoria cop car it pulls it mush better it’s the memories hard work fixing it but well worth it
The only fun part about power washing is power washing watching power washing is like watching paint dry LOL. Great video takes dedication to put your work on video has a lot of extra steps I appreciate your effort
Doing linger strokes saves you time and your muscles, as opposed to going back and forth quickly but only tackling a couple inches as opposed to your most convenient and productive range of motion with. Just q thought to cut down on a lot of time pressure washing. Yall both do a great job, you enjoy it so much more when you do the work yourself
Chatty chitty bang bang started out as a rough jalopy and with a lot of work came out ta have a lot of adventure keep at it enjoy watching the progress
I'd have washed the exterior by hand sure it would've took way longer but it saves pushing water into seams joints with pressure of water doing a very nice job of cleaning the exterior and interior 👍👍
Any new updates on this build? My mom and dad had one of these campers in the Poconos for years. They demoed it right on the spot. There's been a couple new campers on that spot since. My sister owns the lot now. The spot and whatever camper on that spot will probably always be in the families hands.
Just think you both are making a great investment in fixing and renovating this trailer! Best part is once you are done, you both can live in it full time and pay no more apartment rents or mortgage. Plus you can travel the world!! With this COVID pandemic, people being evicted or stressed from working around the clock to pay rising apartment rents or mortgages, many individuals are looking at other places to live like tiny homes, van life or living in trailers. Many families are moving into schoolies now during this COVID pandemic.
Should have pressure washed first in case there are leaks. Then you wouldn’t have to worry about water getting inside and having to be cleaned up after you put in all the new flooring, etc. I did pressure washing for a living, I could have stripped that whole trailer in 15 minutes and it would have looked brand new. You did do a descent job though. That clean up almost looked like it was too much work; nature of the beast refurbing anything. Good video!
Since rent prices in the Country seem to keep climbing higher and higher, buying these old campers for a few hundred and modernizing them, makes a lot of sense. To rent a spot in a camper grounds runs around $300 a month including water and power. Would rather pay $300 for the same size space as that camper, you get in these $1800 1 bed apartments.
Love your work guys. Do you have any footage of repairing the walls and ceiling? Love to see that more than you know. I have a 73 dodge concord I need to fix 😬😜
Here's what no contractor said to me about this old trailer: I'd like for you to know that we didn't insulate the trailer's entire floor. We didn't use flex seal rubber for insulation.
Just watched this getting prepped to go my own and my begin getting is looking slit the same as yours. Question did you decide to rewire anything ? Did you keep the heating unit or cooler or did you change everything? 😊
Love this! Would yall be open to making playlists for the video series that yall have so its easier to find things? Like a play list for vlogs, playlist for renovation stuff, ect?
I’m in the same boat right now, I just bought a camper that’s ruined, and I want to rebuild it like u guys did, do u have an estimate on how much u guys spent on wood and things like that
I mean, you don't really want to get bleach in the ground otherwise if reported they can face fines and have to pay for clean up. I would much rather take the power washer approach.
@@Derpingtonshere a little bit of bleach water will get neutralized by the sun. It also does not bother the grass or plants unless you use lots of bleach and little water. Or you can buy the watered down plant safe chlorine at Home Depot and just let it dwell longer. Just power wash will not kill the algae. It will come right back.
@@mikeholtorf3456 Oh I agree, but depending where they live they are very strict. We used a very little bleach and water to clean a boat and we had to pay to get it "Professionally cleaned". I'm not saying don't do it I am saying be careful someone doesn't find out about it.
If you can restore them 100% restore because windows like that are VERY VERY VERY expensive because they are "Vintage" Even ones in crappy shape you can get around $100 for depending on the window.
We do them when we can! Working on it, filming, editing, and uploading is a long process especially since we have real life and jobs outside of this hobby. 🖤

Facts 😂😂😂
That power washer gave me life. I can't believe how clean it got that 40-something year old camper.
I don’t know why I enjoyed watching all the power washing, but I did. Thank you 🤗
Love this stuff! The woman's pressure washing and his caulking techniques were driving my OCD painter self crazy!!! LOL
I sat here drooling how satisfying it was to see the pressure washer do its thing haha. It looked 100 times better just from that wash!
The trailer is starting to look great. Can't wait for th next one . I know I'm behind times, but I just started watching all these.
It looks so much better ,y'all are hard workers .
Want to see more of the camper being fixed enjoyed it

We watched from Brazil, from the city of São Paulo, good luck around the trailer!
Such hard working young couple. It will be a nice home when finished.
Looking GREAT. Can't wait to watch the next chapter. This is a real labor of love (Like our Skoolie Build!)
Great work. Hope to see a part 3

You two have a great work ethic. Way to go bringing new life to a sweet old trailer. It’s really in good shape for 50.

And I commented a minute before that was done. Ha!

Is there a part 3? I have a similar build and wondered if you sealed the inside walls from having tiny leaks or removed the windows and resealed...
Love watching the awesome restoration. Amazing job

They also sell the attachments for camper/rv's so no need to use it in the window. Just cut a square to size and it fits right in.
Wanted to see how you covered the tires when you were doing the floor in the last video. Part 2, you enter and they already done.

More power washing please! Maybe some paint drying?
Is there a part 3???
Great Job
It needs to be completely renovated ,because the wood is looks old, the entire floor
Should have put the butyl tape under the edge of the patches otherwise the rain will seep in under the edges
dommage nous n'avons pas trouvé les part 3 et autres....
I am a simple man, I hear squeaky voice randomly in video, I laugh. I dunno why, I just do.
Old beauty already to work on. All it these usually need is a bath and new windows.
a lot more than that
