  • It’s time once again to return to Guild Wars 2, minute lore! In this video we are going to take a look at the Flame Legion. The flame legion is often considered to be the villain faction of the charr, back in the early days of Guild Wars 1 they were the tyrannical leaders of all charr. Doing so by force and deceiving the others, which would eventually get exposed in spectacular fashion!

Guild Wars has such great lore behind the scenes that can be discovered while playing, but the extra depth of these videos gives players like me who might miss out on some of that great lore able to understand what they missed.
I could watch this kind of content everyday.

That's one reason why I started making these lore videos. There is so much great lore that is often really easy to miss out on

HiEvan, I'm, not sure if you're lpanning to do this but I have finally finish EOD story and I noticed that there are so many factions and the story doesn't really explain their background, or maybe I did not read much and click next. I was wondering if you could make a video of all this factions from Cantha. Like Kestrels, Speakers, Luxons, Canthans, Brotherhood, Xunlai Jade, Kurzicks, and more.

I've been keeping a list of the factions and topics to cover in lore videos, and I do have a few of those on the list. You're right though the story seems to just skip over explaining the significance of some of these groups

Since i didn't play GW1 i thought the flame legion was just a bunch of "chumps" whom really like fire and that Efram was the ONE guy who tried to chill it all out a bit. I love mentions of any female charr lore too because they are either immense badasses or super nerds leaving the males as the in-between of the race.

You mentioned the Claw of the Khan-Ur, but not that Queen Jennah had a team sent to find and retrieve it from the ruins of Ascalon City. The expedition was successful and the Claw was presented to the Iron Legion Imperator, Smodur the Unflinching, helping secure the peace treaty between the charr and humans. This was in the year before the player character's adventures in Guild Wars 2 begin. I guess it's more of a side note related to the Flame Legion due to it just being about the artifact, but it's still interesting. You can see the Claw in Smodur's office in the Black Citadel.

only would mention that Baelfire was in the shaman court since the beginning (he is very old) and that Efram was part of Baelfires shaman court (maybe he was from the ones before Baelfire also a part of it, but we don´t know that)

I subbed for the lore vids. Been lookin for somethin like this for a long time. I even tried makin my own channel to do it myself then realized, im still a newb and dont have any useful info to share.
I might be the minority but i also am completely ok with longer form vids. Usually turn these on and listen in bed and it helps to not have to scroll every 2 minutes for another. If you prefer it that way though, do your thing.
