Railfanning the Stockton Diamonds - 2023

I've always wanted to visit the double main line railroad diamonds up in Stockton, CA. The BNSF Stockton Sub intersects Union Pacific's Fresno Sub just South of downtown Stockton at the last remaining double main line diamond on the West Coast. That rhythmic "clickety clack" sound of the wheels pounding the diamond is always cool to hear!
I read an article stating they are planning to grade separate the two railroads and start construction in Spring 2024 to get rid of the diamond. It would be a similar set up to how West Colton flyover is now once finished. That being said I wanted to get up there asap and shoot some video before that process starts.
Amtrak San Joaquin, ACE, BNSF, and Union Pacific trains can be seen traversing the diamond on a daily basis. Besides the Diamond, another cool feature to this area is the amount of crossings in a row on both subdivisions! Definitely a dual "Horn Alley."

UP 3073 is a perfect example of what CDTX 6962 would sound like if all the horn chimes were replaced
