Very informative video. Im going from Dublin to Melbourne in January with the Doh-Mel leg in rear facing Q suite. I've never travelled facing backwards before. You're the only reviewer I've seen mentioning the restricted leg space.
I’m sure it won’t ruin the experience but the legroom was notable compared to a few other business class flights I’ve done recently. Hope you have a great flight and a great time in Melbourne!
Great footage, you gave a fantastic insight into exactly what the QR business class is like. Out of interest, if you're saying it's not the best business class in the sky, which airline(s) do you think are better?
It’s probably the best in the world in some circumstances, especially on a daytime or solo flight. But I’d pick Finnair or even Qatar’s 787 business class for an overnight.
It might be heresy to say this, but for a solo traveller, I think the BA Club Suite hard product is better. But as you said, the food is the best, and it’s a far more sociable seat when traveling with others.

I ,loved the way those seats enabled good couple seating. Looks far better than I’ve seen on say BA’s newer seats.
Yes 100x more social and better for couples than BA’s Club Suites. Old style club Europe had good seats for couples though!
Another excellent review. Thanks
Thanks!
You get the amenity kit bag flying outbound from Doha, and you get the box flying inbound to Doha.
That explains why we got a bag on our following flight! Thanks!

@@charlesontravels You'd take Finnair over this? :D Never heard anyone mentioning Finnair ahead of the Q-Suite

I’m flying Club Suite again in a couple of days for the first time in a while so it’ll be interesting to see how I find it after experiencing QSuite.
Did you use pay with cash or avios? And how much was it?
I used avios. NCL-DOH-DPS (Bali), one way 80k avios + £390 each.
