I like how the shoe bill is so calm and respectful, and whatever that chatter is with the beak is cute as heck. The shoe bill kind of reminds me of a guardian. Seems so intelligent, and smart. The bowing is so respectful, but i don't quite understand what the headshaking means, but it is cute just the same.
Ironically they are also fairly docile too. For a scary looking modern Dinosaur it prefers to just chill and even doesn't mind human company. now casorwary's on the other hand. Damn birds are territorial modern Raptors who just happens to like fruit but decided to keep the raptor talons to kick and slice up anyone too stupid to get near them.
And THIS is the reason i have studied birds for the past 30yrs. And have worked "hands on" with everything from Warblers to Birds of Prey and Budgies to Macaws. What a beautiful interaction between this gentleman and that stork. They never cease too amaze me with there antics. Also, HIGHLY formidable predators you'd have to be with a beak shaped as they have.

This is by far my favorite bird, I do wonder if it can fly or is flightless though. Beautiful creature, almost looks fake standing still. And its call is crazy cool scary to hear. The way it greets and acts is like royalty. Just a proud, polite bird

I don’t know what the bird is trying to convey when they bow. However if I ever meet one of them and they bow I will bow back
generally, they see and do it in a sign of respect, so you've got the right idea: if it bows, bow back
