I prefer to have UI icon with keybinds shown, often what happens is there is keybinds for os then for apps i use , there are lot of keybinds on both sides then there are commands , so it's quit a lot of learning curve but always end up efficient if you remember all or have a manual to go back in case you forgot but it's hindrance if we keep forgetting or using it while doing critical stuff and lagging behind cuz we spent time catching up to the binds then whatever we were using the system to solve the problem we had in first place😅
My mind was blown when I figured out WMs existed. Like… for me they’re the best thing in the universe. To each their own though, it could be because I really love change, so anything different would feel better than what I have.

I just loaded this on one of my primary systems. So it will be used daily! Thank you so much. I decided to try BTRFS with compression. I set compression during the install process, but it didn't update the /etc/fstab I will do it manually but you might want to check the build script.
Thank yo for the comment! very glad to hear you would be daily driving this :) As far as the filesystem, that option is from archinstall script which is not written or maintained by me so unfortunately I will not be able to assist with that feedback. With that said, that install script is fairly new and the Arch team is always updating it so its possible a fix for this would be in sometime soon. Love this, thank you very much. I have managed a couple of changes to the waybar; changing the clock to my personal preference wasn't too difficult however I am stumped on the weather python script. Being in UK we have for many years used Centigrade, but the weather shows Fahrenheit, which hardly anyone except USA uses anymore. Similarly the CPU temperature, which I actually managed to change to Centigrade.
Yo bro, thanks for the video. I started used Arch Linux a few months and i configure qtile. But i would configure other window manager and i think hyprland and you sharing this knowledge. Big thanks love!

Yeah, you have to go into that config file and basically remove the lines giving you conflicts. There will be a few more, essentially anything that has a blur parameter in that section.
I installed hyper this afternoon but I will definitely try your config on my EndeavorOS tomorrow
Hello and thank you for the comment. I would be interested to know how well the config files worked so if you can please drop me a line, I would appreciate it. WM's are not my thing. I prefer a desktop. Currently it's KDE. Key bindings I tried them, but I just prefer the mouse.
Hello, You are correct its a very different experience between a full blown DE and a WM. It does take time to get used to and honestly its not for everyone. I appreciate your comment and thank you for watching!
Ubuntu user vibes

That is an excellent question, I tried sddm (clean and git) and gdm but I ended up with an odd black screen on logout with blinking cursor that I couldn't resolve. From what I can tell its a bad TTY switching but since I couldn't figure it out I decided to leave that out of this build as I didnt want to pass that possible problem to anyone following the video that may have a similar setup as mine.

Can I install this configuration on Ubuntu or Debian based distros!
Hello and thank you for the question. My script is geared toward Arch so if you want to get this working on anything else you will need to install the necessary packages by hand and once that is complete you can use the script to have it copy the config. With that said, please note that the script does run other commands that may not work on other distros so you may want to review it before you execute, also.. make sure you have a good backup just in case :) thank you for watching!

Great video, sorry if I messed with the algorithm by watching in 1.5x speed, I'm in a bit of a time crunch. Just wanted to advise that the boot menu isn't always accessed by holding esc key when powering on. This point could cause some confusion for some users without some kind of disclaimer in the video or someplace easily visible to them. I for one have 3 machines, my main uses esc, my secondary uses f12 and my third (which i barely use) takes f2 for the boot menu.
