Thanks so much for this! As a beginner guitarist trying to learn one of my favourite songs - this means a lot!
@GKWW Go ahead and watch my cover, starting at ~1:35 - watch?v=Ai1_DvHq2Ng or just listen to the song...you'll be able to hear the accents.
It's basically:
C#m: down Down, down, up (mute strings right after this up stroke and switch to B chord)
B: UP, up, DOWN, up, down, up, down, DOWN, down, up (mute strings right after this up stroke and switch to A chord)
A: UP, up, down, up down up
(Caps represent slight accents)
HOPE this HELPS!

This is great! Thank you!! I've always loved this song, and I am recently picking the guitar back up (I've messed around with it very little off and on for probably the last 15 years) and I am wanting to play this song so badly!! You're making this easy to learn and I really appreciate you for it. Now it's just gonna take some practice on my part haha
Glad you're getting back into it! Thanks for watching and your kind words! I made this back when I was in college so it's kinda weird for me to watch now haha.
Great Job! Love this song, and this vid is making it a ton easier to play!
Wow, thank you so much! [: This was so incredibly helpful. I really needed to know how the strum pattern went, so I watched this, and I got it! You're fantastic [: Keep it up!
@happysoul6 You mean for the C#m, B, and A chords, right?
*Letters in BOLD denote accents with the pick/strum:
Ok here goes:
C#m: down, DOWN, down up (palm mute)
B: up, up, down, up, down, up, down, DOWN, down, up,
A: UP, up, down, up, down, up, (repeat)
I hope this helps...you might also want to check out some of their live performances as well.
Thanks for watching and commenting!

@FastWieJesus You're welcome!
Glad to help!

@FastWieJesus Yeah I mute the top (low) E string. It just sounds cleaner and plus you hear the bass notes better on the A string.
thanks for uploading this,this helps me a lot coz i'm learning to play guitar and I would like to learn Anberlin songs coz I love the band. Could you also make tutorial vids using bass guitar? I would like to learn Godspeed,feelgooddrag and love song by Anberlin on Bass..please I would appreciate it,i find easier to play Bass than rhythm guitar so please make a video.('',)
Thanks a lot :)
Hero of my day!
Could you do Anberlin's a day late acoustic??
@akintomeatloaf sorry man i meant tutorial cause i actually watched your cover and now i want to learn it
@IVlontage Hey you're very welcome! I sincerely hope you and your youth band do well!

8:05 I can't figure out what's the strumming pattern on that part.
lmao im making a video mom.. or dad.. hahaha wow but thanks man i got this right away after watching you play it a few times thanks for the help!
@Inkismydrug I'm so sorry!!!
I've actually heard it from both ends - another person told me that I needed to speed up my tutorials and that everyone knows the fundamentals...so I guess it's all a matter of opinion and where you guys are coming from.
Again, I'm sorry that I moved too fast for you - thank you so much for commenting and subscribing though!

Would u mind labeling the strumming pattern for each chord??
All I got now is the first chord going down, down, down,up...
I'm really bad at figuring out the strumming pattern :P
Ahhh thank you :)!
could you please make a cover for cadence in acoustic...or electric either one lol PLEASE!!!!
Sorry about that!
I deleted the annotation, and thanks for watching!
@Music321Freak
4 words: You are very welcome!

Do you mute the E-String while strumming the chords?
could you do a tutorial of breathe by anberlin?
Would it be ok if i tab this out if i credit you?
What thickness of pick do you use to strum this?
@fledge31 Thanks a lot, and thanks for watching!

Hey man, just trying this now but at 2:54 you say the last note is 1st finger on B string 4th fret. But it is infact the G string 4th fret that you play?
do you have a copy of the tabs for this song or something?
What's the strum pattern for the chords at 7:08?
make that area you click for the next video, its a pain in the ass to pause the video for a break and then it takes you to the next video and you have to go back
2 words... Thank You XD
it looks like all the chords you're playing are suspended 2nds
@kmcarr4 Here's my electric cover: watch?v=sSsSNpH71p0

you really need to show some chords or tabs on screen because its a bit hard to follow you.
great tutorial.... but i HATE you for making it go to your channel if you click the vid. literally did it 20 times
