I got the limited edition of the edge. It can't be overstated how much faster it is cleaning large glass panels with this thing. It really checks all the boxes.
I still remember when the "mag float" first came to market, we hobbyist thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. {man I'm really dating myself about being in around the hobby for a while lol) it's always great to keep seeing new, innovative ideas coming to the hobby!
It's cool and all but I like the other version better with the white feet. It created a better angle to clean off the algae very easily. I've used all the other brands especially the magfloats, and the orig and floating version with the two white nubs work the best for the reason I mentioned above. I also have mine now 4 yrs yet to change the blade and it stays in the tank 24/7 with the blade section raised out of the water when not in use.
Cam a bit off topic but just wanted to know is the heat pump still running on the tank and has there been any issues.... thanx for all the great content you and the team put out
He’s definitely still running the heat pump. My understanding is it hasn’t caused any problems, but it’s important that it is programmed properly to work on the relatively small water volume (compared to it’s normal use of spa baths). Cam
I do like the flipper magnets and have a couple of the standards for two of my smaller tanks. I like the max but I don’t think it’ll perform properly on my Acrylic tank because the panels are 1” or 25mm
@@GalleryAquaticaTV Cam, my tank is 600g (2271 liters) and the panels were custom built. I should reach out to Flipper to see if they are coming out with a magnet soon that would work on thicker panels.. Darren
The Flippers have always been good. I think the flipper edge is a little better than the standard, however I don’t think I would feel the need to replace a standard flipper with the edge. Cam
@@GalleryAquaticaTV yea I've been tire kicking buying this one for a waterbox with really thick glass ...my older flipper/s work but theyre weak magnet wise on thicker glass ...I just hate the idea of spending that much on a freaking magnet lol ....it is the best though
@@GalleryAquaticaTV I used a flipper edge really carefully on my last aquarium it was bare bottom but still ended with very fine scratches on glass i dont like the metal blades at all, i use the tunze care with plastic blade only and replace them every 4/6months they work well better for me but i dont let coraline start any where but back glass
Awesome reef. Absolutely packed 👌

I’ve been using it on large tanks the last 2 weeks now. I totally agree, I find it’s saving me more time than I expected the first time I used it. Cam
Another great time watching and ro h2o ....now I know 🌍
Normally i put water and wet outside the glass .. very smooth movement
love my flipper edge!
I’ve been using mine for a couple of weeks now and I feel the same way. Cam

Me too! But Mag Float are still super popular, certainly still one of our favourites!
Good vidéo 👍👍
Very awesome video amazing unboxing cool 😎 reviews

That’s an amazing run given you don’t take it out of the tank after use. Well done original Flipper! Cam
Good review what’s the height on high tech reef ?
It’s 80cm high. Cam
what are those lights? radion?

Where is he skiing at this time of the year
Queenstown, New Zealand.

Wow, that’s thick acrylic. I’ve been using the flipper edge on 19mm glass but haven’t tried it on anything thicker. Cam

what about the corners, how's handle ?
It’s easy to control the blade to safely get into the corners. The large handle helps and makes it comfortable to use. Cam
I was nearly going to mention all the huffing and puffing cleaning the glass but the tip at the end was a good one.
The other good tip is to use the smaller version of the Flipper Edge on 12mm glass😊 Cam
Pity he didn’t give you that tip at the beginning of the demo. 😂😂😂👍🏴
Lol, totally😂 To be honest I should have used the smaller Flipper Edge on that tank being 12mm glass, but I wanted to test the big boy. Cam
Unfortunately I have a flipper in every tank so I'm currently not in the market for another

@@GalleryAquaticaTV no way. The standard is top quality. Hard to improve on it
I like the flipper
Bad idea to have blades on both sides. Guaranteed scratches on glass for sure. I will stick with float version.
I love how u guys name all the tanks you show on youtube, makes it fancy
It also means viewers can look back at previous videos of the tanks. We have done 2 or 3 videos on this tank. Cam
Magnet almost looked too strong for that tank...and at $140 USD ....flipper is tripping for that price....
To be honest I should have used the smaller flipper edge. The Max is better on thicker glass than this tank. Cam

No way, tunze care all day long cam
I like the Tunze as well, except when you put the float on. It is excellent for tough algae. I find the Flipper Edge just as good as the Tunze. Cam

be careful sir with your glass this flipper is very bad it can scratch your glass..i have experienced it..design of an idiot😂
