Wow it almost looked like you were driving a different class car compared to the others around you. I guess the higher up the field the more competetive they become right? Nice drive
@@jmracing1665 slower in straights but higher speeds through many corners turn 2 i dont like to fall under 84 mph for example. hitting 157-159 for top guys this week at this layout . whats your iracing handle ?
Thanks for your comment. It's the gearing of the beetle gearbox. Acceleration in third can be flat if you don't keep the momentum up. 2nd would be too low. My cam could be better but it's mostly down to skill in keeping up momentum and slipping the clutch when you can't.
Yes, a Vee tactic/ The driver replied further up and as a former Vee driver I concur! It's sometimes better to slip the clutch to keep the engine spun up rather than downshift. Mostly because of the characteristics of the Beetle gear box and the low-powered, momentum preserving style of racing these cars require.
Great drive! Smooth, accurate lines... and brave in places!!!
Thanks for the comment Rob, hope you are well.
Awesome race! Well done 👍
Once you had passed for the lead I thought I was watching F-1 for a minute. 2nd to last lap you were gettin it
Nice one, thanks for the video.
Great drive!

Yes, that usually happens in lots of categories when cars are almost the same (so not F1 for example)
You were just very unlucky with those 2 guys... :-( Good drive...
Amazing!!!
do you have a square-tubed space frame or a circular-tubed? and which one do you think is best?
I need to take what I saw here and use it on iracing lol. Good race tho
Lol was thinking the same, did it work?
@@mitt4276 yeah it’s useful
Do you run iracing as well ? If you do can you tell a difference in how iracing vs IRL is ???
iracing is slower and a lot less grip. Honestly the ff1600 feels closer to UK spec Vee at least.

Great racing. Seems like you had lack of power from exit of low speed corners, it sounds weird too. Do you know what was the problem?

@@jmracing1665 Yes, that clutch slipping is what i noticed but i was not sure what that was. So is it happening because of low rpm right? Thank you.
What is the age range of drivers in this series?
16 to 60+
Am I hearing things or does this chap declutch momentarily coming out of some of the uphill curves??? Very odd!! Is this a FV tactic or something??
