Christine I love all your tutorials. So you are ok with people making the designs? I looking for a at home business and I live amongst one of the riches County's in the United States! I would have no trouble selling these here!! Ty. Let me know❤😊❤
@kathymcguire8287 yes Kathy. You are welcome to use any designs you find on my channel. I hope you have great success 😀
I have watched so many videos about how to add zippers to pouches without rounded corners at the end and I think it has finally clicked! thank you!!
That's wonderful Steph. Thank you😀
Your tutorials are really great, so clear, no music ! Always practical, I have now adopted your zipper tab method it’s so much easier. I have been a maker for many decades, mainly clothes maker and soft furnishing, curtains etc and of course bags ! there has always been people who have asked me to make things, many years ago I used to oblige and make, but I did find I was losing my own making time, so about 20 years ago, I began to explain to people that I simply didn’t have time to make all that I wanted to make for myself and my family let alone for others, and a huge majority of people do not realise how long things take to make. I always offer to teach people to make their own. Thank you for taking the time to share.
You're very welcome Debra. I can be difficult getting people to understand your time is valuable, and that sewing isn't just a quick 5 minute fix😀
Love your videos. You are amazing.
Thank you so much!😀
It is amazing how easy you make this look!!! I never batch sew but even if I see one or 2 all your tips will make it so much easier!!! Thank you!!!
You are so welcome Deborah. Thank you😀
Love the tape hack, works a treat. Thank you for your videos. 😊 Happy sewing.
Thank you Jayne😀
Thanks for outlining your costs involved in making your project. Very often we tend to undervalue our time and worth, your explanation helps so much.
You're welcome Dorothy. Thank you 😊
Those are beautiful! A great fabric choice!
Thanks Brenda😁
I love the way you create zipper tabs. It's so much easier than what I've seen anyone else do.
Thank you Heidi 😊

I always pick up something new from your tutorials, so thank you for spending the time making them for us. This is super interesting as I have a lot of bits that I could use for something similar.
You are so welcome! I love trying to think of things to do with small pieces 😀

Terrific video thank you for all your hints
You're very welcome Sheila😁
Who needs a stilleto when you have a screwdriver. Thanks for sharing
Haha, that is one of my most useful tools Cynthia 😄
I contacted you before regarding your zipper installation. You seem to take for granted how AMAZING your zipper installation is, especially with the continuous zipper and taped ends.
PLEASE, PLEASE do a video concentrating on the zipper.
Your bags do not have that wrinkled corner where the zipper is. Even better than when a piece of fabric is sewn onto the end of the zipper. Your zipper end is not sewn into the bag and therefore no wrinkled corner.
I teach bag sewing to foreigners and want to show them your method but I speak only English, and showing your video with more detail would be amazing.
Thank you. Love your bags.
Hi Rose. I've held off responding to this so that it keeps coming up in my list (otherwise I'll forget). I did a video yesterday focusing on the zipper installation and the tabs. It should be edited tomorrow or Thursday. Hope it's what you're after😁
Oh Wow! Another genuis pattern and fabric designs are gorgeous.Greetings from Ireland, thanks Christine.
Glad you like them Eamon. Thank you 😀
Thank you so much Christine I really really enjoyed watching you create these amazing and beautiful bag’s. Very very thorough too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much Mags😁
Thank you for sharing the whole process, not just the assembly. As for continuous zip, which has always been challenging, I’ll try your method next time.
They get much easier with practice Bessie 😁
Brilliant as always. It so generous of you to share how you work out your pricing.
My pleasure Rachel 😊
Thanks Christine I always pick up snippets if great ideas when watching your videos. Like using up small reels of cotton and bobbins when piecing together. Brilliant. I too went to the local upholsterer and he was more than happy to not throw things out anymore
That's awesome Gaye. I hope you get some great pieces😁
Thank you for sharing your amazing process for sew to sell!
You are so welcome Pam. Thank you 😊
Wow wow! Thank you again for sharing your talent.
My pleasure Debbra 😊
Hey Christine, I loved your video. It enlightened my day in hospital ;-) Next time, when I'm at my parents' house, I'll go through my mom's stash of upholstery samples and sew some bags with the help of your wonderful tutorial. Thank you so much. Many greetings from Bavaria, Susanne
Thanks Susanne. I hope you have a speedy recovery 😊
Hello, Jai from San Antonio TX. I took advice and went to a couple of sofa shops and inquired about old fabric samples, I was promised they will call me when they have some to give me! Thanks for all your instructions on bags.😊
That's awesome Jai. You'll be inundated with fabric soon 😊
Thank you for this. Your ideas, advice and tutorials are wonderful. This is a lovely way in which to use my stash.
You are so welcome Sallie. Thank you😁

Good morning and thanks!
Good morning Patricia 😀
Very thorough tutorial.
Thanks Vallerie 😀
Thanks for the video, Christine. I made some zippered bags last weekend, and did "a Christine" (left the zips closed) on a few of them. They don't turn out as perfect as yours so I'll keep on practicing. I do this as a hobby, the ones I can't give away I'll probably end up giving to vinnies. Oh and I got some continuous zips, deep sigh, that too will take a lot of practice to get the zip pulls on the tape. I had to keep trimming the end, I finally managed to do it though so did a fist pump in the air in triumph. You are an inspiration, thanks again.
Haha, good on you Jane. It took a while for me to get my head around them when I first discovered them. They get a lot easier😁
Lovely bags, as always.
Thank you! 😊
Thanks for sharing,lovely video.
Thank you too Eve ☺️
Those are great! Thanks for sharing!
Glad you like them Georgy. Thank you 😊
Lovely bags. As always x
Thanks Christine 😀
I'm a big fan of you 😅...again lovely bags !!
Thanks Maj 😀
Love these bags! I saw them sitting on a table in a previous video and they caught my eye then.. I love geometrics and those natural desert colors 😍. I can envision so many ways to do these; use vinyl or leather for the small piece, coordinating pattern for the whole back, colored canvas/denim for the whole back, or add that to the small front piece as well. Could even add colored zips to match. 😍😍😍
I noticed some of that fabric was quite stretchy as you sewed. Do you ever use a roller foot and have you found that helps? I sew with a Juki TL model straight stitch machine so I like to find industrial feet so I can speed sew. The walking foot is more for slower home sewing projects. How many different feet do you use in your sewing? Maybe a video on them and their uses would be useful for your viewers.
Glad to see you are healing well, but take it easy Christine... we can see you're a bit of a Tazzy Devil in the sewing room. 😉😁🥰😂😂😂 💞💞
I've added the machine feet video to my list Teresa, just struggling to make the time, but will get there soon I hope😁
Your videos amaze me!! I would love to find an electic rotary cutter like you have. Would you mind sharing a link, brand, exact name...anything that could help me find it. Thank you so much for these great videos. I've just stumbled upon them and can't wait to watch them all!! Blessings!
Charice, I purchased two really cheap cutters a few years ago, so I'd have a back-up, but they've both been great. It's a generic brand, model TY-90B. I purchased it from eBay.
Welcome to the channel😀
😍
Thanks Elke 😀
Thank you for your videos. I have learned so much. Do you pay for the books? I found some from a lady.
Michele, I'm given the sample for free by companies having a clean out 😄
i couldn't quite see, when you top stitch, do you go end 1to end, or just the length of the zipper?
I usually do my topstitching from the end of zipper to other end of zip. I stop at the tabs😀
thank you for replying love love your videos@@ChristinesHomeAffairs
I've had difficulty with some o f the fabrics. Is there a way to work with some of them.
Angie, as with any fabric, sheers, vinyls, cottons, etc. there are techniques for sewing them. Some need stabilisers, others need certain feet. It's hard to know without knowing what you're sewing. Machines, the foot pressure, and needles can all make a difference.😁
What kind of fabric tape do you use? I ordered some and my needle became covered in sticky glue and my thread broke. I had to change out the needle.
It's important to use a double sided tape that is suitable for sewing. The craft tape will gum up your needles. I usually use Sew Easy double sided tape😊
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs Thank you. I ordered a wash away tape. I'm having fun learning along with your videos! I'm a swatch collector, too. Lol
