  • I want to sell my car,so i fix minor stuff to sell a good car for the next owner.
    Je veux vendre ma voiture,alors je répare des problèmes mineurs pour le futur propriétaire.

    You are a honorable man, fixing all the important faults.
    There are a lot of people that sell a dangerous vehicle and don't care about the human :-(
    The under side looks fine, a bit of light surface rust only.
    The weather has been loverly, i can't be in the u.k lol :-D

      Yes just a bit of surface rust on the bottom of the fenders,where the mud and gravels hit the body.
      I'm taking care of that in the second part i'm filming.
      it was and still is quite hot and very sunny,that 's good to be outside,except after the few storms we got,it's too humid and sticky.
      You have crappy weather or usual crappy weather for the UK ?

      @@michaelovitch The weather is lovely, but I'm used to rain rain and more rain Ha ha 😀
      Typical british, never happy lol.
      Yes we have had a few storms/lightning.
      Fender rust is too common, and the bottom of the doors hold the rain water because the window seals are crap and the drain holes are semi blocked.
      Mostly old cars with worn out window rubber seals.
      Sorry I'm Moaning about things again lol :-D.

      @@zx8401ztv I just unbolted the bottom of the fenders,it's about ok,it's still strong.
      I'm lucky ,but water is dripping under it non stop since two days at least lol
      it doesn't rain however since monday haha

      @@michaelovitch Ahh now i know why we get rain on Mondays,
      it's your rain lol.
      If it's not rain, it's a Bank Holiday and i always forget.
      So post offices and banks are closed.
      I hope you get the money you want for the car.
      It's a well made car.

    Good job. I have the same car, and same color, but with C2J 1.4 ccm engine. I enjoy driving this car every day in 2023 . I've driven over 800.000 km with it and it's still indestructvle. He lacks a lot of power, but i forgive him for working economocally. If I find a cheap 1 4 turbo engine for a Renault 5, I will install it in mine Renault 21

    Thats now what we wanted to see, lately i changed head gasket and rebuild cylinder head in my B18FT powdered Clio using Your video from the past😥

      @@michaelovitch clio with this engine its rather fast to begin with😅 it was blown to water galery so it has to be changed... It was literally drinking a lot of coolant😥 love it, can't think about selling it 🙆

    Salut. ça va faire un pincement au coeur de voir partir cette vaillante Renault 21 que tu auras conduite pendant des années. On l'aura vue longtemps sur ta chaine. Mais je pense qu'elle fera le bonheur d'un acheteur amateur de bonnes vieilles mécaniques, d'un temps où on mettait les mains dedans sans trop de problèmes. C'est une voiture avec les avantages de sa construction simple, son carburateur etc... avec les inconvénients aussi. Mais il y a on nombre d'amateurs pour les voitures de cette époque. Je pense que tu trouveras preneur sans problème en mettant une annonce qui détaille les opérations d'entretien récentes. La cote de ces voitures classiques est bien remontée récemment. D'après le site ressource en anciennes qu'est ClassicTrends, la cote moyenne s'établit vers 3000 €. Je pense que tu ne dois pas dévaluer ton travail dessus, et mettre un tarif convenable, tu peux placer 1900-2000€ avant négociation par exemple, mais 1000 € c'est trop bas. En espérant encore une ou deux vidéos intéressantes dessus. Bonne chance pour la vente !

      Merci bien, je ne pensais pas du tout que c'était autant coté,je vais viser un prix plus élevé alors.

      The 2.0 is a big ass engine here ,it's quite rare.

    Always like to see normal maintenance and care for the car. Too bad you're selling it. I had to replace the oil pan gasket on my '02 Scenic last week and had to move the whole subframe just to get it out. I hate how that car is put together... :D

      They are put together easily in factories : the sub frame and engines arrive by under as a package.
      They are not meant to be maintained lol
      Even my renault 21 is like this,you are supposed to remove the subframe to remove the gearbox ,i cheated by sliding it on the side to work on the clutch.
      Easy to assemble until you maintain it,but since it's at the customer's expense it's not a problem lol

      I don't really know,
      There are prices all over the place for gas engines versions here, looks like the fact the car passed inspection or not make its price double or triple.
      I think 1000 euros maximum with inspection passed seems honest to sell it relatively fast.
      I still need to search more to price it,if you have any idea or sources to establish a value,please tell me.
      It's a car wich had a huge second life by being exported a lot in Africa but in Diesel versions,i even got a guy letting me his card to buy it just for that.
      Nowadays you have late 80's and 90's cars prices going up,they are "collectible"

      @@michaelovitch Got one 2000 Seat Cordo a which Ibparted ways with and it was sent to Ghana. 1.9 TDI AGR. Probably the most reliable small diesel engine there is. Better than earlier AHU since oil pump is not driven by auxiliary axle, which will spin its bearings at around 550-700k if not replaced.

      @@rkan2 I looked at it to buy for some time.
      I thought they were in the lupos wich have aluminium body panels,wich make a cool set up.

      @@michaelovitch I think only Lupo 3L had aluminium panels. These days might as well buy the Audi A2, which had whole body made from alu. The 1.7 SDI in the lupo indeed shared the 1.9 block of the AHU.

      @@rkan2 Yes,there should be all the removable panels made of aluminium in my opinion.
      I don't know if you would have corrosion since they are bolted with steel,but it would save a lot of weight.

      Bonjour,
      Oui il faut faire vraiment attention à ça.
      La couche était très fine,on ne voit pas bien dans la vidéo,j'ai étalé au maximum,,et attendu 24 heures avant de mettre l'huile.
