Really digging these lettering videos! They’ve inspired me to give it a shot. Physical paper for now. But hopefully an iPad after I graduate next winter.
Will, this is the kind of video I enjoy the most! Without necessarily aiming to do it, you have shown several features of the iPad and of Procreate (which is something I've been looking into), while working on something that has effective market application: handlettering. Very cool, congrats and keep up the good work! God bless
i got me a ipad fro xmas... after fiddling around for a while with procreate, fresco and illustrator...i have to say for me as a illustrator only guy i think the illustratrator app is the easiest, its very simmilar to the desktop version... i really struggle with hand drawing in fresco and procreate, im so used to illustrator and my mouse my hand lines are horrible hahaha... but the brushes are very awesome im slowly getting into it but i think this needs alot of practice to draw and do calligraphi with the hand...
Amazing thank you 🙏 I notices I can hear the sound of a pencil as if you were writing on actual paper 😃 I can see a plastic layer on the surface. If I could now what is call that would be great 👍 Thanks! Much appreciated. Great tutorial and lettering👍✅👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌
Love Procreate. I used it to make my channel logo, all the “brand logos” I have (for lack of a better term for them), all my thumbnails, and even to make original lyric videos. Meticulously. Because somehow there’s no lyric video maker app.
Will, I am new here, and I asked the same question to many other RUclipsr's doing hand lettering but Noone gave any response I hope you will read this and give me some answer Please So, the question is that I want to buy a new iPad and a pen and I don't have enough budget for an iPad pro So Can you tell me which iPad should I buy also the pen for the best hand lettering???
On your shop, the brushes cost 10$. But doesnt say what you get for it. How many brushes and what sort of brushes. So it is a sort of gamble to buy them now.
Prada Brad you can download a picture of the grid, make a new layer in Procreate, add a photo=your grid, lower the opacity of that layer, and when you make a new layer for your writing, you can just turn off the grid layer or delete it when you`re finished. Hope it helps! :)
playandrepeat I did it by downloading a photo of this grid, made a new layer in Procreate, added a photo of the grid on that layer(scaled it as needed) and lowered the opacity. Then you can just turn the layer off or delete it at the end. Hope it makes sense and could help! :)
@@artsAdela There's an easier way I found just FYI. Just turn on "drawing guide" under "canvas" and you can customize a grid that you can instantly turn on and off. And it doesn't take up a layer :)
@@willpatersondesign thanks for always replying dude shouldve hit 1 million long ago your work and sincerity to the design community I mean the simple thing on to create the brush or how you said "You guys can buy the brush from me or download it from free from someone else" dude you deserve every bit of success you get it kinda baffles that the channel still not to 1 million. Props to you man!
Has anyone ever told you that you sound like Tom Hardy?

I am a beginner and you already lost me at creating the 3 guides. For some reason I can't get straight lines... :( You are not thinking for the beginner I guess. That is a shame.
Hope you guys enjoy the video!
Hey Will I bought your burgers but I download it and now what?
I appreciate your patience in creating, especially with trial and error lines. Really validates my process 😄
I'm scared, He has a compass next to his iPad.
This it probably the most satisfying thing I’ve ever seen

Practice makes perfect!
Loved the video! It would be cool to see you do longer videos that go more in depth on shadows and highlights, and backgrounds for hand lettering.

Simple, yet effective!
Thanks a lot Will, this type of video help beginers like me alot. I can practice easier. I am very grateful if you do more videos like this

Love the new content mate. Wanna get started doing some lettering so your channel is great for tips and tricks
Can you do a tutorial on how to add text and lettering to your work/art?
Cheers!
Nice work, Will! Love the drive

What screen protector do you recommend?

Nice video! Makes wanna try it!
Awesome tutorial! Keep up the great work
do you have a screen protector on ?
This made sense. Thanks.
Great stuff man!
Will this one of those videos for which I subscribed :) Thanks
How tf did you get your brush to be so filled, yet also aerated at the same time, where it is completely dark, then like a brush?
Great video!
Very cool!
Thank you!
Very nice 👍
Useful!

My Lettering brushes Link doesnt work😢
How do you obtain that grid back ground , and how to make it disappear when done

Theres a setting for the grid under the export area goto canvas and turn on grid
Is it IPad Pro 11 or 12,9?
Can anyone tell me how to add a grid like that?

Thank you! That means the world to me! I hope to hit a million some day! You'll be the first I thank for all of the support!
I'm a newb, is there a video for photoshop?
I'm trying to follow. but you're moving way too fast, it's hard to keep up, pause, rewind and actually see whats going on

I had to watch another video on how to make perfect shapes in procreate. Do that and the rest will fall into place I promise!
Where did you get stuck?
When you draw a line hold the pencil in place for a second and the line will automatically become straight.
The glare from the screen is distracting
